I had wondered on this after viewing the van tour. Thanks for making the video. Great choice in brew too. Also starting to put my tool kit together. Took advantage of Veto 20% trade school discount. Went with Tech Pac and just received my own 10pc Wiha insulated screwdrivers. Always best to research for quality tools that will last the test of time. Thanks for all the information you've provided to those of us as upcoming apprentices. Loving the FUN videos as well... how can you not crack up while filming them... amazing!
I switched from a 50lbs toolbox to a 30lbs toolbox to a TP5B with just the essentials. I take a bucket with some extra tools necessary for the job (think a brush or a large knipex cobra) I’m doing at the moment. I don’t have back m/knee problems yet as I’m still young, and I like to keep it that way!
Thanks for the video! I am getting into HVAC now. This Monday the 21st I start Tech school here in Kansas. I got out of the service back in 2014. Tried to figure out what I wanted to do with my life till now. Using the GI bill for school. Its great. I just picked up a new bag from dewalt did a review on it. Its my first video so not the best! Thank you for your service!
I literally just purchased that little gear wrench SAE/Metric 1/4" ratcheting set bc as you are right, they are LIFE savers...I have the Klein and Craftsman ones, but they only come with driver bits and NOT sockets...and the Wera Tool Check Plus is just too expensive for me....Thank you! This little set will go EVERYWHERE with me!
AK; sweet tool bag and tools review. Keep the great videos rollin sir... hope u got to enjoy the rest of your brew after the video lol. Have a safe rest of your week and weekend...
I recently got my primary service bag (plumber) just the way I want it. Everything I need and nothing I don't. The only problem is when I went to pick it up it was too damn heavy. Weighed in at 50lbs. Oh well, back to the drawing board I guess...
if you want a tip. sears, imho has the best 4" crescent wrench... it's craftsman brand and opens about as wide as a 6in or 8in. Well, it opens wider than most other brand 4in wrenches. good setup.
Excellent video. Its easy to tell you put some serious thought into how your bag is organized. Im an audio/ video contractor and i used to use the LC but i kept adding more and more tools so i upgraded to the Tech XL and the regular XL. I NEVER carry those bags. I use a wheelie and a bungee cord to secure the bag when pulled. Granted i carry it when in a customers home but try to save my back. If you eventually go the Tech XL you will be able tp place your impact inside your bag. I found a way with the larger bags to include an 18 volt drill and 12 volt driver inside with batteries. Dug your video and your set up. Gave me a few ideas. Thx
D. Knibb thanks for your feedback and watching the video! I think the XL will be purchased in the very near future. The A/V world seems like a pretty cool and niche trade. I hope it's treating you well.
AK HVAC If you are ever interested in my set up, i can send you a photo (s) of my TechXL or XL set up. Specifically my arrangement for my drills. I have the same makita 12 volts. I primarily use the 12 volt screw driver. My email is uniquesoundsolutions@yahoo.com
what is the brand of the German screw drivers? I just bought German linesmans, slip joint, cutters, etc. They were not cheap!! but really great quality.
I like the Fluke kit but I am thinking really not necessary. I have some large jumper wires and some smaller ones. I just clip them onto my meter leads. Been doing this 20 years and they have always worked for getting a reading. It wouldn't hurt to have that kit on the van though just in case I had a really stubborn location to try to get a meter lead onto.
Great set up bro! I must say, you are right on about back problems, wether it's from our various tool bags or the terrible places/positions we need be in on a daily basis etc.... I'm going to be requiring back surgery in the near future I was told by my doc. Good luck my friend
I worked for some angry unfriendly Russians in Boston as a Helper. It got me interested. Long story short. Dude put a gun to my head when I wired a thermostat the wrong way. I believe it was 10thermostats.. whoops. Figure il just go to q 13 week course and get some training. In English... Your videos are encouraging.
I've been carrying a husky 11 in. Electricians tool bag I picked up for 50 bucks its served me well but, man do i want a veto, I've been doing low voltage for 3 years and am really thinking of making the switch to HVAC.
If you just mean a standard core "driver" like you find on some 11 in one screwdrivers, they're all the same size. If you mean actual valve core removal tools, which allow you to change valve cores without recovering the refrigerant first, then they all use the 1/4' core tool. The exception is mini splits and VRF equipment, which use a 5/16" tool.
AK HVAC thanks for the response. I am attending my last semester of college for HVAC and trying to get a good amount of tools before my GI Bill bah stops. Your videos have been very helpful. Thanks for the content.
Tyler Habberfield I have many doubles of hand tools...however I've been using this bag more often now that summers in full swing, so I moved my 12v impact and a few of my pliers over to the bigger bag.
+polishtheturd mickelson thanks man! I was using the shit out of them recently so kept the set in my bag...but yeah they're not a tool that normally takes up real estate in there.
Good video, but a little sketchy in places, for the lay person, e.g. I don't know what that gauge in the blue box is all about, and I don't have x-ray. vision to see inside those pouch/packages in the backside of your bag, so I don't know what you're talking about.
In my defense, the video is made by an HVAC tech for other HVAC techs to help them with ideas for their tool setup...but I'll work on broadening my verbiage to possibly include lay people looking to enter the trade. Thanks for watching hg2
Invest in a gps tracking device for the bag. I shot two pieces of shit in my country for taking the wrong man's bag. Couldn't bragg about it, had it not been for the tracking device.
Straightoutofchiraq like I said in the video man this is for large repairs...not residential work. I have a small bag for troubleshooting and light repairs that I use 90% of the time. I have a video on that as well. Yes it is very heavy and does hurt the back. But that's the job man.

