    This was my favorite science we have done so far! Earth Science is so well done. We LOVED the student notebook with it!

    We just love apologia! We got the new version of zoology one for next year. . .but we actually already started it because my kids were so excited about it.
    Thanks for the review and flip through!

    We did this one last year and it’s one of our favorites! I had actually planned on (and bought) the botany unit and at the last second saw this had been release and knew it was right up my oldest’s ally/interests. We started doing the paper mache, and realized it was not going to last so I bought a foam craft ball from Hobby Lobby and we did all the projects of making our own globe from there. My so really loved the geosphere chapter since all the rock experiments ended up being food-related 😅. I’m definitely doing this again when my younger ones are a couple grades older.

    I'm always looking for quality science resources and haven't heard of this curriculum at all so can't wait to order it and dive into it! THANKYOU

    I'm doing this next year with a 6th grader, 3rd grader, and 1st grader. I bought the supply kit so I have no excuses. 😅 Thanks for sharing!

    We don’t buy science kits so the lists of supplies are helpful!!! The cork glove is an awesome idea!!!

    We’re only halfway but I love it and the kids really enjoyed learning about avalanches.

    I've been looking at this as well as berean builders (former apologia writer) I saw that he had said that the new owners of apologia and the what we believe series went against his personal beliefs, did you find the same problems? I'm trying to find the best fit for us.

      Do you know what exactly he found against his beliefs? I’m not sure his personal convictions.

    Looks great. Do they also have video content, or just the option for an audio book? Also, is this written from a young earth or old earth perspective?

    • @LifeintheMundane
      @LifeintheMundane  Před 6 měsíci

      It’s written from young earth perspective. They only have audiobook & textbook options in the elementary ages, however in the older ages they have both audio and visual options too

      Thank you for your reviews and insights on homeschooling! On the young earth question: does it mention any of the reasons some might view earth from different ages or purely teaches young earth? How often is the topic of Earth's age brought up in this textbook? Thanks again for all you do!

    Trying figure out is one science kit enough for multiple children (2). Did you feel like it was enough supplies for all your children and how did you manage?

    • @LifeintheMundane
      @LifeintheMundane  Před rokem +1

      Great question I just get one kit. Often times there are enough supplies to do multiple experiments but occasionally there is only enough to do one. In those cases, we usually just do it together as a family.

    Would you recommend zoology 1 for a 6 year old and 8 year old?

    • @LifeintheMundane
      @LifeintheMundane  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Yes BUT just be warned that the first chapter can come across a bit intense because it is just helping kids understand animal classifications. Don't feel like they need to master that they are just trying to help give your kids hooks to hang that information on in the future. The rest of the book they would have a complete blast with and I am so excited that they have redone the edition to make it more user friendly

    Exactly what science kit did you get to go with the Earth Science curriculum?

    • @LifeintheMundane

      I got the apologia earth science kit from Natures Workshop Plus www.workshopplus.com?ref=lifeinthemundane

    Hi. I am trying to piece together a 9th grade high school science. Would you consider this earth science to be enough for 9th grade?

    • @LifeintheMundane
      @LifeintheMundane  Před 2 měsíci

      No this is defenitly more geared towards elementary school 1st-6th maybe 7th but not 9th. We are doing Apologias highschool curriculum for 9th grade next year. glnk.io/4x177/katie64t

    How long did it take you to get thru the entire book?

    • @LifeintheMundane
      @LifeintheMundane  Před 3 měsíci

      We do a chapter every two weeks so it takes the full year but I do know some who do a chapter a week and do one book per semester
