Thanks man I just finished HVAC school got a job and found out I know nothing but it’s cool i work with awesome guys they got me running maintenance calls with another guy and I just got this bag and put what I think so far what I will need and I’m just trying to get some ideas great video for everyone but especially the rookies thanks again
Love the video I've been shopping around for a tool bag and seeing how I can fit my Milwaukee impact with my other basic service tools convinces me this is the bag I want
Good video. I have been a tech for over 25 years. Everyone needs a go bag. I also like right in the middle on my bags too. No need to care everything but the kitchen sink. That is what that big shinny thing is for. Best of all it will keep you from running over clues that stopped the system. I see to many young tech think the first thing they need to do is put their gauges on.
Wonderful video especially for us just moving into the HVAC-R industry. I also have found the need for this sort of mini-bag to store essential items. Regarding flashlights. I've found it very useful to get a Powercap (made by Panther Vision). Its a regular cap with bright LED lights in the brim. Very useful for crawling in dark roofs while keeping your hands free. Great Channel, look forward to your next video.
Great kit mate! Perfect setup for troubleshooting and service calls 👍🏻 Thanks for the video.. I’d recommend switching out the; strippers, needle nose pliers and cutters for the Milwaukee 6 in 1 (save some space and a quality tool with extras)
I have that bag as a maintenance bag. It's great for a meter and a couple tools! Looks like you did a great job workin yours into what you need. I run the MC as my go bag and the Veto backpack for major service. Good talk sir!
I use this bag as an apprentice electrician. Works great to carry all the essentials. Only thing i did was took off the handle on the top and put a hazard4 shoulder strap on there that has little molle attachments that work great to hold a tape measure or my belt pouches when I'm carrying it around. Nice video. Great bag.
Great video. I have this same bag as my troubleshooting bag. The MB2 is a great bag. Putting a impact drill in the bag was a good idea. It bats having to carry a drill in your hand everytime.
Matt Mc I appreciate that Matt! Thanks so much for watching, and the MB2 is still my hands down favorite bag for service calls. You won't be disappointed💪
Good stuff, brother. I’m looking to getting one of those bags soon. I’m on the side of the spectrum of taking my fully loaded 10x10” electrician style tool bag with me all the time. I’m new to the trade and barely came across this idea. Thanks for the great advice.
Very helpful for someone just getting started (finishing school still). I ask different guys what they use as their main carry/load out...a lot of differences...like you said, everyone finds what works for them...I'm sure it'll take some time, but I'm impatient...going to grab this little bag because it's reasonable. Was going to start with the Tech Pac, but I just can't afford it since I'm not working yet. This I can afford. Thanks for the video. Gave you a thumbs up and saved it for later reference.
Mike, it's going to take some time and some money to figure out what works for you. I've been a technician for 20 years and am still changing my load-out gear and carry method.
I’m the guy who take the whole truck on the roof lol i just bought the mb1 I’m excited to see how this works out, carting around a full size bag around is starting to get old when it only takes a few things to repair 90% of my calls
Good kit , well thought out . I hear you on the 12 volt stuff . You should try the Bosch , 12 volt FlexClic ( drill/screw runner/ angle drive/ offset) ,not a nut buster by any means , but gets into tuff spots . Often on service calls , you are dissassembling stuff out of Sync , with how it goes together . I’m thinking of going a similar rout for Ethernet based supervisory systems , would contain a few basic parts , crimpers , strippers , Fluke Lan testing tone and probe , punchdown tools etc.
They updated the Kline stripping pliers to include a wire crimper now. I have had mine about 2 years now and they seem to strip wire better that the originals. Great video
Man I started as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning mechanic at 18 served a 5 year apprenticeship . I am 58 still on the tools 40 years in this trade and stay on top of new technologies. Never been unimployed made over a 100 grand a year since 2000 I lucked out and found the trade I love at 18. It's a very involved demanding trade not for everyone. But worth a look as a career for any !an or women Cheers Sean Canada
I carry the bare minimum. A few tools that have multible purposes and uses. A meter, jumpers, small impact drill. I carry light then if I have repairs I go get the heavy bag. I travel light because why wear your self out if you don't need to. Why carry 30 lbs of tools every were when 10 lbs will do 95 percent of the jobs.
Mike Clark thanks for the comment Mike! I absolutely love that makita. You're right, it's much smaller than the Milwaukee. Very reliable and rugged little impact, perfect for service work. All my full size power tools are Milwaukee, but the makita was on sale that day. Haven't used any of the m12 stuff yet, but in sure they're great too.
The most important part of a great tech. Is that he won’t lie to me about a mistake. I can overcome the mistakes but I can not overcome the coverup. I will always find out.
That's a nice setup man. You're really making me reconsider hauling around my Tech XL all the time. I feel like something like this would work well. My only concern is the Velcro. Does it hold up well after constant opening and closing?
If the pouch is "overfilled" with hand tools the Velcro does pop open on you. It's like a 3 inch wide heavy duty Velcro band and holds up extremely well if loaded correctly. I've had it about two years now and it's still doing great.
Just bought this bag today! Already love it compared to my full sized bag. Quick question, are those lil poppers by supco (or any other company) handy? I haven't used them before and was curious if I should keep them handy in my PM bag
Congrats! Pretty much my favorite bag ever. And yes, I keep a couple 3 amp mini poppers in my bags, they certainly can be useful while troubleshooting low voltage shorts. Thanks for watching!
I like how you took a “bug-out-bag” approach to this video. I’m also all about the multi function tools. I have the Veto MCT, and it’s an awesome bag! But it’s getting a bit heavy these days. Would a fluke 87 fit in this bag? I’ve been looking at the standard size vs the MB2 and really just want something for my meter and accessories. But also, I wouldn’t mind keeping an 11 in 1, needle nose and tech screwdriver in it. Would this bag be overkill?
Chris Denton I have the same Fluke meter 87v and it will actually fit into the mb1 but the mb2 does have a little more room. It’s bigger than it looks in the video
Jeepjones85 I bought the MB1, used it for about a week. The 87 fits great with the tools I mentioned in my first comment. And room to spare. But... I missed having all my tools with me. So it’s been repurposed for now.
It certainly will! If I'm correct thats a data logging meter, not an amp-clamp type. The MB2 holds my Fieldpiece sC660, which is an obnoxiously tall meter.
Man I own both, the SC660 has way more bells/whistles, but I used Fluke for so long before that, I cant help but always prefer my 902. Right now the SC660 is in my MB2 but will likely switch back soon, and throw the fieldpiece in another bag.
I was recently offered an apprentice position at a Commercial HVAC place, as a first year apprentice. Do you think they would care about my tattoos on my arms so long as I stay well groomed and am extremely friendly to people?
I subbed bro! I always shot, edited and posted videos from my Iphone, edited in the iMovie app. The chiller gasket video from 3 weeks ago was the last video I did like that. I upgraded to Adobe Premiere Pro for editing now.
And to be clear if the tech makes a mistake. I will always take the blame for the techs mistake if he’s been honest with me about the mistake because my technicians come first. I will take the blow back from the customer.
Wow someone who listens to the audience, reshoots to fix it earned my sub.
Thanks for that and for watching Str8MrknU 👍👍!! Appreciate the support🍻

