How so?
I have 3 persian cats and they are all very different. One is super loud. Especially at meal time. He also crys if he takes a nap and does not know where I am. He will literally cry until I tell him. “Over here”. Another one is extremely quiet and a huge love bug! When I clean his eyes. He rubs his face into the wet wipe to help. My little girl is super rambunctious and a total combination of both boys but more loving and more demanding of attention. I highly recommend only getting a persian cat if you absolutely LOVE THEM. They are a lot of work and bath time is necessary and takes an hour at minimum per kitty with drying. If you, like me, since childhood dreamed of having these cats and living in a house filled with magic and little flufff balls. GET A PERSIAN CAT. If you saw it on instagram for the first time a week ago and thinks its cute. Do more research and think long and hard about it. 🥰😸😽😺

I already have a Persian cat and I have NO regrets
My Persian Sophie is the sweetest, calmest, cuddly little kitty I could of ever asked for. She’s so laid back. Definitely a lot of maintenance grooming them though, so keep that in mind. I live in an apartment and work from home, she’s perfect for me. They also snort a lot. That’s something I didn’t realize. She snorts and sneezes quite often.
LOL. I have a Persian named Sophie too. I adopted her and her brother from another mother together seven years ago when Sophie was three and her brother Charlie ( Pretty sure he is a Maine Coon mix) was five. Sophie was the first Persian I ever had and she is very different than any other cats I have ever raised. She is so sweet and gentle. I have pair of boned lovebirds and the little male lovebird adores Sophie and rides around on her back. I don't worry when she chases the bird and the bird loves it. On the other hand I don't trust Charlie so much with the birds. He sees them more as prey and Sophie sees them as buddies. My Sophie is a short haired Persian mostly shades of gray. She still sheds a lot of fur but she loves being groomed. Charlie is a long haired cat and he hates being groomed and has bitten me a couple of times so grooming him is no fun.
These fluffy Persian cats are really sweet and love balancing their time between playtime with humans and snuggling on :)

My Persian kitty is 13/14 weeks. He is very active and does not like to be held. He loves to play and nap. He doesn’t meow often but when he does it’s usually loud. While he doesn’t snore, he does sneeze often and has cat boogers (not often)
I bought a persian cat because I wanted an affectionate cat. Sadly my persian cat bites me when I want to pick her up, she hates being brushed (will only tolerate on the back and only if food involved), will only be petted thrice before leaving and she will not sit in my lap. Even though I feel a little betrayed buying her, I still love her and give her her space needed.
I have a Persian cat, white with beautiful green eyes..... and I can tell you he's the most precious, sweet cat I've ever known. He's a dream come true and she's correct in the video about their sweet demeanor. But not all Persians have breathing problems and need constant eye cleans... those are just the ones that have the more smooshed face that actually have those health problems and haven't been bred properly to have a longer nose/face like my cat that is the beautiful doll face Persian
I completely agree! I don't like hearing mine breath badly ans having trouble eating. I clean her eyes daily but with a white coat she will always look unkept since the product won't clean it all off. Personality is great, but they definitely need their human

My Persian cat has killed mice and wants to be taken outdoors, and he is definitely not a lap cat but occasionally wants massages. He is very fussy with his food and gets stressed easily. He also doesn't like kids much. Lots of fur everywhere though - you can be the cleanest person but those fine fibre-like furs can end up in food.. He has such a great personality, looks like a gorgeous prince, and we love having him be part of our family.
This is all so accurate! I thought I was just lucky that my Persian doesn't meaow much and is super friendly.
My cats are always with me. They follow me all over the house. If I sleep downstairs there are downstairs. If I go to bed upstairs, they go upstairs. My male cat is a lap cat. My female cat is a little more independent. They never bite or scratch. They are the best cats

I have had Persians for 7 years now. They are angels! They are literally lap cats! Keeping multiple together works so well!
Hello, is it advisable to travel them at least once a week? like 1hour of travel time
If you mean moving them to a new place each week, never do that. If you mean going to another place for an 1 hour also not okay. This goes for every cat. You may need to take them to the vet or groomers but don’t talk them out often.
@@yeobinkim8826 Why I mean you couldn't put them in a pet stroller and take them while you walk your dog. Persia don"t like outside fresh air.

