Why cannot this be used with a gas dryer?
Might want to fix the electrical strain connector on the dryer, the connector goes over the outer jacket of the cord, not the individual wires.
Saw that right away. Good call
HA! First thing too.
First thing I caught too.
Yeah, that speaks to the value of THIS channel. I'm OUTTA' HERE!!!!
As an electrician that was one hell of a trigger
While you’re at it you better repair that dryer cable that’s hanging out of the connector on the back of the dryer. The inner conductors are exposed. (1:03)😊
Improperly attached strain relief, 👍
It’s actually the insulative sheathing for the inner wires that’s exposed, but those shouldn’t be, either.
I like the magnet idea. I had this situation with my dryer and I moved the vent opening on the dryer to the side of the dryer instead of the back. Was super easy to do on my unit.
Just installed the MagVent 90. Thanks for the great video. I'm extremely pleased with the new look!
The even and detailed explanation is greatly appreciated. Your videos are very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽 I’m glad I could be of help!
*Fake praise account..*
Freaking brilliant! Thank you for sharing!!
I used this connector in my recent laundry renovation. Certainly not cheap but it is easy to install, works really well and will minimize lint buildup.
A great product!!
These are great! Very useful. Keep in mind, though.... HD dryers have a sensor telling the machine if the air flow is slow in exiting. This will cause the temp to go down as a precaution. I got a new house with an HD. I put one of these vents on the back, as with all of my previous dryers. Eventually I noticed that the dryer wasn't getting very hot. Finally, after taking 2 hours to dry a load of towels.... I called a repairman. he told me that there is an air flow sensor in most HD units. Mine sensed a slower flow due to the sharp turn, and automatically lowered the temp. He put a normal vent tube on it and I had my hot air back! it is not a danger with the air flow, while using the unit shown in the video. It's the high tech idiots who have to add all the BS on the new appliances. So if your temp goes down a bit after installing one, take it off, put a normal one on (with dryer pulled away from wall) and see if there's a difference... before calling a $100/visit from repairman.
I put one of these in a couple of years ago - it's great!
Been looking for a solution for years. Thanks
That product is absolutely awesome!
Good video. Great product. Thanks for sharing.
It looks awesome. Great job!!
Wonderful wonderful wonderful thank you
That's👍 a great update on dryer hose
Looks good. Thanks for sharing.
Great info, well presented!
Nice job. Thanks for posting
Dude are you fricking kidding me...that is sooooo slick and I want one !!!! Mine looks pretty much like the before picture and it has always made me a little uncomfortable....not only from a safety perspective but how it looks too. I had no idea they made these things. Already have it in my shopping list. Excellent installation video too brother. Well done !!!
ITs a code violation in the majority of states.
@@benburnett8109 I don't see why at all. Having the hose all bent and coiled around is a lot more unsafe. Still getting one. It's in my wish list already.
@Alan_Edwards awesome just make sure it is code compliant in your area.
@@benburnett8109 I would not even know how to go about doing that TBH. I'll never be selling this house so I can take my chances.
Looks awesome thanks for the tip.
This was another good video. I’m not sure if this is the solution to my problem, but am definitely going to do some measuring. Thanks again!
Hooked it up. Didn't even know it existed before I saw your video, so thank you. My bunched up hose was getting clogged up constantly and burned out my heater coil. Hopefully this will put an end to that!
congrats, you installed a code violation. And the radical 90deg bends will retain heat and pose a fire risk. Do research. Don't burn you house down.
Great video! Very helpful! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching my friend! 🙏🏽😊
Thank you for sharing. Love it.
Definitely going to buy this one
Great video! I'm definitely upgrading my inside and external vents!
Why?
This is not a upgrade actually, the initial 90 degree turn this thing makes is horrible and restricts air flow.
More clean up for you and you buying a new dryer more frequently.
Just because something "looks good" doesn't make it good.
Excellent video thanks
I used this setup a few years ago, works great.
Good to know about. In my current situation, the traditional vent hose still works best.
I love it. I installed MV-180. Looks great and easy to clean.
that initial 90 degree turn it makes will need you to clean it out about every 6 months.
But hey at least it "looks good" behind a dryer........................
Wow, that is really nice and clean. I can't wait to upgrade my dryers vent holes. Thanks for sharing. Love your page.
Family, it looks good.
Looks great!
Got one of thees Magvents and I love it.
LOOKING VERY GOOD AMIGO
Brilliant configuration brilliantly explained. Thank you.
That looks great
Great video, I do believe I will invest in one of these!
Nice upgrade. Also the snake of extra tubing has a habbit of slowing down the exhaust and collecting a whole bunch of lint. Then you start noticing that the clothes take a lot longer to dry burning up electricity. This is what I experienced with my setup. I will do this upgrade in the near future.
That's friggen cool!!
Great idea.
Excellent video !!
That was a great job, explained perfectly clearly! And boy does it look better! Thanks!
Awesome i love the new mv180 and the mv90
Both are awesome! 👍🏽😊🙏🏽
Looks good!
Are these also available for Gas dryers?
Thanks 😊
Thank you for this video!
Thank you for the love and support! 🙏🏽😊
Nice product, clean install. I will try one next time I need to pull my dryer
Thank you so much!
Excellent, sold, thanks. Been wanting to upgrade this.
Thank you my friend! Glad I could be of help! 🙏🏽😊
@@FixThisHouse YOu are aware that you are selling a device that is a code violation in 95% of homes and apartments??
