I miss this beautiful city with a small town feel!! My husband is a cab driver there. Shout out : Miss my gal pals at Costa!! May God bless the city! Sniff sniff! 💋
@Wilkes McDermid In a second post, you celebrated murder (murder, for goodness sake!). For that reason (your heartless value system), I'm inclined to think that the azz-whoopin' you received (provided it even happened; perhaps you're lying about it as to elicit pity) was justified. Somehow, someway -- your smart-aleck butt instigated it! (You screwed with the wrong people and paid the price for it.) Ultimately, it's hard to have compassion for those, like you, who find coldblooded murder a happy thing!
It was 27 years ago when i studied in Norwich , Norfolk , (at the time it was - Air UK Engineering Technical College) Lived there for 4 years until Year 2000 , such a memorable Chapter of my Life ... ❤❤❤
Born and bred in Norwich, great city, however i spent quite a few years in Derby and found the people far more friendly than my home city. still would`nt change it for the world though.
I just saw one of the BGT audition clips which a son and his dad answered the judges that "We come from Norflok, Norwich". OMG! My heart was flashing and twinkling. This make me realize that I MISS NORWICH SO MUCH. It is such a good old memory.
Norwich is a fantastic city, with many highlights. My personal favourite being the gorgeous cathedral, made of beautiful french Caen stone, containing exquisite Romanesque interiors from 1096-1145. It has over 1000 painted medieval “bosses” situated on the ceiling vault - an unrivalled treasure! Of course Norwich contains much more. The 11th century castle for instance; a really unique Norman fortress! Norwich has also retained many historical buildings; that line charming narrow streets. Not forgetting an exceptionally well preserved medieval/ Tudor area - “Elm Hill.” The city contains over 30 medieval churches, and other non-religious medieval buildings such as the ”Guildhall”, “The Halls”, “The Great Hospital” (established 1249) and ”Dragon Hall.” There’s also pretty riverside walks, one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the country (established in the 11th century) and a Roman Catholic Cathedral (which is also worth a visit). Overall a fantastic historic city - what’s not to like?
Nice video Jack, the flow and pacing is just right. Thought your narration was really good - easy to listen to - just completed my first narration on my East Anglia video - not as easy as it sounds!
Thanks very much, Paul! I enjoyed your video about East Anglia, Horning and Norwich (of course) are very close to my heart. If you ever wish to collaborate and recruit me as a narrator, please let me know.
what great memories, now an expat not been back sadly for 22 years, now an expat in indonesia, great childhood memories Joined the RAF, first posting Horsham St Faith, my old mum though I was absent without leave as i had somuch time off at home
Used to live near UEA, growing up in Eaton (Northfields) used to st Augustus (swimming pool) on Saturday or sometimes when parents went to Asda we would go to splash fun times
Come home soon sir. little has changed, though we have a new monarch and potatoes and tomatoes are now on the menu. Otherwise you will find things pretty much as your ancestors left it. A friendly unpretentious city, peopled by friendly unpretentious folk.
Wooooooow😍😍😍😍 I love this beautiful city very much because it is the city where my sweetheart and queen of my heart live, I hope that God will soon gather me and create a beautiful family and enjoy the love and peace.
I got an offer from Norwich University of the Arts... but I'm not sure whether I should go there or not, I mean the university is indeed great, but I'm not sure whether I would have a good and diverse life there. I would prefer to be living a life in big and more modern cities like Birmingham or London tho, where I can have more funs and buy so many stuffs in like big shopping malls. And I feel like Norwich is like a small town, not many people, and not many modern buildings etc comparing to other cities... but please tell me if I am wrong and tell me that I can have a good life in Norwich. I really like that university and I don't just want to go there for study but also to get a life.
Hii I also want to go there because of that uni and I feel that if you like it you should totally go, I think big cities are too romanticized and it could be a great opportunity if you gave it a shot :) if not, u can always transfer! Good luck
Norwich is still one of the top 10 shopping cities in the uk. There is 2 malls, and loads of independent stores in the lanes. It's also a much much nicer city to live in than Birmingham or London and cheaper. There is more than enough restaurants to try as well. And you can get to London and Cambridge in less than 2 hours on the train, and it's close to the beach. If you get a chance to visit Norwich for a weekend you definitely should. I think you'd be surprised as a lot of people are
Norwich is indeed a vibrant, friendly city. It is safe, with fresh air, beautiful countryside and beaches not too far away. I am sure you will make a lot of very good friends here. You can also take day trips to London or Cambridge. London is huge and hard to get around, the cost of living is also higher than Norwich. You can be lonely in bigger cities; Norwich will take you to its heart and no matter where you go in the world; you will aways look back fondly on your time in Norwich. Good luck in making your choice. There is another recent video on Norwich done by a young student from Hong Kong; she gives Norwich a very high score!
I know its hard to understand this opiniom but iam emigrant and i still like this city for many reasons one of its is the Norwich got one of the lowest popullation of emigrants in england what make its unique
The Larkie was always an interesting area. It's a shame the pub is now an Aldi, I went in there for a darts match 30 odd years back and it was a night to remember.
You are out of your mind mate I presume you haven’t visited this city if you think you find it boring. Cities like Norwich isn’t boring at all. There are lavish things to do and see here. You just need to get out of your house and see the world more.
I'm lucky enough to call Norwich home.
I am Costa Rican and this is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in my life, I want to be there again.

Norwich or Brighton ? Iam confused now , and i've to move from This Bloody Cardiff Asap ! :/
Norwich is probably more affordable. It's very compact. It's quaint, but busy.
Wow that's strange! Thinking of leaving London and you have mentioned my top 3 contenders! Brighton, Norwich and Cardiff

Sick of going/seeing Norwich every single day and now I find a video of it on CZcams.... Fml.
At least you don't live outside of Norwich where you just see trees and fields everyday like i do.
You're going to get a shock when you find out most cities are horrible compared to Norwich
Just be thankful you don't live in a industrial estate
Think yourself lucky you live in such a lovely city, I wish I could move back!
Hi i moving there soon any girl want to married
Great video destroyed by unnecessary crap music in background
the homeless the creackheads

Thought I've seen you begging
...expensive I bet
Yes I live there
And druggies
Aaahhha that’s acc so true I I see them everywhere
Norwich is a lovely city however most of it's population are very fucking dull and apathetic.
Love Norwich. Hate the music
6 years later and it literally resembles nothing like this. So sad
Norwich was the last stronghold, but sadly it is declining like all the other English cities.
Sorry dont agree , have you been to all the other English City's
so you can make your comment m
Not very lovely now with all the stabbings and drug dealing

That's a rare thing you just judge cities by the news Norwich is actually a lot safer than London,Manchester and Liverpool for example
KeRrBrAdErZzZ 98 and the roadmen
Nice montage up until the shots of the UEA campus. It's an 1960s eyesore and should be demolished!
Kiyoshi Kirishima aahhhhaaaaa fuck offffff
And are you gonna pay for its replacement? The UEA is pretty much a mini town itself. That would take a lot of money to replace the University.
Kiyoshi Kirishima maybe keep your exceptionally rude and ignorant opinion to yourself.
Wow, it looks so boring .
You have no idea.... especially if you're a friendless loner like me xD
What do you expect a fairground and circus (Numbty)
