We went there as a kid back in the late 60's early 70's. We later lived at the lake and our school bus would cross the dam.

I went there several times as a kid. Broke my arm in the skating rink, in junior high.

@@2xroadtrippers It certainly is sad. You could also go inside the dam and walk around. It was a magical place to a junior high kid.

@@2xroadtrippers I have always wondered why they closed it. Probably money. Seems it was a good source of income for Cisco. Sad.

When I was in jr. high we went to a band competition in Cisco. Afterwards, our band teacher took us to this pool. There wasn’t any water in it then. I remember climbing up the ladder to get out of the pool. I couldn’t belive how big it was.

I was fortunate to experience the Lake Cisco pool as a child in the 60s. It was heaven on earth! A place I will never forget!

Why did it close down?

There was a skating rink near the pool that burned down and he pool fell into disrepair.. I think it closed sometime in the 80's.
