In this video I will be taking an Ecto-1 and Mad Maxing it out.

What if you bought a mad max car and restore it back to normal? That would be hilarious
I second that
Yeah that be cool
Yeah....I agree!
An Anti-max Build!
That's a good idea
I've actually had the pleasure of seeing a ratrod Cadillac ambulance done up like the ecto-1 it was amazing. You my good man have just taken it to a new and much better level.
Just back from a night at the pub. Lovely video to which to come home.
Looking great mate, those cracks in the window are awesome.
This is coming out fantastic! I can't wait for the finish!
Oh please do the delorean. I've always wanted to see a mad max version of the delorean from bttf
I've send Matchbox Garage a DeLorean from my personal collection to have some post-apocalyptic fun with.
Yeah I, with you with that bro
That was an amazing thing you did for Marty, he is now at 100k subscribers, I take my hat off to you sir . And this model turned out awesome as well.
The thing in the middle is for a pull back motor, they must have planned a pull back version of that toy.
It looks brilliant so far, looking forward to part 2!
Already a subscriber to Marty's channel so can't help there.
I'm so excited for this series!!! It's awesome :3
As a guy that also wants to make a mad max model, this was a huge help! Thanks so much!
the middle "ghost container"is for the pullback system so it has room for the gears
Awesome build, as always!
Kudos on supporting a fellow You Tuber!! And kudos for another great video.
It's golden content like this that makes me still use CZcams.
I look forward to every upload.
Also this is the best crossover since Flintstones meet the Jetsons and a better love-story than Twilight
Wow! As much as I regard this being done to Ecto 1 as blasphemous I really like what you have done. You have an impressive array of skills and your work is stunning.
Pretty cool! I would like to see if one can be transformed from an Ecto 1 to an actual 1959 combination car that the original one was shown as being in the movie or as an actual full hearse complete with vinyl roof and Landau bars looking like it it just rolled off the Miller-Meteor assembly line in Piqua Ohio back in the 1950s
For busting ghosts, and raider outposts!
It looks great ! The rust is perfect and it really looks like it has been thoroughly abused. I am looking forward to part 2. I agree about Marty's Matchbox Makeovers. I have been subscribed to him and you for some time now. Marty has some great content and I learn a lot from from both channels.
I don't think light bars would survive well in the Mad Max universe as they are made from plastic. Maybe those should be partially broken?
good point...
@@baremetalHW You could take a small exacto-knife and cut parts out to make the blue light-covers look smashed up or shot out. make slashes and cuts here and there and then re-weather them
or replaced with some fog lights
3D print some broken lightbars ;)
Yeah, these are technically known as linear gyrophare arrays.
As a child of the 80s and a Ghostbusters fan, I approve of this video! 😍
Anyone still waiting for part 3 on his #5 madmax vehicle?
I am
Yep, me right here
I sure am... wish he would get off his *** and do it!
When will that happen
Love the work though, always great to watch
Great build so far! Thanks for promoting Marty's channel, too~ You guys both rock!
just an idea but I think you should make a mechanic's garage diorama to showcase the cars in, like the ones from the 60s with all the bright signs and oily tools lying everywhere. it would look incredible but I presume would be heaps of work.
Looking great so far! Looking forward to Part 2.
Absolutely love these mad max videos, great job!
I think a vehicle this rusted would have perforated body panels. Do some driling through with the dremel. Some ectoplasm splattered across the bonnet as well.
Interesting take on a MadMaxification. I do like how you layer your colors, and where this one in concerned the interior details were really good. I don't mind 2-parters, by the way. While I'm at it, good on ye for giving your bump to Marty. Between you and Marty and DCR there's a lot of top-notch content out there, and it's nice to see you guys support each other. You're a mensch.
Might be fun to see something more on the front in. Bumper damaged or dragging. Maybe completely replaced by something fabricated and welded on.
All the headlights being intact seems unrealistic.
Love this mod!
Excellent job - looking forward to part 2
Mad Max version of the Mystery Machine would rock.....😋
He'd probably just stick a giant engine in the back
This is a very interesting concept lookin foward to pt. 2
Great work as always and I look forward to part 2🔥🔥🔥
I love your mad max videos, I have actually started customizing since watching your videos, keep up the good work :)
Oh my god here I thought we'd never figure out what happened to that old custom.
Nice work! I'm already a MMM fan. Thanks for sharing!
exactly what I was gonna say "DeLorean" XD interested to see a whole range of them :)
There's probably a cut-off point though. The Batmobile for instance will probably ruin the suspension of disbelief.
Perhaps something like the General Lee, the Bluesmobile, Herbie, A-team van, Christine. KITT might be over stretching the idea? Though it might be fun imagining what whould happen to a computer personality if it were damaged/abandoned for some time.
I'd love to see Christine or General Lee as a mad Max car, that would be so cool
I actually did the Batmobile some time ago... I forgot to mention it...

your other ideas are great!!
Cool build. You should look into using the technique of drybrushing to add the bright rust colour. Look up the citadel drybrush colour called ryza rust. Drybrushing gives a much better effect than sponging the highlights on. It works brilliantly after washes.
Something I didn't even know I wanted. This is perfect. ♥️
Add bat wings to the wheels. And a whole dragon to the hood. And a working ghost containment unit.
But seriously the thumbnail of this video looks pretty fine already. I only would like to see some armor and grids.
