This moment really is the highlight of Bella’s career. The fact that she thought it was paint & didn’t know that it was going to turn into fabric shows how quickly she had to acclimatise to the situation and yet she did it perfectly. Supermodel of our generation! Thank you for the documentary ❤️
Very excellent point. Her ability to “pivot” (sorry, couldn’t resist) should be part of a masterclass of being a runway model.
This BtS video is fabulous. I have a lot of questions about the dress itself. Where is it now? Can it be cleaned or washed or exposed to water, without disintegrating? In my mind, this type of dress making could take couture foundational garments into a new arena for customers with non-model-esq body shapes, sizes, and measurements. If the cellulose material can have different colors, it would be amazing to see a balayage effect in a dress. Imagine 100 years from now, when having a computer “replicator” print your clothing for the day and, at the end of the day, the worn material is recycled into new cellulose for the next outfit. Of course, I am very inspired by Star Trek and this cellulose spray might be a way to recycle clothing, if it can be deconstructed and recycled.

This moment i already iconic and the coolest thing Bella has ever had the chance to do on a catwalk. I knew she had that Model of the Year sewn up the moment I saw this. Also the pure joy backstage after they pulled it off was so amazing to see
to be in this room for this show..✨ that opening with everyone waiting outside the building is everything, chills, because little did they know they were about to walk into one of this generation’s most iconic top model moments in runway history
