@@Damster587 Well, in complete respect to how good they were, Dodgers destroyed this year. 111 wins, amazing defense and offense, they were the team all year. Jokes and opinions aside, Padres and Dodgers are *technically* rivals, despite some people not believing it so. This was the Padres first trip to the Post Season in a full season since 2006, and thanks to their efforts it was the first time (also since 2006) where they played a playoff game in Petco Park.
What made this so awesome (for Padres fans at least) was that we were up 2-1 in the series, meaning we faced an advancing game while the Dodgers faced elimination. Throughout the beginning and middle portions of game 4, it didn't feel like it was going the Padres way. Dodgers had our number, superb defense, timely offense, good awareness, it just wasn't our night it felt like. This was bad for us, since, if a game 5 happened, it would be in Dodger Stadium, away from the fanbase, and away from home field advantage.
Enter bottom of the 7th. Down 3-0. Profar gets walked, and Grisham gets a single, making it first and third, no outs. Nola comes up, infield base hit, 3-1 now. Okay, still need 2 more runs. Enter Ha Seong Kim, the dude who's been covering for Tatis all year because of injuries, delays, and a failed drug test followed by a big time suspension. Comes up, and gets a double, makes it 3-2. Now enter, Juan Soto. Was traded for at the trade deadline, and is considered one of the best hitters, so well that he's considered like a second coming of Ted Williams. Unfortunately with high expectations, when failures happened they become magnified. Not to say he didn't fail spectacularly or anything, but the underperformance was felt. Not tonight though. A timely hit from him tied the game 3-3. After a stolen base, Cronenworth comes up, and down to their final strike in the inning, loops a single up the middle and makes it 5-3.
We bring in our new closer, who throws a near immaculate inning besides one ball, and the Padres advance to the NLCS for the first time since 1998. Truly an amazing time to be a Padres fan.
I been a Padres fan all my life I just to see the Padres win a World Series in my life time and to see the San Diego go crazy!!

And especially since the chargers left to LA, the padres are the last team we have, and we havent had a chance for like 15 or so years from early 2000s until a couple years ago when we finally became competitive. We deserve it! And after seeing what we have done so far, anything is possible. GO PADRES #TheCroneZone

You finally uploaded this highlight and thank you! Simply amazing. Padres; slaying one hundred plus winning team in the post season. MLB highlights definitely need to take lessons from your channel; not showing who won the game in the thumbnail, presenting highlights in most of the innings, and most of all, high lights that's 19 minutes long rather than 8 minutes. Amazing.
Husband and I were there and went at the spur of the moment. Amazing 7th inning. The power of the goose was there with the Padres till the end. Will never forget this night. Go Padres!

Wow! When we came back from 0-2 vs the cubs at jack murphy baby!! (Only to lose to Detroit tho, but they were good) both of SDs world series appearances we faced better teams, but in 1984 we had a good chance. In 1998, we didnt have a shot at all against those damn yankees, but tony gwynn, whose been in both world series, went beast mode against NY. I Hope we can finally mame it happen! We san diego fans deserve it

What I enjoy seeing all the Padres fans in the stands at a home game most of the time it’s flooded with Dodger fans who drive down from LA .but not last night petco park was packed with Padres fans I think the Dodgers were intimidated by that for once.GO PADRES! Keep the faith

watched this game with my dad, man, oh man, to only be there at the stadium, after hader struck out freeman the house erupted with years of pain that the dodgers gave us and to finally one up them was truly the best moment for me and my dad to celebrate together
We watched this in camp and oh my how sweet it was to beat these clowns. Only 4 of us padre fans and 50 dodgers fans

I left SD in the early 90's to go see the world. I spent a couple of decodes moving from place to place, city to city, nation to nation until I was finally able to come home...
I arrived back in SD on the night of Game Four and sat in my new, completely empty house watching this gamenon my cell phone. When we won, the entire city erupted around me and I cried because I was, after all those years, finally home. I am home. 💙⚾🙂

Dave Roberts basically guaranteed on the Dan Patrick show that the Dodgers will win the 2022 World Series. And instead they choked. Maybe he's learned his lesson about keeping quiet regarding making predictions. Roberts has made several managerial blunders over the past few seasons. Not a Dave Roberts fan. Even though the Dodgers basically shut down and were flat out-played.
With 111 wins and 14-5 in the regular season against San Diego this Dodger team was built to win it all this year and will likely lose Trae Turner in the off-season.
10 straight postseasons and only one World Series title during that that period something definitely needs to change.

Everyone keeps saying the Dodgers were built to win in the playoffs they don't win in the playoffs you have to have the best pitchers that can go 789 innings like Gerrett Cole did tonight for the Yankees seven and a third and give up two runs Dodgers did not have none of that in the playoffs and haven't had Kershaw for instance has given up seven runs to the Cardinals twice in one inning when the Yankees won around the late 90s and 2000s they had 3 aces plus Riviera in the bullpen!
