It might not have been seen by many but it was personally one of my favorite episodes... Love that album and when you hinted at it in the Alvvays video I jumped out of my chair and was giddy all week in anticipation. Since I’m a little older, I’ve gotten cynical, but I am completely captivated by your enthusiasm for these pieces of art. You have such a youthful passion and appreciation and reverence for the albums, which reminds me of how I felt upon discovering Pet Sounds, Blonde on Blonde, Court of the Crimson King, and so many others. Seeing your zeal for these albums awakens the feelings I had, so I feel am hearing these albums that I’ve heard so many times with new ears. Its lead to a great rediscovery of so many records. I watch all your videos, whether I am familiar with the album or not. Shame that isnt the norm as I think the more obscure the more interesting a video you can get. What people want and what people need are rarely the same! Having said that, I hope you can risk a Tim Buckley vid, as everyone should know him!

Souvlaki being one of the less-viewed episodes is a travesty to me! Same with the Black Midi video too. I must be one of the very few viewers of yours who is more of an alt rock guy than a classic rock guy, but I will always let you know that I love love LOVE it whenever you talk about albums from the 90's and beyond - the Souvlaki video and the Siamese Dream video are probably my two favourite videos of yours (not counting the MC5 video), and I was over the moon to see your recent Sonic Youth acquisitions on your Instagram! this had such velocity! 2023 was the year i went through vinyl monday's back catalogue: from blind faith backwards and i just finished yesterday, so I had to scramble back for this ( this requires velocity too). best thumbnail this year abbey road game changer vid for me souvlaki most thought provoking maybe unknown pleasures, best devoism sometimes i think i listen to so much music that i don't have time to listen to music. we are not day trippers, we're here for the longer journey if you can put up with us. i'm full of admiration and appreciation of your achievement abby. hey got a feeling 24 is going to be a be a good year. have a good one.

He'd seen the silver shrink sticker from the slowdive self titled that I have on my phone case. Sorry to hear you were sick over the holidays (Laura and I were, too, and still are.) Congratulations on another year of what has become one of my handful of must-see channels -- and yes, I watched all the mod month videos and listened to the albums, even though my interest in modern rock mostly evaporated when grunge appeared. You even inspired me to revive our Hollywood Hi-Fi videos we started in 2007, long before there was such a thing as a "vinyl community." We've only posted one, but more will be coming. I hope you get around to more Who and some Kinks (my favorite bands), both of whom I consider to be far above the Stones (I'm a libertarian, but I would back an international law banning Mick Jagger from ever attempting to sing country music.) But whatever you choose is fine, because I know that even if it's something I don't particularly care for, you will make it funny, charming, entertaining and educational. BTW, my resolution for 2024 is to finally find that album in my garage that I promised to send you months ago. Happy New Year!

Shoot, ANY Monkees album for that matter. Next, some Byrds--maybe the 5th Dimension album, some Buffalo Springfield, Association, Guess Who, Grateful Dead, some Santana, or some Stevie Wonder perhaps? And I know you said you wouldn't, but how about finally doing some jazz album reviews? I think now you could tackle the intricacies of it!

Been quite a year! This video made me think about how the avatars influenced the view count for your videos,, especially for Houses of the Holy, because you absolutely nailed Robert Plants hairdo on that one.
I also have both those albums. Arctic Monkeys & Lana Del Rey. Sadly however, mine are both on CD. I am always happy with what albums you decide to feature each week but since you are taking a poll, how about some of the alternative bands of the 70s-80s? Speaking of polls, based on your opening to this video, you aught to ask everyone what their first album purchase was. I’ll start. My first album purchase was Elton John’s Greatest hits on 8-Track tape when it first released. I didn’t know it at the time growing up in Bozeman Montana in 1974 but my Gibson’s Discount Center actually sold me the British Import with a green colored shell on the DJM label. Here in the states Elton John was on the MCA label. What was cool about the British configuration is that it has the superior song “Candle In The Wind” instead of a song I still can’t stand. “Benny And The Jets” which is on the American configuration. Souvlaki being one of the less-viewed episodes is a travesty to me! Same with the Black Midi video too. I must be one of the very few viewers of yours who is more of an alt rock guy than a classic rock guy, but I will always let you know that I love love LOVE it whenever you talk about albums from the 90's and beyond - the Souvlaki video and the Siamese Dream video are probably my two favourite videos of yours (not counting the MC5 video), and I was over the moon to see your recent Sonic Youth acquisitions on your Instagram! Pleaaaase consider doing a Sonic Youth vinyl Monday at some point - even if the rest of your audience may not give it much attention, I certainly will! ❤

this had such velocity! 2023 was the year i went through vinyl monday's back catalogue: from blind faith backwards and i just finished yesterday, so I had to scramble back for this ( this requires velocity too). best thumbnail this year abbey road game changer vid for me souvlaki most thought provoking maybe unknown pleasures, best devoism sometimes i think i listen to so much music that i don't have time to listen to music.
we are not day trippers, we're here for the longer journey if you can put up with us.

I actually was first made aware of your channel when Rachel from Slowdive shared your short version of the Souvlaki review! Souvlaki is probably my favorite album of all time! Anyways, I enjoyed the long version of the review and I've been a fan of the channel ever since.

He'd seen the silver shrink sticker from the slowdive self titled that I have on my phone case. Sorry to hear you were sick over the holidays (Laura and I were, too, and still are.) Congratulations on another year of what has become one of my handful of must-see channels -- and yes, I watched all the mod month videos and listened to the albums, even though my interest in modern rock mostly evaporated when grunge appeared. You even inspired me to revive our Hollywood Hi-Fi videos we started in 2007, long before there was such a thing as a "vinyl community." We've only posted one, but more will be coming.
I hope you get around to more Who and some Kinks (my favorite bands), both of whom I consider to be far above the Stones (I'm a libertarian, but I would back an international law banning Mick Jagger from ever attempting to sing country music.) But whatever you choose is fine, because I know that even if it's something I don't particularly care for, you will make it funny, charming, entertaining and educational.
BTW, my resolution for 2024 is to finally find that album in my garage that I promised to send you months ago. Happy New Year!

Shoot, ANY Monkees album for that matter. Next, some Byrds--maybe the 5th Dimension album, some Buffalo Springfield, Association, Guess Who, Grateful Dead, some Santana, or some Stevie Wonder perhaps? And I know you said you wouldn't, but how about finally doing some jazz album reviews? I think now you could tackle the intricacies of it!

Speaking of polls, based on your opening to this video, you aught to ask everyone what their first album purchase was. I’ll start. My first album purchase was Elton John’s Greatest hits on 8-Track tape when it first released. I didn’t know it at the time growing up in Bozeman Montana in 1974 but my Gibson’s Discount Center actually sold me the British Import with a green colored shell on the DJM label. Here in the states Elton John was on the MCA label. What was cool about the British configuration is that it has the superior song “Candle In The Wind” instead of a song I still can’t stand. “Benny And The Jets” which is on the American configuration.
