To Be Clear: Persian Cats are known for being well-mannered & gentle. While they may not be as feisty as some cats, Persians still have a regal air about them. They tend to be quiet and sweet but if they get annoyed, don’t underestimate their ability to hiss or scratch! In most countries, the Persian Cat is among the most popular breeds of pedigreed animals. They have a good temperament and are frequently kept as pets. To be honest, there are so many reasons why you should get a Persian cat. The Persian cat is a very old breed. Long-haired cats have been popular throughout history and it's no surprise that this elegant breed originated in the cradle of civilization: Mesopotamia, which was later known as Persia and is now modern-day Iran. The long hair likely came from a natural mutation and its striking appearance caught the attention of 17th-century nobleman, Pietro Della Valle. He is credited with the first introduction of the breed in Italy. Those who treat Persian cats with dignity and gentleness will be rewarded with an affectionate lap cat who enjoys petting. If you're looking for a cat that will reciprocate your dedication and love, the Persian cat is one of the breeds most likely to do so. In this video, we will give you 12 reasons why you should get a Persian cat, helping you decide, whether it’s the right breed for you.

Might want to pay a bit of attention to those photos. There are not just Persians, but some Exotic shorthair, British longhair, Maine Coon, Turkish Van, and I even saw a Singapura. As for "extremely healthy", the peke faced have breathing issues. Actually presenting the two main lines - peke-faced and doll-faced would have been a must.

My Persian cat is part dollface, part regular Persian. He is the most beautiful and sweet boy. He really isn't much of a lap cat, but he is affectionate in other ways. He is so clean. His self-grooming is fastidious. I brush and comb him 3x a week. He is very smart and aware. He is very sensitive to cat foods. I finally found the right dry and wet combo for him and he never gets sick and loves it. I never thought I could love a cat. I grew up as a dog person. Two of my friends had amazing Persians, so I opened my heart. Best thing I ever did. ❤️ 🐈

My flat-faced Persian is the sweetest, most gentle creature ever. My younger girl is a flat-faced, dollface mix. She’s not cuddly, but she’s very smart and funny.

I have a doll face calico Persian kitten...she's adorable. She's almost 6 months and although she hasn't demonstrated that she likes to sit on my lap she does lay next to me in bed and falls asleep in my arms. I love her so much!! This was a good video but should have only included images of Persians.

I had a colour point persian for 16 years. Loved him but he was nervous, not very healthy never sit on your lap. Took lots of grooming. He was beautiful to look at, had to be bathed. I loved him but have a ragdoll now. Much easier to look after, and more socialby.

We have had several variations. I agree with the positives shown here. Two important considerations : 1) They are never outside cats. 2) They require more maintenance than others. ( face, eyes, grooming )

Excellent video and thanks for sharing. I had a Persian for 17 and half yrs thank God there is nothing like a Persian they are the best all around in every way. ❤️ They are a bit pricey but my cat was a gift from God after my calico passed on after 18yrs. I am going to save up and get another one they are well worth it.❤️

My Persian is so messy eating dry food. Because his face is flat he has to push his face into the bowl which pushes food out of the bowl.

Persian cats are calm and kind so they will tolerate kids playing with them BUT they do get stressed when there's a lot of energy around them. They just don't show it. for the sake of the cat, I would have them in a child-free home☺

This is such an absurd video and wildly inaccurate and they contradict their statements nonstop in this video. Also are they good with children? I wasn't sure about that after watching this video.

Persian cats frigging hate kids…..this is misleading information! But to be fair a good breeder will not sell you one if you have kids. They need quiet and calm not screaming brats pissing them off!😅
