1:40 - haha, this is exactly what I stressed about the most (well this and the general real world driving vs test driving).
Funnily enough, my examiner told me, "I know you're doing what you're supposed to do with your stopping distances but for the purpose of this test I am happy for you to get right up close to the cars in front as we are in busy hours with heavy traffic".
He said the same thing about the Keep Clear areas, so long as we weren't blocking off emerency vehicle access. I thought, "This man is setting me up for failure!" and it took about 20 minutes for me to believe the man haha.
Love this channel man, smiled like mad when you said you passed. Hopefully going to get the same feeling in a few weeks when I take mine. All the best mate, keep up the good work 🤙🏼
When u pass ur hub test it’s a great feeling of accomplishment and relief and looking forward to the future I passed mine class one 5 years ago have loved ever day of it since.
Love the videos mate, got my Class 2 practical next month. Like you my Dad was also a HGV driver (he still drives occasionally for his job and I help him out when I can). Looking forward to it as I absolutely love driving.

I had same feeling pal 3 weeks ago when i passed my class 2 or as some say class c i wanted to jump up and down at test centre but kept it calm and went hyper when i got home lol well done I'm happy for you lad

Had my first assessment today in a automatic hgv2.. I was a little bit nervous but I was okay in the end

I had the same issue , I went over 3 single lane hump back bridges on my test....I just went for broke and approached the in the middle of the road and went for it...got no minors for it lol.

@@Deady2012 It's a great feeling isn't it? I didn't get Class 2 work as I have my Class 1 lessons in about 10 days time. No one really understands how much of an achievement it is until they actually go through what you have been through. From the medical, all the way to where you are now is a huge relief with a lot of work and expense thrown in. Really chuffed for you. Looking forward to seeing where this channel of yours goes.

I had my theory/ hazard perception test last week Thursday which I passed👍 next week hopefully I will be starting my practical training...

Hello mate been watching your videos respect respect but today had my theory and failed by 2 marks but some of the questions I saw never seen them before and been driving revising for the past 2 weeks 😳, was wondering if you know the best place to get the disc or the best app for both the theory questions and the case studies .

I’ve wanted to be a wagon driver all my life just couldn’t afford the training. I used to go trunking with my Dad when i was about 10. At a time in my life now where i put other things on hold to be able to actually do it. Thats how i come accross Luke C first. I searched how much a licence costs and his vid come up lol.
@@Deady2012 I was same always in wagon with my dad in summer holidays etc now I've had my class 1 a year getting offered good jobs with great companys eventually good luck and will keep watching see where you end up

@@Deady2012 found it hard at start trying to find my first job that wasn't agency . Dirty jobs are the ones no one wants so will get a start I went with skip company was local and pretty easy. Since they had no way of me gaining class 1 experience I left done agency work for while which wasn't for me . Starting new job with a great company and brand new scania in a couple weeks . Just stick with it learn from mistakes if make any and take any job that is offered and keep yourself right .
Well done! I'm done with theories and mod 2 case studies, just looking for a school with autos and a min of 16hrs 1:1 behind the wheel.

Passed my Class 2 today in camborne, 4th time lucky. 1st fail was wrong lane on a roundabout, 2nd fail was a curb, 3rd test i thought went perfectly but failed because the referee wanted me to indicate around absolutely everything and got 6 minors for 'necessary signalling', managed to stay calm today after rubbing a curb early on, also driving through a monsoon on my least favourite route with all the worst tight technical junctions and was very surprised to hear i had passed.

7.5t driving & DAF LF driving is very similar. The problem is when you then get into a CF or something bigger, you feel like you're driving a whale. It really messes your spacial awareness up.
I'm gonna feel as nervous as you Monday lad!. But after 4 days training, feeling quite confident. Just need to remember the handbrake at every junction, & always give myself enough room at right turns so not clipping curbs. Wish me luck.

@@aaronjones947 Class2. Had 3 days training before test which I think was very inadequate, not just saying that because I failed either. 2 majors - use of speed and following distance. And a load of minors for other shit!. So you've passed all modules now & 3b on Tuesday?

I got my 3a booked in for 1 day 9 hour day and a 4 day driving 4 hours a day and test on the Friday to complete the module 3

Take your time buddy. Never stop looking in your mirrors. It's easy mate, but as humans we panic and get nervous. Don't worry about it if you can. Wait as long as you need, if you don't think you can fit through a gap, don't try it.

Hello ! can you help me please? I just passed my class 2 test and I want start work as Driver labourer on scaffolding company with opportunity become a scaffolder . can I get job with CSCS labourer card or I have to do COTS certificate anyway before I start looking for a job?
You have to do COTS before you can labour as a scaffolder. Most back street firms will take you on with no cards at all though if you are hard working.
You must be mad going into scaffolding though.... lowest paid in construction industry, only lads out in all weathers, spoke to and treated like shit. I'd avoid at all costs me.
I literally don’t know what it takes to pass, I got failed twice by the same fella for literally nothing, I was driving safely throughout the test, he give me 13 minors for 30 minutes driving???? How is that even possible??? Daylight robbery i didn’t touch any kerbs didn’t cause any danger to road users or anything it was perfect on the two occasions, I’m sad to say but there is a corrupt side to getting your license, there is a percentage of people who will just get failed regardless on how you drive,,

Get your hopes up buddy! Remember, you CAN drive.... you are not a learner. The examiner is making sure you can follow procedures & making sure you are safe. That's all. Take your time, relax & enjoy the experience, you'll only do it once :)

I replayed the dashcam footage I recorded from Friday's day out and reviewed the mistakes. If it wasn't for them I'd have passed.
One of the mistakes was putting it in neutral when I pulled up at the side of the road and then failing to put it back in drive to pull off - I rolled backwards.
Positioning vehicle entering an island and cutting into the next lane is another.
Third was cutting-in too quick when negotiating an island and rear wheel mounting kerb on the island.

I got told off by the examiner for waiting a bit too long behind parked cars. That was a year ago I'm finally doing my mod 2/4 this month to get out driving. Cant wait to leave my shite retail job.
Yeah, its a ball ache the parked car thing. To be honest, it is down to luck that part. Some will let you wait until YOU think it's safe, some expect you to push out your shoulders. But then if you pull up a car, you'll fail anyway. Depends which examiner you get and what mood they are in i think haha!

Module 4 is so easy dvsa done my test start to finish in ten minutes it's a walk round check of the vechicle really all common sense

That's how I failed,, driving to close to parked vehicles and oncoming traffic., It didn't do it again though, once bitten twice shy.

You will make 'silly' mistakes mate, everyone does. Don't panic. Remember, you are not a learner driver, you can drive. The examiners not looking particularly if 'You can drive' he's looking if you can follow protocols. Mirror Signal Maneuver etc. Mirrors Mirrors Mirrors. Take your time. Enjoy yourself.

As long as you can drive a car, driving a Class 2 is simple enough. You just have to use Mirrors Mirrors Mirrors & you have to look as far down the road as you can to anticipate where you need to be.

I've got my test on Thursday and now the instructor has sewn a seed in my head that Im 'near' sighted and not observing well enough :( Im not fully of confidence now and no time to find near sighted glasses !!!!