Great video.
Thanks for introducing me to this product. I rent and install my own laundry units, so this is something I will consider, particularly when my appliances are in tight spaces to ensure exhaust vents are tight.
Nice idea
Eres un artista maestro !!
That’s slick I like
Nice product, great description and expert installation.
Thank you very much! 🙏🏽😊
I"ve been using magvent for a few years. I have it on two dryers. It works GREAT!!!
XD so does my old metal hose.
I put it on 7 years ago and never had to touch it once.
Very nice 👍
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Nice job
I like the idea of this dryer connection. I, myself would try to eliminate the flex hose because it looks like it makes the dryer stick farther out from the wall by about 4-5".
Great videos can you use this to go straight down through the floor?
That's very cool.
We're about to build a house, this is definitely going in, great video, thanks.
I the same way! Glad I could be of help! 🙏🏽😊
They look nice and that magnetic attachment looks like a great idea however the 90 degree redirect is an airflow obstruction. You will be needing to clean that out more than usual. Ascetically it's beautiful however mechanically it's not as functional.
good job 👍
Love your channel but the one on my dryer goes though the floor. Is there one that works for the floor. Thanks!
very interesting
it looks like a good replacement for that flex vent. I went one better. when I redid the siding on my house, I installed my vent so I could fit the fitting on the dryer directly into the exterior vent.
Very nice job
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽😊
Good stuff.
Awesome 👏
Thanks good job sir👍🏻
Thank you for watching 🙏🏽😊
Good video bro, keep them coming.
Thank you so much!
this product really looked good
Thank you! It does look good! 👍🏽😊
Its behind the dryer? Nobody see's it?
Man you’re videos are the best! Keep up the great work. Your videos are so informative and easy to follow. I’m sure I can speak on behalf of your followers, thank you! Keep up the excellent work.
Thank you so much for all the love and support! 🙏🏽😊
YOUR videos. NOT you’re!!!!
? @traybern Irregardless of the commenters fo paw, do you think you're comment is going to correct there behavior???? Their, I put as many question marks as you did exclamation points. Have a good day! And @Fixthis House, great video!!
*Fake praise comment.. So obvious. Stop kissing your own ass..*

I like the system and your video made it look simple. One thing I would do differently is I would not tape the duct to the exterior wall section so that I could easily disassemble the duct for cleaning.
Thank you. I need to do something because what I have right now is not working. I have a lot of hose because I have to get enough hose so when I pull out the dryer I need extra long hose.
I just installed one of these. The connection was only $50. Best, cleanest dryer installation Ive ever done. 👍.
The plus is that you’re a lot more likely to clean the vent if it comes off that easy. My vent is taped onto my dryer and I hate taking it apart to clean it. Those damn inserts never line up.
I need to do the same!!!
Flows so much too
What do you recommend for a stack-able washer / dryer combo with the dryer on top?
Nice job ! Great video, thanks for posting.
Can you use this product when the dryer outlet is above the dryer. Or is there a product for a different set up? Thank you 🙏🏾
FTH.....good job..... but will the magnetic coupling hold a seal in all condition ? Doesn't magnetic add to the static charge that can and does accumulate? Very generous thanks for sharing
Looks good
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Thank you so much for posting this. I had no idea magnetic ducts existed. I will soon be installing a tall LG laundry tower into a closet space that has very little room on the sides and above. I was struggling with how I will be able to connect the duct. I will definitely use this method and will use your affiliate links to buy them. Thanks again!
I installed one of these last year and it made installation soooooo easy! Cleaning is now super simple, too. Well worth every penny.
Lol
How long will the magnets last; clamps last a long long time. Clamps you show are awesome and I just ordered some.
What do you suggest for dryer exhausts that go up through the attic and roof? Old 1995 house and trying to find an economical way to fix my dryer venting setup. I don't think this magvent would work in my case?
Super clean install. Thank you. Subscribed.
Thank you. I didn’t even know these existed.
This is a great idea and I'll probably get one of these. But I do want to mention that whoever owned that dryer was not doing annual duct cleaning because that was a whole lot more than a Year's worth of Lent and that ductwork and the way they ran it, it was just a fire waiting to happen. That new vent system you installed will also make it extremely easy to clean it using the cleaning kits that are available to clean with the dryer in place.
I'm about to do something similar. To minimize the gap between dryer and the wall, can I cut in to the drywall?
Great Product. Nice install job , You left one step out , you should of clean and caulk around where the vent stubs out from wall , 5 min fix , make it look professional !
Looks great! also, it should be must safer with no kinks to build up dryer lint…thank you!😊
Thank you! I’m glad I could be of help! 🙏🏽😊
I can’t see behind my dryer to worry about how nice and clean it looks but looks like a good alternative if you think it’s worth the cost.
I like it will greatly help in the service of your dryer if needed. As a service tech awesome.
IF you were a real service tech you would know that these create a code violation in 90% of the places they are installed.
@@benburnett8109 not a code violation in my area. And yes I’m a REAL SERVICE TECH smart ass.
It's a work of art! Great video.
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽😊
*Fake praise comment as usual.*
@LunarTikOfficial what do you mean? I truly enjoyed watching the video and believe it was informative.
Looks much better with the MV. The dryer vent is a point of ingress for rats and mice. I would recommend a bead of silicon around the vent where it meets the wall. And (as you said) a screen or vent cover on the outside ,
Th an you so much for the advice my friend 🙏🏽😊
