    I have used Phentermine with great success, losing 83 pounds in six months. Of course, it was in conjunction with a plant-based diet of about 1500 calories per day, and walking for exercise. I tried Topirimate, but had terrible bouts of anger, along with blurry vision and brain fog. It was not for me, unfortunately.

      @@Brian-fm1zp I started out with half of a 37.5mg for two weeks, then increased to 37.5 daily. After two months, I was able to cut back to half a pill and not be as hungry. I think it's because I was eating less and had been practicing better eating habits.

    I lost 90lbs using Phentermine + portion control/healthier choices over the course of about one year. I was on the 15mg, then the 30, and then 37.5mg during that time.
    I mostly kept the weight off for a few years.

    My doc prescribed phentermine and topiramate for weight loss rather than Qsymia. I’m not sure why though.

    • @lynndanielson4172
      @lynndanielson4172 Před 6 měsíci +1

      I suspect your doctor was trying to save you money. My doctor prescribed bupropion and naltrexone (instead of Contrave) for this reason. I’m grateful she did. I’ve had good success with this combination. I understand pharmaceutical companies need to recoup research costs. However, the markup on these newly patented combinations of drugs seems excessive when their components are available separately in generic form.
      I liked Dr Brian’s comments about prescribing phentermine and topiramate separately as a DIY Qsymia. As he said, the formulation of Qsymia can’t be exactly replicated, but given my experience with bupropion/naltrexone (vs contrave) I would definitely talk to my doctor about taking phentermine and topiramate instead of Qsymia.

      Are you working out and eating right? If not then you wont lose weight. You have to take the crackhead energy that comes from the pills and burn it off. You have to do more than just take the pills. You gotta work out and you gotta eat right.
