In the past I had a k&n intake for my lbz,but it kept turning on my check engine light and it was my egr. Does this one effect it as well. I live in a state that checks every 2 years and do not want to take it out
HSP intakes use stock locations to pull air from like both those brands, but their airbox’s are not “sealed” like a S&B for example. Super easy to access their filters though.

Is there any comparison between this and S&B or banks? They seem to focus on the closed box verses the blocker plate.

I really do like this intake. Much more turbo sound overall and the trucks EGT’s are staying a bit cooler than my previous intake. I highly recommend!
