They're really quite strong! I think this video is a good showcase of just what you can do with them and how versatile they really are. I'm thinking of making straight-up Guides/Tutorials on how to be ridiculous at this game, look forward to that once I figure out how to add commentary professionally on PC lmao. Until then, sadly no Leo Talks either :(

Yeah! And you can do it off of ANY fire source, including your own firebomb puddles or the tip of your own dropped Torch (difficult).

Those sleep darts are kinda op....but SO FUN. It is great how fast you can subdue enemies like that.
Definitely, they accelerate gameplay which is why I like to use them. Same w/Smoke from Unity and Syndicate. If you're terrible Sleep Darts and Smoke won't save you -- but if you have some baseline skill and you want to play a bit faster they speed things up and keep the game moving at a decent pace. :D
Leo K [Rogue] At least the smoke is a bit nerfed here, since you cannot aim with it.
Do you know if the poison darts are any good?
Smoke is still amazing BTW. You can use it for quite a few handy things. But yeah, I like how it's a ninja-style "drop at your feet' again.
Poison Darts are very good if you're overleveled for your area. You can tag each enemy with one of them and wait for them all to die in quick succession, so they also save time if enemies are quite a bit below you in terms of Level. They also act off of Fire the same way Sleep Darts do.
Out of curiosity, which ACs do you prefer to play? I enjoy watching ur AC Unity content a lot because it seems like the game has a whole other layer to it gameplay wise. High level play and all that, sorta like DMC's mechanics. The newer games seem to have abandoned that, so just curious if you still feel one is better than the other
AC1 is my favorite game ever made.
Other than that, AC1-Rev are Best, 3-Rogue are second-best, Unity-Syndicate are acceptable, Origins is fine and Odyssey is utterly abysmal. Short Version: I enjoy AC less and less the newer it is, as more and more of the game is gutted and torn down without being replaced by equivalent depth.

Origins is my favorite AC game with Unity being second and AC1 being third. Origins, I feel, is a good mix between old and new. AC1 had solid, amazing gameplay, and Unity felt unique and new when it worked correctly. I'm actually a big fan of Odyssey as a standalone game. As an AC game though, it's not good. Syndicate is awful imo and is the worst in the franchise.
You're telling me I have 140+ hours in this game and never knew I could sleep dart a fire pit for AOE?

Everyone playing origins, but me is ACIV XD, good video men!
ACIV is a *fantastic* game, and a good one to play before Origins since a lot of the basic ideas introduced in Black Flag are applied even better in Origins. Of course, Origins is more about land than water, but the exploration, the progression and upgrading, they feel somewhat similar. Just evolved.
I like the new two step (upgraded) smoke bombs. Also glad someone else loves the Smoke and Mirrors bow...sweet.

I always thought of using senu to see a groups path then drop a torch to where they are going and then use throw a sleep dart at the torch
That's a really clever idea.
Combat tip for origins. If you have a weapon with insta charge attack, preferably a straight sword, doing a parry and then the insta charge attack, it will insta kill most enemies, or do a load of damage instead

Replaying AC Origins again now (first playthrough 2020), and my only gripe which remains about the game is how switching the tools requires you to open the Gear page every time

I definitely will. It costs a lot and it doesn't really *do* anything functionally, so I don't have it yet, but as I play more and more I'll get it eventually. :) I aim to unlock everything. Shame there's no mission replay so it wouldn't fucking matter, but hey, that's Ubisoft games lmao
Yea really annoyed at the no replay choice. Would have loved to redo some of my more sloppy main assassinations. As for the bow skill, I thought it was stupid until I saw a video featuring it heavily. Its pointless but honestly so much fun especially with a light bow or a well timed hunter bow.
At least theres a million different level 40 bandit hideouts to raid. And the dlc will probably add even more high level areas.
I will need to get it for an Achievement so, fully relate. I'm very much looking forward to The Hidden Ones. Sooo much. My god.

Pity this is the only one moments of glory of Origins :(( this is probably my favorite AC game now since I finished it very recently. Btw is Odyssey worth it since I loved Origins?
Depending on who you ask you'll get a different answer. It also depends on what exactly you liked about Origins. If you liked the gameplay mostly, then you might have a fun time with Odyssey. If you liked the atmosphere or the story or the world, Odyssey is very different, and in my opinion, less enjoyable in those regards.

WD1 has my favorite atmosphere and story, WD2 and Legion's gameplay is a little smoother.

No one told me about it, I independently discovered that throwing Sleep Darts into Fire causes a huge sleep-cloud that knocks out everybody in the area. Putting two and two together, I wondered what would happen if I threw a Sleep Dart into the flames from my own Firebomb. The results are in this video. :)
