  • Camping may not seem impactful at times, but it's a great feature that has a lot of usage such as healing, buffs, scouting and the like.

    • @bonogiamboni4830
      @bonogiamboni4830 Před rokem +4

      I'll be honest, i've never noticed such a big difference between them. My thought process is "oh fuck, i got afflicted" or "oh fuck yeah, i got virtuous", the specific name of the thing doesn't change too much. Most of them (maybe all) of the afflictions will have the afflicted person cause stress to the others, a lot of them involve passing turns, a lot involve harming themselves or others, a lot involve moving forward or back, a lot involve making a random move without my input. Same with virtuous, a lot of them (probably all) involve removing some stress from the party, a few heal, a few... i have way less experience with virtues than with afflictions for obvious reasons. If we're including the crimson curse in there i'd say all the virtues i've gotten so far are equally good, then i'd argue the crimson curse also counts as an affliction/virtue more than a disease (especially in bloodlust mode) and is worse than a virtue but better than an affliction, then rapturous for the flag is worse than the curse but better than generic afflictions, then every affliction is about on par in terms of fucking up my day. That said quick question, can the flagellant get virtuous? If so does he have a specific virtue or the generic ones? I don't have that much experience with him.

      @@bonogiamboni4830 Some afflictions, specifically Fearful, Selfish and Abusive, never refuse friendly skills, so they're easier to cure mid-dungeon. I, therefore, consider them the less bad afflictions. Abusive also gives +damage, so it's a contender for the least bad affliction. Masochistic is also not too bad because it doesn't skip turns and doesn't reduce your damage or accuracy.
      On the other hand, Irrational can do every stupid thing afflictions can do, so it's the worst imo.

      I know this comento is really old, but you are not supposed to cure the speed debuff it gives you, having less speed can be usefull to make sure your arbalest goes after whoever else is in your party thats supposed to mark target, making it so you can mark and shoot the marked guy since first round, its really usefull since buff gives you dmg and crit already, that plus the mark is meant to oneshot or ay least leave target low just yo be executed by someone else, making it so you can finish off quick and move on to another target next round repeating the mark and shoot trick

You put Sandstorm on your squishy or your dedicated back liner who can’t be marked/stressed/pulled ( by the sycophants enraging slight ) and the courtesans. You could rate the progression of the Armor and Weapons of the heroes, from battered clothes to the named version. Talk about if you like the visual design of the equipment, the progression, and the final, named version in comparison to the other ones.
    I'm guessing not much to talk about mechanically, other than maybe which heroes take priority when upgrading, if you are low on gold to upgrade everyone before a mission.
    Could be more of a lighthearted tierlist, where you just get to vibe over the heroe's fashion sense and their cool outfits
    ♥And there's some funny stuff in there too, like how the graverobber's first jacket is a stolen jacket, or that the occultist gets better and better skulls 🤣Like, what the hell is a "fine skull" supposed to be??

    I never understood why the heroes can prepare themselves so well while camping in the middle of a dungeon, but don't do those preparations before leaving off for the dungeon.
    Like, they usually have a whole week, where they probably do nothing while another party is out adventuring. Hellion could have sharpened her spear and gone into her battle trance, man-at-arms could have given everyone some basic pointers in tactics, Arbalest could have given everyone her marching plan before they leave, Crusader could have given everyone a huge pep talk before the start...
    I guess the idea is that they replenish themselves in the middle of the adventure, but it just feels weird that the boosts they get from camping are not there when they start the dungeon, as if they just went without doing the proper preparations, and then decided to do their maintenance while they are in the dungeon.
    Of course it would be very unbalanced, but I would find it cool if they started out with those buffs in the beginning of the dungeon. Like, highwayman, you could have cleaned your guns before you left home.

