IF CJ learn to trust his legs more and just run it himself he could elevate himself to another level because there there were a few times when the center of the pocket was wide open and the LBs were deep and he could of gained a first down or more easily instead of trying to force it downfield

Harrison Jr is the best WR in the country by far. Then they have 2 or 3 other recievers that can be 1s on most other big time programs

Stroud and receivers were a bit out of sync in first half thanks to a really good iowa defense. They figured it out but the iowa defense was tired. More concerned with Ohio State's running game. Everything else got going. Defense, special teams, passing game all looked OK.
I think Williams is the hot hand at running back for now. Henderson looks like he’s still a bit banged up. Doesn’t look like himself. He needs another week or two off.
They held O offense to 180 yards in the first half which is really good considering it's the top offense in the country. Iowa story is very tragic as it has a elite defense but a high school level offense.
Despite oftentimes looking as if they are sleepwalking, Buckeyes seem to always lay a blowout upon opponents.

The buckeye offense is dangerous, but o didn't expect the defense to gel so quickly under a new DC. They look championship ready.

The weakness of the Big 10 does them no favors. That being said, OSU will likely beat Michigan and lose to Georgia in the title. Look out for Tennessee though they can score at will.

Iowa's offense went 1-for-13 on third down and turned the ball over SIX times, including on the first play of the game, while Iowa's legit defense held the Buckeyes to nearly 200 yards below their season average. Iowa's defense was on the field the entire game, usually defending in the Red Zone because of turnovers or failure to move the ball by the offense. And once again, the defense outscored the offense, this time getting the only touchdown of the game. The score makes the whole team look bad, but really it was the offense that caused it. I love Kirk Forenz, but if he doesn't have the character to fire his son from the offensive coordinator position, he will be remembered more for nepotism than coaching.

I believe with all my heart Ohio State is good enough to go 15 and 0. If they only had Marvin Harrison the quarterback and the running back they would be explosive. But they got so much more than that offensively I think that's the best offensive team I've ever seen in college football history. Ohio State won a national championship beat Alabama and then beat Oregon in the national championship 2014. I don't think I know in my heart I don't care how good the defense is in the SEC Ohio State can score against Alabama Tennessee Clemson Georgia. The refs today need to be fined or given a warning there was blatant calls missed and the same calls were called on us primarily in the first half. This is very sad because we have the best referees in the big ten but these particular refs were worse then the sec refs. Update I don't care we won 54-10 the first half had some horrible missed calls.

This game was one of the weirdest I’ve ever seen. Interception on the first play of the game, more defensive TDs than offensive TDs in the first half, an interception followed by a bobbled snap to start the 2nd half. This game was still somehow a blowout despite Iowa putting up a stern defense. That offense is terrible.

I know there will be much made of the awful Iowa offense and rightly so, but the Buckeyes need to do a better job of executing offensively in the first half of games. Iowa was begging them to have a 40 point lead by the end of the first half and the Buckeyes didn't capitalize. Credit to the Iowa defense but some of that was missed execution. To be championship ready you can't play just one amazing half of football. The top teams aren't going to keep giving you reprieves.
Stroud did not play his best but we still won so happy about that

Another win for Overrated State University! Yay! They play nobody all year every year then get their asses handed to them when they play a quality team. No surprise here.
A few key thoughts when thinking about this game:
1. Ohio State's offense was just "good" or average on Saturday and still managed to score 47 points (I'm not counting the pick-six obviously)
2. It amazes me that Iowa's punter was effectively made a "non-factor" in this game due to the insane number of turn-overs, a fake punt, and going for it on fourth down. Not a player you usually give too much of a thought to as far as major impacts on a game... but the guy's legendary leg was essentially neutralized on Saturday.
I am befuddled at the imbalance of the Iowa team... I sincerely want to know how you can consistently build/coach such a great defenses and be so poor offensively. I really can't grasp how a team can be so unbalanced in terms of performance (not just Saturday but in general over the past few seasons). In the end I think the number of possessions just worn them down and OSU poured in on... I don't think any defense can manage the sheer number of possessions OSU had on Saturday. If I counted correctly OSU had 16 possessions... that is a lot to defend.
Petras was probably happy to sit out the 2nd half. This way the critics can't blame him for the loss. It's obvious that Petras, Padilla and the rest of the offense aren't improving under Brian. You can't blame the student athletes for the coach's ineptitude.
I'm number one Ohio state buckeyes
3 things worry me as a buckeye; penn state on the road, purdue, and Iowa.
