  • Kill La Kill is an outrageous anime. It is popular for many reasons. I made a video about this not to long ago. However it was a very short video. I will attempt to go deep into the bizarre plot, unique characters, and profound themes that make this anime a cult-classic. This anime is made by Studio Trigger. Kill La Kill boldly deconstructs a lot of tropes that we see in anime and manga. I am going to look at philosophical undertones and poignant messages hidden beneath the over-the-top animation and humor. We'll explore the fascinating relationships between characters like Ryuko, Mako, and Satsuki, shedding light on their growth and development.
I love the awesome soundtrack by Hiroyuki Swano, which adds an adrenaline-fueled layer to the intense fight scenes and comedic moments. The soundtrack for this anime is awesome. From "Before my Blood is Dry” to "Blumenkranz," contributes to the overall brilliance of Kill La Kill.

Well, I can describe this anime with one quote, which for 10+ years has been in my status on the page of one of the social networks "Don't Lose Your Way". And this one say's a lot. I rewatch iconic anime for me almost every year, i know every frame, every quote, but every time i rewatch it, i have almost a same feelings every time. And it's always wonderful.

Anime are bad because of the fan service. This anime’s fanservice makes sense with the story, even though it threw me off. This anime is not for everyone💀

It saddens me that people are turned off because of the legendary fanservice in this show. They’ll never get to experience some of the best characters in fiction, and some of the best representation of strong female characters.

@drfabulous2804 it still holds up and is ten times better that the fan service anime we get in anime today.

I love Ryuko, but my god I am utterly IN LOVE with Satsuki. She is possibly my favourite fictional character of all time. She is so complex, from the way she is willing to coldheartedly use those closest to her (Uzu, Gamagoori, Ryuko) for her endgame, no sacrifice is too small for her. But deep down she is doing these awful things for the best reasons. As much of a flawed character she is, she is utterly polarising from start to finish and her development when realising she can’t just use people as tools but rather she has to work with them is great. I always love the Machiavellian type characters and Satsuki Kiryuin might just be one of the best.
I (like you) also love that Ryuko doesn’t have a love interest. But I feel conflicted about possible romantic connotations regarding her relationship with Senketsu. I don’t personally see them as romantic but I think there are elements that show thier bond was deeper than friends, lovers, family or symbiosis. Soulmates perhaps? Idk, I just feel that their bond was something that can’t be described as clinically as platonic OR romantic.

it would not be cancelled today lol stop making up people to get mad at trigger is still incredibly popular and fanservice anime still come out constantly

    • @DecafisHere

I know it’s popular but the themes and messaging just wouldn’t work now. People are to quick to dismiss anime & manga that tackle political and social issues. The messaging of Kill La Kill would anger a lot of fans. The fan service in other anime is brushed off and most become forgettable. Kill La Kill stands out because It did what most anime could never do. Studio Trigger’s anime is not able to tap into mind of modern audiences because of how stubborn and idiotic they are. Fans, not all, call everything “woke”, which dilutes the power of certain stories. When I say it would be cancelled. It would be cancelled by certain fans who don’t like the deconstruction of anime as a whole. Sorry for not elaborating in the video, I’m still new to video creation

Ye… Twitter would go ham at the sexuality and all that etc. it had a good grounding which helps keep it in popular eye. Don’t underestimate cancel culture,

@@DecafisHere Both the Anti Woke and Woke people would hate kill la kill if it released today. But to clarify people would not Kill La Kill woke because number one the female characters look feminine and not male. Number 2 Kill La Kill doesnt use politics to preach to people in their faces their is politics but not shoved down and virtue signalled to our faces. number 3 it doesnt disresepect the fans and subvert our expectations for the sake of it (The Last Jedi).
