Thank you! My family is looking to living in Sohar and I'm a bit worried about the new environment, people, etc! This helped calm me down a lot and I saw that this would be a beautiful city to live in :)
Glad to help. I lived in Muscat so am not an expert on Sohar. To me there are 2 parts of Sohar. There is a motorway from Muscat to Dubai that runs through Sohar. The area I feature is the east of the motorway. I consider this the older part of Sohar. On the west side of the motorway you have newer (mostly-expat) gated communities. If you choose to live there, it will be more modern and you will have all the conveniences you need. I have another video tour of a one bed flat on the Corniche (in the older part). You may want to check that out as well.
Woow bro - u brought some lovely memories back. I lived in sohar for 11 years and tbh, regretting leaving it. What makes Oman generally beautiful r the people. U should have tried the other cafe next to the Lebanese restaurant called Robusta I think.
I first visited Qatar in 2012 and didn't really like it. I went back in 2019 and noticed a lot of change. Much improved, I really liked it the second time.
Lucky enough to live in Sohar in the early 2000s. Beautiful city, and great people. Was there just as the new fish market opened. I lived on the Corniche not far from the fish market, The port was being developed at that time - eye opener seeing it now.
I have a friend that lived on the corniche. I have another video of her flat. Take a look if you haven't seen it. I don't know how it was back when you lived in Sohar but it has been growing. Looks like a lot of people from UAE have been buying properties.
hello, we are planning to move to Sohar in a year or 2 i have never been to Oman before so everything will be new for us, may I ask you to recommend us a good residential area for rental that we can look into? im planning to put my kids in Sohar internat6ional school any idea how is it? appreciate your help. Thanks
Thanks for watching the video. Sohar is a nice change from Muscat - not too busy, not too quiet. If you haven't been you should and head to the corniche.

Nice I am living in sohar last 6 year.. Nice people, peaceful country.
Yes, Sohar is lovely. You have the benefits of a city right on an accessible beach. Plus, Dubai is nearby as well!
