Good work, Scary Days! I live vicariously through mountaineers while in reality I’m bedridden with a neurological pain disease and can’t walk. I’d never climb Everest, but in ‘04 I did climb from the valley of Yosemite to the top of Half Dome, and I sat on the tiny point that juts out, my arms in the air. What made my climb special to me is that climbing up the side, I didn’t touch the rope ONCE. I was a superfit personal trainer back then and used all leg power to get up there, leaning way forward so I didn’t topple off the rock. It was a blast! Those days are over for sure, but I’m thankful for all you creators who help me remember the outdoors.

I used to be a skydiver. Then I had an accident where I broke my sacrum in 5 pieces, left femur, right fibula, herniated two spine discs and 24 surgeries later I’m still riding Grand Prix dressage. I also love climbing videos. My admiration for your past achievements.

Great video! One thinf: the first map you used was for the southeast route. The maps thereafter are correct for the north. Cheers

I don't admire all these mountaineers. They risk to get frostbitten and lose fingers and toes or, worse, they risk to lose their lives, some even with small children waiting for them at home. Is that really worth it? These mountains in the Himalayas are holy places and should remain untouched.

If he took the ski journey in 1970, how did the movie the man who skied down Everest come out in 1957? That is a big discrepancy. The producers need to change the voiceover to reflect the correct year. Rookie mistake that can be easily fixed then reuploaded. Otherwise, it was a well executed presentation.

Can you please tell us the elevation's in ft & inches. I am old and did not learn or use the metric system in school, it was probably not used or known back then in the 1950's.

A meter is 39.4 inches. Just call it 39 inches.
8,000 meters is basically 5 miles.
      7,000 meters is 4.35 miles.

The hell was all that about caves with ancient symbols and artifacts?? It was NOT made clear if this was a hallucination, and how would anyone know if the guy died? I think this script was written by AI.

Nepal needs to make anyone who pays to climb Everest sign a document saying if they fall in the death-zone, no one is going to help and they know this.. That would stop a good few from dying a year.
then, they need to make a deposit of like $30,000 a person that you only get back if you live AND bring all your trash down and can prove it.
Sounds harsh.. but the Sherpa would still make great money and it would wipe out the rich thrill seeking weekend-warrior types that have ruined the mountain.
Cafe and massage parlor in Base Camp?? come the fuck on, this is pathetic.

How does the narrator know the internal thoughts of a climber just before he perished? This is not an accurate doc

Too much hyperbole and melodramatizing. Just stick to the facts and let the story tell itself. Your viewers don't need all the internal thoughts, which you cannot know, making them sound disingenuous. Hope this feedback helps as you grow your channel.
