    3D Ceramic Coating Kit protects your car from the sun’s damaging rays and the resulting oxidization, is highly hydrophobic and keeps your car looking glossy, without the need for constant application. 3D Ceramic Coating Kit is safe to use on clear coats and single stage paint coats. Best part is that 3D Ceramic Coating is done in just a few simple steps, all carefully applied by your own hand and can last for years on your vehicle.
    Ceramic coating your car can be lengthy process, but 3D Ceramic Coating Kit makes it simple. All you need is what comes in the packaging.
    Kit Includes:
    3D Ceramic Coating 30mL
    Applicator Block
    (2) Microsuede Towels
    Directions for Use:
    *Pro-tip: Make sure the surface is completely clean and decontaminated.
    Wrap the 3D Suede Applicator around the 3D foam block and apply enough coating to cover the flat surface of the suede.
    Using a cross hatch pattern (side-to-side and then up-and-down strokes), spreading the coat evenly. Work in sections.
    Weather will determine the size of the section you want to work with. Temperature and humidity can affect how quickly the product dries.
    Apply more product if the suede dries up.
    Wait 30 seconds and buff the product off with a clean soft microfiber towel.
    If the surface feels oily after buffing, wait a few more seconds and wipe off again.

    I like the way he formulates the products without the fillers. That leaves you only those ingredients that WORK.

    Just installed the coating on a customers truck. It’s very thick on the surface after cured and is incredibly glossy. One 30ml did a whole short bed mega cab dodge and the wheels. Extremely easy to use.

    Great video. Very informative. I appreciate the conservative approach to claims but people do want to know if it resist lovemarks/wash swirls (i.e., doe sit increase the hardness of the OEM clearcoat and by how much) and they want an idea how long it will last best case/worst case even. It's all about setting expectations.

    Please enlighten me:
    Will it be better to do a paint correction & prep the paint for ceramic coating with AAT501 & AAT502 given that AAT Line is a Body Shop Safe to ensure better bonding?
    Of course still using 3D Wipe prior to coating.

    • @scottomalley3948
      @scottomalley3948 Před 4 lety

      Not family with AAT501/502 specifically, but I am a Detailer so maybe I can help. "Body Shop Safe" is purely a marketing term, nothing really crazy about that product versus another. All polishes and compounds are going to be an abrasive suspended in some sort of fluid. That fluid is most of the time an oil, which is what the wipe is needed for. I'd tell you to use whatever compound and polish you get the best results out of, and give it a shot. Personally, I use 3M products for paint correction almost exclusively, and don't plan on changing any time soon.

    • @danlc95
      @danlc95 Před 3 lety +1

      AAT, ACA, and ONE are all body shop safe.
      I regularly coat cars after using any of their polishes - ACA520, AAT502, and ONE without any issues. After panel wipe of course.

    I have also heard that a "ceramic coating" is not a true ceramic coating unless it is in a glass bottle I also looked up videos on CZcams for the Sutherland Rub tester and crockmeter method test ...pretty cool!

    Can I use it on headlights?

    • @ChrisSmith-hi5ew
      @ChrisSmith-hi5ew Před 4 lety +2

      Some say yes, some say no. Yes because it can last a while compared to other protections if you properly prep it right. No because it can altered the lights direction. Headlights beam at certain angles. I would say do some research to see what is the right choice for you. Look up PPF (paint protection film) for headlights. This in my opinion is bests. But do your research. Hope this helps.
