  • HORRIBLE Death on The Killer Mountain
Nanga Parbat is a mountain that evokes both admiration and danger, earning its foreboding title- 'The Killer Mountain.' Standing tall and imposing, its towering heights become a battleground where climbers challenge themselves against harsh glaciers, avalanches, and fierce storms. This challenging terrain has tragically claimed the lives of many, yet it continues to attract with an irresistible appeal.

“Killer mountain” - what kind of ridiculous nonsense is that?!?
The mountain is just that, a mountain. The “killer” is people themselves, by insisting on going to places and entering conditions humans are not meant to live or be in.
No matter the planning - when entering places and conditions like this mountain (and the other bucket list mountains), people put themselves at extreme risks, which I guess is kind of the point for some, and it is definitely not the “fault” of the mountain if someone perish there.
The mountains were there long before humans arrived at the scene, and we should respect them, and the rest of nature, far more than we often, not to say usually, do.

Mountains that inadvertently cause climbers to lose their lives doesn't quite have the same ring and intrigue as 'killer mountain' tho' does it. It's just a name.

he was climbing to get this high, he thought he will get this the natural way and killed himself. if they got him clean and affordable morphium to feel fine, he would be still alive but we are told all the time that you have to quit, even if it kills you

The word "conquer" is repeatedly used by people such as yourself when describing the accomplishments of elite mountaineers. No one conquers a mountain. If you get to the summit, the mountain, and Mother Nature, have been kind enough to let you ascend to the zenith and get off the mountain with your life. I have 50 humble summits to my credit, I have fallen into a crevasse once, and I always thank the Mountain for the privilege of getting to the top. As my guides have taught me, it is a numbers game. If you go high enough, long enough, your number may show up. Be humble and careful, always!

Mountains are indifferent to the activities of men.
Those who manage to reach a summit can only achieve that when conditions allow.

This video makes the claim that they endured temps of -60 celsius ascending to Elizabeth. Well, -60 degrees celsius is -76 degrees fahrenheit. Sorry, not buying it. That is an insanely low temp that this planet rarely sees. To be out hiking around in that kind of cold would be lethal. Sensationalistic journalism - nothing new.

@@kujju18 I'm curious about what you know about addiction? Bcz behavioral addictions (such as thrill seeking, sex, gambling, exercise...) are just as addictive as any substance. And when one source stops giving the necessary results, addicts will find something that does. This event is tragic. Not bcz it's someone was overcoming a moral failing. It's tragic because society still sees addicts as garbage who need punishment.
As Gabor Mate puts it "If negative consequences cured addiction, there would be no addicts".
