It's cheating because while other players will slow down, he kept going strong cuz of the ped help. Understand they play 162 games a year with playoffs and recovery very short. A controlled balanced swing that he used to consistently barrel up the baseball. Lots of players swing so hard trying to hit the 500 ft HRs-don’t need to do that. How many lasers did ARod hit to straightaway center?

Dino A few years after this A Rod was caught for steroids. Then caught for it again a few years later. The hope was A Rod could take the home run title back while doing it clean, turns out he was just as if not more juiced up than Bonds.
Suffice to say public opinion on A Rod went down the toilet and the Yankees had to pay him through 2017 even after releasing him. A Rod simply was not effective in 2016.

I think what people fail to realize is that A: steroids do not help you hit the ball. Yes they make you stronger, yes they help you recover faster, but hand eye coordination....I think not. B: if you think 95% of big leaguers weren’t juicing, including pitchers than you’re naive. In my eyes it was an even playing field. Starting pitchers were averaging 95mph and relief pitchers we coming in throwing triple digits lol 😂. No one could tell me any different. Baseball was the best in the juice era.

It was Alex, Ken Griffy JR., or Barry Bonds from that era who was the best. Bonds was probably the best of the bunch due to his overall skill set. He walked a lot, and stole over 500 bases while playing gold glove outfield. Young Pre 1999 Steroid Barry bonds was still easily an all time great. Just wish he hadn't got so jealous of Sammy and McGuire. His Ego got in the way of his easy HOF case, despite his horrible Diva attitude.
