You know I wasn't that interested in the style of the Urban kit from the image but these actually look really cool. Honestly cake stand and the drink fountain thing should have been interactive. I do have parties for a few of my legacy challenges for birthdays but I don't know if I want to spend 5 bucks for something I might use on occasion.
I really love how reviews can truly change a person’s impression.

I love BOTH of the new kits! My sims party all the time and I love to have some new stuff for them.

I wanted the drink dispenser to be functional so bad. I use the tea/drink sets so often. I also want a small bar that isn't the globe bar that will fit well in different styles of homes.
The fog machine, from what I have seen in other videos does emit fog when turned on. DrGluon had an issue with it, but found when stopped emitting fog, just turning off the light and turning it back on did the trick.
I do like the idea of the office kit and the bathroom kit. I was thinking that they could create a bathroom kit with a toilet, shower, tub, shower/tub, two sinks (1 pedestal and 1 counter top sink), bathroom shelving unit (1 cluttered and 1 uncluttered), bathroom counters. Without a kit like this, trying to do a kits only house without using base game is hard, because your sims wouldn’t have a toilet. The office kit would go great with the book nook kit, and to get another laptop would be nice, since the base game one needs to be unlocked, and the only other one I know of is in Strangerville, which I can’t have at this time.
I think this is the first CAS kit that I definitley like🥲

I love the CAS kit, very nice reminds of stuff I’ve grown up around. I grew up in many urban areas, in Las Vegas. We moved a lot. I just want the disco ball, fairy led and backlit tv In the party kit.
I bought the Urban Homage kit just because I just wanted that beautiful butterfly top.
I have to admit I like the two kits that was released for this month.
The party essentials kit its underwhelming, didn't we have party themed packs already, the street carnival kit, get together, high school years and luxury party stuff pack.
The balloon is a good welcome to the game, but the way it's designed it was wrapped in little led lights. In real life that would be awkward, since the led light emit heat and the air in the balloon heat up and caused the balloon to get bigger and pop. The Fog machine is the best, at least it function, unlike the drink fountain maybe they ran out of time to code the animation.
The Urban Homage kit is a good one, the Millennials favourite style and younger Gen X like me. Those were popular concept in the late 1990's and early 2000's. The 2000's was the last time when life was good ( expect 2004 and 2006 ) .
I want a new TRAITS kit or new CAREERS kit. I need personality and variety. My sims seem so samey.

I got UH, because I neeeeeded that head wrap. And honestly I was pleasantly surprised! As for PE, I can’t have that hideous yogurt drink looking thing that doesn’t even function in my game. No no no. Lol

My sims don’t party thaaaat much, but the party kit is actually interesting to me? there are a lot of animations, and handy little things that we didn’t already have in the game. Definitely a lot of stuff that could have been sprinkled in different packs instead, but I’m actually pleasantly surprised with the content here.
I am of an opposite opinion than you. Urban Hamage is not something I'd use much, maybe because most of my Sims are males and male part of this kit is, once again, quite lacking. On top of that, I am sad they did not include any hairstyles. Ebonix has quite a lot of great hairstyles (actually, most of what I have from her are hairstyles) and seeing not even a single one in her kit is very disappointing for me.
I am not much of a builder and build/buy kits are usually going beyond me, but this one got me interested for that invisible dance floor (though I wish there were bigger options too), that backlit TV and the disco ball (though I wish it was more interactive). Those are enough for me and that stereo and food stand (though I wish they'll fix the possibility to use it for birthday and wedding cakes) are nice bonuses too, so, I don't really regret buying that one.
But, of course, that's just my opinion and I respect yours.
PE is interesting kit it does not look boring but I'd add more objects to that - loveseats, armchairs, dinette, barstools, new minimalistic karaoke machine -why not?
I cannot see drinking fountain on the video - did you show that?

The drinking fountain is on the left side of the table when I do the wide shot of all the items in the kit. It’s also seen when my sims are grabbing the cake near the end
Utter bs the drink dispenser should have reused the tray drink animation and the cake stand should be a counter for that kind of money reuse functionality!
Why is it that since ea has FORCED mac users to switch to their sh*ty app, I haven't been able to download the pack? I've never had this with Origin😩 all I want is to add head wraps and hoops to my sims 😭
…I haven’t been forced yet? There was a “EA App coming soon” message for a while, then the last time Origin updated it just… disappeared. No time to switch, no coming soon, just continue using Origin 🤷🏼♀️
@@bookcat123 maybe you're in a different region, because in Canada there's no way around it. I uninstalled the ea app, turned on my vpn to UK, and downloaded origin again, and no switch to ea app pop up that isn't exitable. So I'm gonna be using my vpn from now on so I can continue with Origin