I just bought the same bag. I love it. You gave me some good pointers on what to put in my bag, great video!
Familia Sanchez HVAC glad it helped!
Love the video I've been shopping around for a tool bag and seeing how I can fit my Milwaukee impact with my other basic service tools convinces me this is the bag I want

Sweet video and bag. That little bag holds a ton of important tools. Look forward to more awesome videos man.
R Miller thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
I just got the bag and same drill bc of this video, I like how it’s only 12v and lightweight and the bag is so convenient for just diagnosis
DMVHEAT&COOL MB2 is still my all time favorite bag and setup bro! Hasn't let me down yet.
I have that bag as a maintenance bag. It's great for a meter and a couple tools! Looks like you did a great job workin yours into what you need. I run the MC as my go bag and the Veto backpack for major service. Good talk sir!
The Republic thanks brotha!

Just found your channel, good stuff keep'em coming. 👍🏻
Great video. I have this same bag as my troubleshooting bag. The MB2 is a great bag. Putting a impact drill in the bag was a good idea. It bats having to carry a drill in your hand everytime.
AK you make some good content keep it up man. I like to see how other guys do things. Keep it up you just sold me on this bag for service.
Matt Mc I appreciate that Matt! Thanks so much for watching, and the MB2 is still my hands down favorite bag for service calls. You won't be disappointed💪

Geez all those tools in such a small bag.... awesome !
Nice 12v I have the Bosch 12v, fits in my MB2 great!
Good review. I agree with you....that spring on the Klein All Purpose Pliers is pretty annoying...I may pull that spring out as well.
Ha great video. Thanks for your input and time, makes a lot of since about the impact drill don't need anything heavy duty.
eddiehvac I appreciate the feedback!
I’m the guy who take the whole truck on the roof lol i just bought the mb1 I’m excited to see how this works out, carting around a full size bag around is starting to get old when it only takes a few things to repair 90% of my calls
Great video, I just subscribed. Look forward to other videos.
That means a lot Michael! Thanks for your feedback.
Need ya back on CZcams! Hope you’re doing well. You were a big reason for me to start doing the veto Loadouts on my channel!
The veto bags are great but a little pricey I went with a CLC backpack works pretty well
wow! is use the same bag and also have some pouches attached to it or extra storage.cool video bro
AirPro K thank you!
Looks as if the needle nose took a hit lol keep the videos coming great job.
Lol the sure did⚡️thanks for watching man!!!
Great video something tells me you like Klien nice setup
Matt Gatlin thanks!

