I like the tip on using a star pattern. I’ve installed them before and they walk a little bit and misalign the holes when I’m attaching it.

How do you access the ducting to clean it if you seal the vent to the wall? Do you have to basically uninstall and reinstall the vent every time you want to clean the line?

    Very informative video thanks
My vent seems to lead to the brick outer wall at a 90 degree angle. Any tips on how to replace the 4” piping that’s at an angle? All the videos I’ve seen are straight shots which makes the installation easier. Not sure why my builder decided to go at an angle

You can buy just the dryer vent exhaust cover without the ductwork attached. It will take a little prying with a flat head screwdriver but they are designed to pop off without removing the metal ductwork. The cover by itself is about $7.

    Great video. Thumbs up
Something I would have liked to see is how you would have cleaned the new air duct after installation and on the new air duct, can't rodents get in through the outside with the opening of that outlet? So maybe a view of the outlet how that looks compared to the old one

I cleaned the ductwork inside the home before installing the new vent, used the same brush attachment. The new vent has a spring loaded door that opens when the dryer is being used. Then it shuts when the dryer is done. The vent’s door has a foam pad that seals tight to prevent any insects or rodents from entering the ductwork

Drilling tapcons gets dusty to you lmfao. Try installing a 3/4” shot into a ceiling to drop your plumbing hangers… now that’s fun
