- I'm sure the subject of this video needs no introduction but TODAY we're going to be talking about Shortbread: The Most Toxic Dead By Daylight Twitch Partner!
As someone who wasn't involved in the original back and forth, I've tried to approach this as an independent third party as much as possible to give my thoughts on Shortbread and what he stands for as a Twitch streamer.

I put a note at the start about Spooks' new video but just to reiterate, I did record and edit this before that video was released with no knowledge that Spooks was planning to release his follow up. I still stand by my video and think it has some prevalent points though, which is why I'm releasing it :)

For anyone who wants an update on the situation, Shortbread's Twitch channel has been temporarily banned due to Policy Violations on September 12th 2022. We'll be waiting to see if it's a permanent ban or a temporary ban but it would appear that Twitch have finally paid attention!

Our friend Shortbread here not only harassed (and by the looks of it, sexually harassed) people, he also accused Spooks of being a racist, accused his fanbase of being a racist, brought his kids in, etc. He deserves to be wiped off Twitch's face.

I have seen SpooknJukes videos on this guy as well as Epidemy's. The fact he is still allowed to stream on Twitch is insane to me. This guy is a disgusting person who treats his own community like shit. Hopefully he is de-platformed soon.
Thinking about how other streamers gets banned for basically no reason, its kinda insane yes.

It's because he is a partner with a revenue stream for Amazon. Once you are partner, they tend to be more forgiving of violations versus regular and affiliate members. Case in point, there is a lady who regularly exposes herself on stream, but because she is partner, they won't restrict her account, even with using the vtuber tag the other week as a means of getting more viewers (and saying to vtubers who informed her via chat that she was in violation of the vtuber tag rule) that she intends to keep using it to spite vtubers and get viewers.
I had the unfortunate pleasure of experiencing Shortbreads attitude by getting him in a game. Im a much smaller channel and when one of my moderators saw his name they said hey I know him hes a streamer. I was playing a joke build at the request of my stream at the time of pre fixed Legion and was playing a challenge where I could only down a survivor with Deep Wounds. I asked her unknowing his attitude to just pop into his channel and say GL HF. That was all she did and he ripped into her with his normal nasty attitude calling her a c*nt and other nasty things before banning her for promoting another streamer when all she said was "Your killer says Good Luck and have fun." When I say he was a partner and treated her the way he did I was very sad that she got treated so and very sorry I asked her to say anything.
Sadly, behaviour like this isn't that rare in this game's community...
It's not rare but shouldn't be praised or tolerated like SB (a.k.a TT). I feel this guy should be reported for bullying other streamers and his own audience, the fact he keeps going and he himself is a bad person, as the saying goes the only person who can recognize all the alligations, if he himself is often doing it. So far I haven't had the displeasure of playing with him yet but I will avoid that man if I do see him. And Swiftwind sorry to hear you went through all that with your GF man you guys don't deserve that.

So far I'm really enjoying the video, and your criticisms on my part are 100% valid. This was my first time being involved in any sort of drama, and the allegation he said against me happened about a week before I was to work at a summer camp with K-5 kids. With that being said I decided to do my best to report only the facts and to me that included his real twitch name rather than changing anything. Great job on the video though and no hate

Yeah I think we need to start naming larger people who do this shit, like twitch partners. this community has far surpassed league of legends in its prime for one of the worst communitys and something needs to be done.
I’m glad more people are calling him out and bringing this to light. I watched Epidemys videos and I thought it was only a matter of time before spooknjukes and now our dear Aaron. Hopefully the more exposure this gets the problem will be solved but unfortunately, it’s never usually that easy :(
Its kind of a balancing act. Exposing morons like shortbread gives them increased viewership which is obviously undesired, but it should speed up their removal from the platform

