Getting sentenced to death, spending at least 10 years in prison, then being killed mercilessly by other prisons is the most satisfying punishment for these monsters.
Being in prison for multiple life sentences whilst being tortured occasionally would be preferable but unfortunately people don't live long enough

My father, Stephen Emerine, was a cop-beat reporter for the Tucson Citizen, and the stories he told were terrifying. Schmidt and Winnie Ruth Judd, however innocent I believe her to have been, were the bogeyman of my growing up (I was born in 1960). You've done a good job here with a tricky and stupendous icky subject.

My mum phoned me one day she’d found your podcast. I watched true crime and the shows of live surgeries because I wanted to either be a surgeon or something's on forensics

This story always breaks my heart! I remember watching a video about her while I was pregnant and I just cried for hours. I think about that poor baby at least once a week 7 years later. Absolutely heartbreaking.

I can so relate to what u said about the smell of decomposing bodys because my partner who passed away a little over a year ago on the 27th of August 2021 had a very...." different " profession than your average person the job title he was given by the team around him was * the body guy " in Detroit, Michigan in the U.S as he transported and picked up the dead from every kind situation and place from crime scenes, car or bike accidents, hospital's to care homes , abandoned houses and lakes, shallow graves basically anywhere you can imagine a person may meet there end from every imaginable course and as you said Emma the smell of " death " is a smell that once your exposed to nothing can reset or undo the memory of it .... not EVER ...
He must have had a very strong stomach for that type of work! I'm so sorry for your loss.
@@inuchan74 yer the thing is he got into it straight after leaving high school an he was doing it for almost 25 years so he was desensitized 2 it I guess although it was quite a opener to say the least I did find the ride a longs interesting

Wow! This is so much more than a true crime account. I have never seen anything to match it! I'm interested to know more about you as you seem to know quite a bit about human behaviour and psychology. Do you have any training/education/work experience, anything that explains how you're able to discuss these topics with such accuracy and information. Your personality and humour are also additional components that add such positive and enjoyable effects to your story narrative. I also like the addition of your personal life experiences like parenting and how you're able to add different dimensions and perceptions to your overall story telling. I wish I were as good at telling you how refreshingly different and entertaining I found your style by your account and performance of this man and his crimes. I will definitely go back to watch your previous works while eagerly looking forward to any new videos you'll be sharing from this day forward. Emma there is a book called I the squealer have you heard of it? It’s written by the man who gave him up Richard bruns - it’s very good!! Goes into lots of detail regarding Charles and his mental and his physical decline. Especially about the boots aswell! Also it is rumoured that Charles parents refused to claim his body or attend any service when he was murdered xxx
There was a service at the Florence State Prison where Schmid was burried !!! also you may want to see the documentry comming out next year on Charles Schmids life story also his wife has written a book called The Unfinished Man it will be out next fall also

Pied Piper reminds me of 3 children who went missing in the 60s in Pirmasens (Germany). Always on a Friday near one landmark and they were not found. It is a mystery that never was solved. The police had a suspect, but the townsfolk thought it may have been a US soldier (there was a base in town). The suspect had to go trough an ordeal of 600 hours of interrogation, he was send to a mental home, but was freed because hin incarceration was not in accordance of the law. Imagine they parents died and never knew what happened to their children.

One of the main reasons, that he was called the Pied Piper of Tucson. There was a hit pop/rock song at that time in late 1965, early 1966 getting air-play by a British artist, named Crispian St. Peter called the..."Pied Piper."
