Love your content guys. As the Adventra experts, what does it mean if my esp is not working? Thanks and keep going
The easiest way to work it out is by putting a scantool onto it, but genrally the common reasons If its ALWAYS not working and there is no ABS fault, it will be the YAW sensor under the centre console that needs replacing. If ESP failure only comes on when its night time (eg. taillights are on) or if works fine until you might use your brake check rear tail lamp globes. If its ESP and ABS failure the issue is most likley a wheel speed sensor, either stopped working or not connected properly or maulfunctioning speed sensors normally are the cause when ESP doesnt fail until you begin moving. There can be other causes, but these are the most common. The next least likley one thats still common but not as common as the above is the brake switch is failing but this is normaly also accomodated with a random "Brakes Hot" warning periodically on the dash. As I said though get it scanned, based on what codes been pushed out will really point you in the right direction.
When was this trip?