    I'm on Bloodmoon with the 2nd mission(first time!!) of the last location with Vestal, Highwayman, Houndmaster, Occultist(their positioning is respective to the order that I put it in) and then Occultist dies way too early after the first miniboss and all 3 of my surviving characters have reached death's door and I'm all out of food. I then set up camp and use Sanctuary which just absolutely SAVES everyone. In a scenario like that when a mission is going horribly wrong but you seriously think you can still beat it, Sanctuary is an absolute life-saver!!
    Also funny note: all 3 of my characters wound up being virtuous(cuz I like bringing Tentacle idol and ring) and beat the other 2(3) minibosses by just spamming divine comfort, grapeshot blast and hound's harry. It might sound insane but RNG does crazy things sometimes.

Characters don't seem to have a base accuracy mod, as it is entirely skill dependant. Sniper shot has 115 acc @ level 5. There are lots of backline enemies that have around 40 dodge, giving her a 75% chance to hit (for example.) Assuming my math is correct here and the game isn't different than I assume, why would you not like a bump to accuracy in many cases?

    • @ShuffleFM

      I went and checked the enemies to be safe and a lot have 30-35 dodge, but only a few get higher than that like virago and madman. I'd say 80-85% is enough. Still being hit capped is nice. Personally I think it's fine in regards to restring crossbow, especially because the normal arb playstyle is shoot once or twice then heal. If you are going hyper carry arb then it's different and restring gets more appealing.

    If you need to strees heal with a Jester at camp, then you are doing a bad job with Jester or you are in a lvl 5 cove

    Bless 10ACC, 10 DODGE: "Eh, I dunno, kinda weird to get a little bit of offense and a little bit of defense, it's OK, B tier"
    Trinket tier list: Lucky talisman, 12 ACC (ranged), 10 DODGE: "this is A" 😅😂
    To be fair, graverobbers main defense is dodge, and the trinket is a constant buff. But still, that would mean that bless also has value. Then again, maybe against other camp skills it's not that impressive, and it doesn't serve as much of a purpose...

      I think bless is better than I said here, but the main reasoning is that camp skills are highly competitive compared to trinkets

    I don’t understand how you don’t put all the prevent nighttime ambush camp skills at S+ tier, because they’re the skills you HAVE to press at every camp right?? Every other skill is optional but you can’t not press prevent nighttime ambush?

    • @ShuffleFM
      @ShuffleFM  Před 3 lety +1

      I subconsciously considered the ambush preventers as a group. The effect is good, but that's why hound's watch and bandit's sense were higher because sanctuary and the others were compared to that. There are some times where you don't feel the need to prevent ambush surprisingly. Their occurrence rate is only 33% iirc and if you don't use a preventer you can scramble your party to counteract it.

      @@ShuffleFM thanks for the reply man, and yeah that makes sense, I should try scrambling my party next time I don’t have a party that can prevent! 👍

    Second comment for the algorithm
    I dislike Sanctuary, because Vestal is, by design, not supposed to let anyone hit Death’s Door, and therefore it is v occasional that there’s 3 heroes with mortality, let alone 1. I don’t think I’ve ever had a vestal and mortality debuffs ever; could be my luck thought.
    B tier, I recognize the usefulness, but argue it is reactive

    Me, wanting to use Antiquarian in the next dungeon for sweet cash: Curious Incantation + 3 Pep Talks at like 50 stress
    Cultist Witch: first off thats really rude
    Jester: haha ting tiddly ting ting ting
    Edit: I would argue +40 stress move for Flag is excellent due to what you mentioned with Anti, where the enemies will begin to focus him down! Rapturous is bad, don’t get me wrong, but if anyone is going to afflict, you want it to be him. I would say Long dungeon use; easy C-B tier for situational, but effective use.
    Alot of the worse skills you can make an argument for, Like +40 stress lash for abusing the game to focus him, and Pray, because while the religious heroes CAN heal themselves, do you really want to be pushing those buttons? Pray is proactive, meaning you can push better buttons, you can Exanguinate and take advantage of low HP flag, Crusaders -25 stress means he can hit his better buttons instead, and can stall heal others like Flag instead of himself.
    Chant is still absolute garbage though

    At 42:50 with vestals "religous" characters I believe that God fearing characters are considered religious despite the character being non religious and vice versa with faithless on religious making them non religious
