    Thanks for your videos. I'm amazed how much more enjoyable it is to work out on a sliding bench system than typical gym weight stack machines. My personal experience is that I prefer the XLS (I have both an XLS and Fit, which I've now given to my son), mainly because I prefer the all-metal XLS bench as the raised top and bottom sections give your knees something to press against on crunches and press-ups and the shape/width makes it more comfortable to hang legs over the front. The welds are better and the vinyl seems tougher too but that may be due to my XLS being made in Taiwan while my FIT was made in China. I also prefer the XLS 3-point locking mechanism without needing a safety pin, but that's minor I know. Definitely a model for all tastes out there though. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks so much for these videos! I just got an XLS and LOVE it! It’s the cushier slide bench and yes - it doesn’t bottom out like the fit. I do a lot of Plyometrics and that would really frustrate me getting a good pilates-style work out or jump squats interrupted by getting stuck 😠

    I do love the Fit, it was my first 2nd hand score ~ and use it in the summer outside on the deck, because I scored TWO XLS models for a total of 200 dollars, they match and look good in my home gym where I train some ladies. The fit IS more stable, quiet, smooth feeling and has more levels, which I like, but the XLS is great for an average athletic woman, using everyday!

    Nice. I’m very happy with my Total Gym Fit Plus. At my age I don’t ever see myself growing out of it. I would like to see some videos about proper form for some of the more common exercises. A lot of videos kinda breeze by it, but I for one would like to see someone go into it in more detail. Sometimes I’m not sure I’m doing the exercises properly.

  • @drewbob3030
    @drewbob3030 Před 2 lety +1

    Correct me if I’m wrong, but lengthening the glide rails on the Fit decreases the degree of incline, and, therefore, the resistance compared to the Fit, provided each set to the same height? The geometry between to two models would be different.

  • @MsPattyb22
    @MsPattyb22 Před 2 lety +2

    Hi there. Thanks for all your great videos. They are so helpful. I recently got a Total Gym X Force off of Craigslist for $50 and am really loving it. This is something I see myself using 4-5 times a week. My husband and I will probably be wanting to add more weight to the glide board to add more resistance soon (Saw your video on the resistance bar/bands, which looks like a great idea). Do you think it makes sense to invest in the Total Gym FIT? It seems like the glide board may be of higher quality and smoother, right? My X Force seems a little “rough” when it slides. Overall, would you say the FIT feels a lot better than the cheaper Total Gym (sturdier, smoother, etc)? QVC is running a sale on the FIT Ultimate right now ($829) which seems like a really good deal so it might make sense to upgrade now. Thanks so much!

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  Před 2 lety +4

      Yes I do think the less expensive models like my APEX G1 (which share the same frame I believe) have a rougher ride. I do think the FIT is worth all around for the points you addressed being smoother and a heavier build. Of all the Sliding Benches I have, I prefer the FIT the most. That is a great deal as well!

    Besides structure yes the fit can hold 50 more pounds of weight and typically from what I hear from most people that's the selling point. But what most fail to mention is the fact that the 50 pounds only really is 24 or 25 pounds more that your lifting Compared to the Xls.

    mike, i've noticed for the small squat stand on the xls and fit, the steel bars looks different. Which squat stand is stronger would you say? Just from appearance the xls one looks stronger.

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  Před rokem +1

      The shorter ones will probably last longer because the bigger ones has to deal with a lot more stress on the leverage being higher up on the stand if that makes sense. That's how I at least bent my GR8FLEX one.

    • @hybridresistance