Great video.
Air Mechanical thank you!
Great vid man, thanks!

Ill have to check those out. Thanks for watching man👍👍!! Appreciate the support🍻
I also have that tool, the stripper isn't to bad. Extremely convenient tool.
Awesome vid

Pookie Buster thanks for watching! Those bits for sale yet?
We will be accepting pre-orders real soon for this upcoming batch
AK HVAC our store is officially open check it out www.pookiebuster.com
Soul search from time to time to reduce weight in my bag. I wish I could use this small bag but just doesn't work out.
AK, I got the same bag. Love the VETO MB2. That Makita 12v looks a lot smaller than my Millwaukee 12 volt . What do you think of it?
Mike Clark thanks for the comment Mike!

Nice load out. But i would keep a lock out tag out. If i were you
The most important part of a great tech.

Michael Martinez I have a larger Tech LC bag as well, but almost never drag it out first thing for my backs sake!
Awesome man thanks for the helpful input. I think I'm gonna go for it!
Would a tactical duffle bag be a good bag to use?
Just bought this bag today! Already love it compared to my full sized bag.
Quick question, are those lil poppers by supco (or any other company) handy? I haven't used them before and was curious if I should keep them handy in my PM bag
Congrats! Pretty much my favorite bag ever. And yes, I keep a couple 3 amp mini poppers in my bags, they certainly can be useful while troubleshooting low voltage shorts. Thanks for watching!
AK HVAC thanks for such a speedy reply! Holy snopes. Have you tried the 5 amp one for high voltage or would you not trust it?
Colyosis I do have 1 or 2 5 amp as well, but rarely need it. The 3 is something in every bag though👍
Literally insane!
What’s insane
How productive that mini togo service call bag is
Is it worth to buy veto MB2 bag?
I like how you took a “bug-out-bag” approach to this video.
I’m also all about the multi function tools.
I have the Veto MCT, and it’s an awesome bag!

Chris Denton yeah what I really want is a Veto backpack tech pack lol room for everything in there
Wonder if this bag will hold a fluke 289? Thanks for the video
It certainly will! If I'm correct thats a data logging meter, not an amp-clamp type. The MB2 holds my Fieldpiece sC660, which is an obnoxiously tall meter.
Do u have buy your own tools ?
Hey ak which meter do you like better the fieldpiece sc660 or the fluke 902? Thanks brother and Semper Fi.
Man I own both, the SC660 has way more bells/whistles, but I used Fluke for so long before that, I cant help but always prefer my 902. Right now the SC660 is in my MB2 but will likely switch back soon, and throw the fieldpiece in another bag.
Semper Fi!
What do you think your bag weighs with this load out?
Maybe 12 pounds? I’ll have to weigh sometime
He is missing a Pookie Buster
I concur with you Victor he is missing a Pookie buster :)
💪🏻👍🏻
I was recently offered an apprentice position at a Commercial HVAC place, as a first year apprentice. Do you think they would care about my tattoos on my arms so long as I stay well groomed and am extremely friendly to people?
Geoff
Depends on the area and clients. Long sleeves will treat you well. It also keeps you cooler and protected from the sun.
no copper cutters?
Jorge Sanchez for a diagnostics bag? Nah man, if I gotta cut tubing then I'm brazing too. I keep the cutters with my torches.
WHAT DO YOU USE TO EDIT YOUR VIDEOS? A SPECIFIC PROGRAM? THEYRE AWESOME BRO! CHECK ME OUT!
I subbed bro! I always shot, edited and posted videos from my Iphone, edited in the iMovie app. The chiller gasket video from 3 weeks ago was the last video I did like that. I upgraded to Adobe Premiere Pro for editing now.
AK HVAC. Thanks for the reply brother! That's awesome! Love the quality!! Supet good! And your a great TECHNICIAN!! Thanks bro
AK HVAC I use "Filmora Go"...pretty easy to use...lookong for SOMETHING with more options now! Been using it for a year..been good to me lol
I heard Filmora was a great software and its free! I pay for adobe, and its a little overwhelming going from imovie to that. Badass software though!
And to be clear if the tech makes a mistake.
I will always take the blame for the techs mistake if he’s been honest with me about the mistake because my technicians come first.
I will take the blow back from the customer.
get Klein lineman/ stripper combo much better then curve