And so as you are showing this 10:20 I really wanna see the last/next part of that custom. It looks amazing so far.
So far so good, though I think a huge spiky ram bar on the front along with a very exaggerated stance would be cool on this already cool car!
Nice. Maybe break some of the ladder rungs. And make the pipes and tubes look like they've been patched/repaired.
Totally awesome custom work here. Your skill is amazing!
I have been waiting for a mad Max video forever!
Loved the end result!
excited to see this build!
oo, mad max build! Can't wait to see this later today :)
The resolution on those chain guns is impressive.
Ooo havent seen a mad max vid in a while
Always love your videos !! :-)
These kinds of models usually have pullback motors, so that lump molded in the interior was to make space for the would-be pullback motor. A little cleared area can be seen also on the base to make room for the motor. I don't know why one wasn't put in this one.
Wow, I really like this. It is really very inspiring to watch your videos.
I agree with others that the lightbar needs some damage. Two things the gill needs to be beefed up and either guns on the hood or guns on the wings facing backward. Great videos all together. Keep up the great work.
I’ll admit I was concerned how the car would look after the dremel. But I am presently surprised at how well it looks. Can’t wait to see the final results.👍🏼👍🏼
Wow! Great work!
You're back with another video, and it's a 2 parter. I like. Lol
A very well done I'm a new subscriber I can't wait for the next video
Excellent transformation...
Amazing work!!
Great work! Looks amazing! Is there a way to send you pictures or videos of builds? Thank you for your great teaching videos.
Beautiful job, can’t wait to see the second part, that thumbnail looks amazing also was curious you do a lot of restorations, Redline restorations do you have room for another restoration? please let me know, you do excellent work
It's coming together, very Cool looking Sir
Would love to see a deathrace/madmax car hauling semi truck dude !
I feel like this would looks excellent with some old metal gas canisters and a small roof hatch to allow the passengers easy access to the weaponry you’ve placed on top. Also, maybe one of the head lights could also be removed or be made to appear destroyed to simulate past attacks that have been to the front of the car. Another idea would be to have a gasser style intake visible through a rectangular cut in the top of the hood, but that may prove difficult to pull off convincingly without actually putting a whole motor up there. But that’s all I’ve got!
3rd. Lol. Holy mother of Slimer. Solid work as always. Those 3D prints are turning out better and better. Learning some great skills there friend.
Thanks for continue doing this.
Alternatively, I would personally love to see a mad max car with salvaged parts. Maybe a hood that's slightly too big and held down with chains, a door that's a different color, some angle grinder marks done with a dremel, etc
Honestly, I would like to see more vids like this. It's useful for ideas for the tabletop game Gaslands
To specify, the game uses modified Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars
Yesss another mad max episode
Other guys may do better paint, but you are far and away the best die-cast modeler on CZcams.
Good stuff keep up the good work
Awesome build.
I love your Mad Max series
I was thinking the accessories on the roof looks grungy but otherwise immaculate with no damage or dings. Compared to the extensive damage to the body I think it stands out. Maybe create some abuse marks to it too...
Nice job overall!
Awesome work, maybe add some aged white walls? I think that would look cool in the wasteland setting.
Nice job. I'd love to see a Mad Max version of the 1966 BATMOBILE, perhaps one if these larger scale models. Thanks!
Your wish is my command....
czcams.com/video/5Ol2C-pTYiM/video.html
The Queens Coronation coach (with horses) would be an amazing Mad Max conversion. You could replace the horses with motorbikes!
The Queen could be having a fight with Trump on the roof!
Make it happen!
Ive waited for a new mad max build for sooooo looooong
Personally I think it needs a bit of white back in it .. maybe a spray painted logo on the hood? Or a skeleton/bones? ... Or alternatively something in silver? Like a metal ghost logo on the front ... Regardless I love it so far!
Heck ya a back to the future mad max
It should be lifted and get larger wheels and maybe a fuel tank in between the rear fins. As always your work is incredible and well thought out
What a beautiful addition to the mad Max line. I might have thought about breaking the strap on the left hand side of the vehicle At about the window height.
Love your videos
It’d be interesting if you could get ahold of some Tron light-cycles to Mad Max-ify.
Zombie Apocalypse Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo
looks good so far
Master....Greetings from Colombia...👏👏👏👏👏
Nice Work!
Sweet love it big like 😋😎
Gotta say very interesting never thought anybody would do a ecto 1 like that but it looks really cool i love it so far must be a real fan of ghost busters to even go out of ur way to make there proton packs
That 69 dodge charger, what color did you paint it?. Dukes of hazzard orange
El coche te quedo precioso, una chulada total
I think you should have gone with something like a ray gun instead of the Gatling gun to play into Ghostbusters more Syfy elements.
Also I think you should add some sort of modified Ghostbusters decal to the hood
This is awesome, I bet a pushbar on the front would look really cool
That’s art folks 👊
No idea how I got here but my inner movie nerd is extremely greatful
Bullet holes in the back and perforations in the windshield at the center?
I'm curious how you might smash the light bars in a way that looked like a rock had hit it and shattered a chunk exposing the hollow but not the whole light.
Really cool though, I'm eager for more
Very Nice 👍
Cut part of the rear windows out, not all the glass in a madmax world would have survived. This way anybody who looks on the inside can see your detail work on the inside. Also maybe build some styrene armor or shielding on the outside or roof instrument cluster.