I love the whole SolitaryGrounds bit where he comes across him and is all "I know this guy, he's a fellow streamer that likes Nurse" and then ends it with "No one will remember you". Seems like ShortBread sure remembers him well :D
It will forever baffle me how people like this can have a following, and even more so how Twitch would consider them for Partner, but I guess like minded people flock together. I've seen his chat and the sheep in there are just as terrible. But it doesn't help that he bans anyone that voices a different opinion or questions his behavior.
I don't know how Trump has a following, either

I got raided by this guy once. He seemed pretty cool. Clearly I was wrong. I guess around that time it would've been easy to miss what he was like since he wasn't in drama. But being so quick to belittle people and weaponise his community is a clear red flag to me.
Its interesting to hear this because Spooks had a similar thought as he said "he seemed funny and not toxic" but then ShortBread proved very quickly that he was this way.
@@billierae4406 if I had to guess I think he raided me back in 2019. So along time ago. I was only in his community for less than a year. It just wasn't very interesting. He is generally unpleasant to everyone and it is hard to read into if it is banter or him being a dick. On top of the fact he will change the narrative. I think he does that on purpose so he can decide if it is a joke or not at the last second. The was a recent video I came across of him complaining about killers slugging for 4k. One of his viewers pointed he did the same and the over reaction of him insulting that viewer and also saying his complaints were joke were insane. The guy was Stone faced on his statements he just can't stand admitting to having a bad take.
@@billierae4406 because if you actually watch his stream, and catch it at the right parts, he can be decent. He has been around DBD a long time, and can give some good information and insights. But when he gets even slightly irritated, that switch flips and he goes completely off the deep end. Zero filter.
I've seen spooks videos on "ShortBread" although I wouldn't be surprised if more videos are made about him. The fact he still isn't banned is shocking.
Like a certain other partner who literally strips off her bikini in her inflatable pool while straddling an inflatable banana and Twitch won't lift a finger against her even though there are multiple severe ToS violations in her streams; but because she has over a thousand viewers per stream, they won't touch her cash cow status for them.

I really like your outlook on all of this, especially inadvertently pushing people their direction or increasing their viewership. It's like quote tweeting people. It rarely has it's intended effect, people just get bigger because of it

The fact that this guy calls people inbred pos because they respectfully disagree about a video game is so weird to me. It really is like watching a child throw a tantrum because they aren't getting what they want. I think what he wants is for everyone to see his opinion as the most important. It feels highly egotistical to me.
That being said people should not send hate to him. This guy has extremely hateful and toxic behavior imo, but to try and change that by being hateful and toxic will never work. What needs to happen is people not supporting this. When you go to his stream and sit through his ads you are giving him monetary gain for him being hateful towards people he deems as less than him, so I would highly encourage people to not give out his name and to just stay out of his stream. He will never learn that way and it cannot be good for YOUR mental health to sit through that. Call it out from a distance.

A lot of the time, these people throw insults that seem to "come out of nowhere" or don't seem to be relevant to anything because they themselves are guilty of it.
They accuse other people of what they are guilty of. It's the first thing to come to their minds because they are guilty of it.

Twitch should terminate his channel considering he is breaking their guidelines about how he treats his audience and other people. And he is using very inappropriate terms to berate his community. I hope Twitch does something about people who are like this because this is hurting the audience when a streamer attacks viewers and it makes Twitch look bad.

That guy.. I once was in his stream just to check him out (that was before the drama). He was so toxic already. And the worst I saw was that his community adapted to the toxicity and fuel it. I don't think someone like that guy should be even streaming let alone be a twitch partner. He says so many horrible things in his stream over nothing.

I was wondering if/when you'd be making a video on him. I really like the way you approached it and I agree with your point that the videos of the other 2 creators helped to boost his numbers. I hope Twitch stops sleeping on this and removes him, but given that he's making them money, sadly they may not.