Thank you for the videos brotha 🙏
Great video. I use that bag currently and I use those testo wireless gauges as well. They are awesome to use.
Looks like my tools !!! Haha literally tool for tool !! My XL comes today , with a mb2 !!!! Can't wait ...for my MAN purse haha

R Miller thanks brotha! Appreciate the feedback
Great video man, Would love to see a video on that meter taking hertz readings!
My back started hurting, as soon as I clicked on this video
I bet you’d be shocked to hear I don’t carry this bag anymore😁
@@AKHVAC Was it the weight..or did you lighten the load?

Great video bro this is good info 👍🏼
Thank you sir!!
Nice and organize awesome
Da_ Plumber thanks man!
that's a nice set up
Rodney Thornhill thanks man!
Hey brother that's a cute bag. In all seriousness I love your videos. Especially the dispatch
Daniel Hernandez thanks brotha! Appreciate you watching man 👍👍🍻
I need to show mine. I prefer the Tool-Pak 4 panel.
kids napping is always great!

NinjaTruther thanks for the tip! I'll look into that
I have the Veto XL. In the near future I will be purchasing the TP4B to go along with the XL
Great video where did you purchase the wire tape label?

Bondhus rocks! and will sell and or warranty individual wrenches

Where do you find them T bar allen wrench set ? My set never fits in my big bag .

Actualmente trabajas en hvac
Great video and bag but "Fieldpiece Cadillac" LMFAO
Where did you get the label sticker roll?
I've been carrying a husky 11 in. Electricians tool bag I picked up for 50 bucks its served me well but, man do i want a veto, I've been doing low voltage for 3 years and am really thinking of making the switch to HVAC.
Love the video. Got a newbie question. Which size Schrader core remover tool is used for commercial and industrial hvac
If you just mean a standard core "driver" like you find on some 11 in one screwdrivers, they're all the same size. If you mean actual valve core removal tools, which allow you to change valve cores without recovering the refrigerant first, then they all use the 1/4' core tool. A-Aron 34 Glad the videos have been helpful. I used the GI Bill myself to get through an HVAC college program. Best of luck to you!
I'll call ya out, only need about four sizes on the Allen wrenches. Carry small magnetic but drivers in your pocket and use small cordless.
I like the your Tool box
how much does it cost
What do you carry now?
Blue Monster is amazing!
Wiha! Awesome!
Very nice quality bag!
What is your service area?
The Republic thanks! I like the blue monster as well. I'm out of Lexington KY
Where we can buy that sir or order?
Hey AK. A little FYI the husky wrenches are made by gear wrench. If you are looking to save some money, you can by the huskies instead of gear wrench.
drifter436 thanks buddy, I didn’t know that! Luckily I got those on sale, I’ll keep that in mind for next time. Thanks for watching👍👍!!
And I thought I had some heavy tool bags. I love to carry as much as possible so I don’t have to go back to the van
Total weight of bag and tools?
No hammer?
I run the greenlee cm-450 469$ BEST METER..SMALL..COMPACT..LIGHT..PERFECT
👍👍🌹🌹
Do you move tools from your "go bag" to your larger bag or do you have duplicate tools in each bag?
Tyler Habberfield I have many doubles of hand tools...however I've been using this bag more often now that summers in full swing, so I moved my 12v impact and a few of my pliers over to the bigger bag.
Nice video AK. Probably don't need to carry that t handle allen wrenches in your bag.
+polishtheturd mickelson thanks man! I was using the shit out of them recently so kept the set in my bag...but yeah they're not a tool that normally takes up real estate in there.
How do you stay accountable for all of that
HS36 IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE FROM FP...I HAVE IT😜👍👍👍👍
HVAC/R DUDE Calm down it’s a field piece and it’s only 230$.
🖒💡
Who makes the T-handle Allen's
Richard Moore Wiha makes nice T-Handles and so does Bondhus
Uei DL429B is the best meter

Need a dolly too lol
Too full, I did the same on my Veto and the zipper didn't last very long.
When you bend that zipper 180 degrees down you are asking it to fail early, mine did fail after 2-3 years. Get the backpack, it works better.
Invest in a gps tracking device for the bag. I shot two pieces of shit in my country for taking the wrong man's bag. Couldn't bragg about it, had it not been for the tracking device.
It's a Tech LC not MC. Nutdrivers not nutrunners
It's sad this man was brutally raped and murdered by roving thugs immediately after shooting this video
Too much... ridiculous... future back issues