I watched his stream for about 5 minutes last night and the way he carries himself is- kind of scary. It’s pure arrogance. It’s not confidence in himself or his play abilities, it’s pure “I’m better than everybody else” even when he spoke to his viewers. I’m not surprised he lies constantly about events because arrogant ppl don’t want to be wrong, they always have to be on top. It’s scary to me because if this is how he acts on camera- idk what he acts like off of camera.
That’s exactly the vibe I got as well, I’m not lying when I say it’s genuinely hard to sit in his stream for a long period of time
one month later update. i'm always late to these things but my curiousity got the better of me cuz i'm only just now seeing all this. I checked his twitch. he apparantly got unbanned but his chat is completely dead and his veiwership dropped to very low "double digits" meanwhile solitary seems to be doing very well for himself. Gotta love Karma doing it's job

I am disappointed in the recent positive results and attention shortbread has gained from all this, but honestly not surprised. I think you have the right take on this. Everything that needs to be said has been said, all we can do is continue being the community we want to be rather than giving this any more attention. i was thinking this morning that i hoped you'd make a video about this guy. whilst the videos exposing him are entertaining from the other creators, you're right that making them after this point isn't going to make him change. the guy deserves to be banned for sure.
From what I have seen with Nurses, she is strong af, yes she does have that no-clip but it does take skill to know how much you have to charge her warp. You can end up warping way too far or not far enough without landing a hit on the survivor you're targetting

I was in a game with a streamer and the whole game they complained that our feng wasn’t doing anything to help the team even thought she did all the gens by herself and said the killer was a douche for killing her even thought when she got up she ran into him and all she did was go around the entire map looking for totems for boons, then when she got up because the killer decided to not kill her she just opened the gate and left and still said that it was fengs fault because “she didnt help anyone”, and I got banned from her chat for saying she got out because she got carried by feng

It’s funny how everyone goes out of there way not to say his name but the algorithm suggested one of his videos too me after I watched spookyjukes video about short bread. Lol , imo I think we should reveal their names unless it’s a minor toxic offense but that’s just my opinion. Love the channel.

Just to be clear I'm not saying people should, but if you are going to report his Twitch do not spam reports for no reason. Create a clear and concise report with thorough evidence (include timestamps, video clips, recordings, chat logs, any actual hard proof and relevant ToS rules along side) spam reporting will likely be ignored by Twitch as it can be seen as brigading. Be as calm and succinct as possible while reporting so Twitch takes it seriously, the more evidence the better. Again I'm not telling people to report him but if you are please do it correctly and use the proper avenues and resources to do so.

I have faced this streamer before as huntress. He accused me of hacking and cheating and used similar insults against me. As huntress I run full aura reading perks. I may not have as many hours on PC but I was previously a console player and when I tried to say that he said that console and PC are too different so you can’t relearn mechanics and I just got more confused and got banned. I’ve encountered my share of toxicity but he has stayed on my top three that I avoid and don’t interact with.
Honestly the mental gymnastics this man does, whilst maintaining that full conviction he has that makes it seem like he knows what he’s talking about, is astounding 🙄🙄

Ive followed along with the drama. I don’t follow him myself but I’ve popped into his stream every once in awhile to see if he was genuinely like this. I couldn’t get through 10minutes without him banning and insulting someone for asking a simple question about a perk. He needs to be removed from twitch as soon as possible. He’s absolutely toxic, narcissistic, he speaks with no logic, and always plays victim when he feels back into a corner. Its honestly sad that a boy (boy not man) has to be like this to keep his ego afloat.

Yeah I think a lot of people try and sit through a stream of his to see if he’s actually THAT bad and more often than not they come away with the conclusion that he absolutely is 😂😂

I honestly feel like Twitch needs to be alot harsher and ban way more people than they do now, there are so many openly toxic streamers on Twitch with around 50 viewers, (which is still alot of people). I don't know a single content creator or viewer that hasn't had an experience with a toxic streamer or community and it sucks because on top of keeping our communities a positive and safe space we have to go through many measures to "shield" our community from that side of Twitch. (shoutout to the mods and sery_bot we love you and appreciate you so much
I definitely agree, I guess the issue is for them though that they have thousands upon thousands upon thousands of streamers on their platform, policing all of them is gonna be a difficult task :(