I have a persian, he loves cuddles and hates being alone. He hates going outside. He gets on with my baby boy and loves too cuddle up too him. He gets dirty very quick and has to be washed once to three times a week. He loves a good broom and snores like a grown man. He is brushed everyday morning and night the same as his eyes and ears. When we go on vaccation he goes to a cat hotel as he is very clingy and hates to evem be left alone for 1 hr. Hes very playful too everyday he runs round for at least an hr x
I love Persian cats. This is my 3rd white Persian since 1982. They are so gentle, loving and very calm. Yes, it’s a lot of work with the hair but it’s worth it. I have my cat groomed a few times a year. Especially in the summer. He gets the lion cut. Even though he’s indoors, he feels better when it’s shorter Ian the summer. If you worry about your furniture & house being clean, then this is not the cat for you.

@@hehehehehehehehehe99 I would say yes. When I was in school my Persian would be alone for the day, but when I got home I'd spend at least an hour non stop holding and cuddling mine, and then I'd take care of my own needs like showers and dinner. I think the most important thing is to have a stable routine which involves the cat. One of the biggest stressors for my cat is an unstable routine.
Another thing I love abou my Persian cat is that sometimes she doesn't want attention, only the company. So you could make it a routine to be studying or working on the computer and have a small blanket or a bed next to you just for that

@@RG-xi3jm Persian cats are long haired animals and they shed fur. Also, because of the flat face they get a lot of gunk around the eyes and it can drop around the house
Just because a cat doesn't want to learn tricks doesn't mean it's not intelligent. It just means they are smart enough to know doing tricks doesn't get them what they want

Thanks for the video. I had a tabby for years and she was so awesome so I was thinking about getting another cat. One of my options that I was strongly considering was a Persian because they are so beautiful. What I didn't know is that they are such a time-gobbler. With my cat, I could travel for a month and I could have someone come by once a week and change the litter box, put a bunch of food in a bowl, and water in the gallon container and she would be content until I got back from my business trip. Although I don't do that anymore, my personal commitments are more than they were then, and I don't think that I would want to spend all that time focusing my attention on my cat on a daily basis. Now that I know, I am certainly not buying a Persian Cat and if someone wants to give me one, I will absolutely tell them I don't have the time for a cat that requires an hour a day or more of my time.

I feel like I am the luckiest person in the world as I found a Persian fat cat in the trash can in my neighborhood. My mom was there with me and we fed it milk and some cat food. It became friendly with us especially me because I used to stroke it gently and pet it on my lap.
I own an English Bulldog, and a Pitbull. Snoring will never be an issue in my house, lol.

I have a 10 year old Himalayan Persian and I cannot imagine a life without Persian kitties anymore. I would have more but she hates other cats never socialized her but I'm going to adopt two at the same time next time around.
Edit. Funny I got to the hamster part and wow that explains why our hamster miss piggy and her were bff's the cat was like her guardian angel people would joke she's just watching her dinner but even when she died we buried her out back and for a week or two she would chill on top of the spot she was buried in.
I've had three silver persians and a beautiful tabby male. They were ALL great. I want an Exotic Shorthair next.
Get one . Especially a male . They are more mellow and very playful My Max follows me around my 4 Akers and he never leaves my side .
Max was a rescue. I foun him in the side of the road in the grass . I drove by him for 4 days and thought it was a rolled up tee shirt in the grass . On the 5th day i drove by it got up and moved . I freaked out and pulled over and got him in my car . Itook him home and fed him . He was dehydrated and well under weight . I took him to the vet and had him check out . We figure he was 6 or 7 months old but he only weighed 3 pounds . The vet said he will be fine when he gains some weight
He is 2 and a half and is a complete joy in my life . Im 64 and live by myself . He waches me work on my car and motorhome .

Got mine and totally loved it, however it was different than I imagine she was load even dogs pale before her, I though she was going to be lazy but he'll nah, whenever she sees a moving object specially feets whenever we walk, she hides behind a object where you can't visually see much and gets ready to jump at you and scare you ❤️

We had two cats living on our front porch, coyote ate one, the other instantly became an indoor-only cat, he's an orange tabby persian and is devoted to me and very happy.

Persian cats are perfect indoor pets given their timid nature, they are not fighters unlike most cat breeds which is why it plsses me off when a friend of mine let his girlfriend talk him into making his 7 month old cat an outdoor cat. It was dead within 2 days, even though the warning signs were there, first day it came back crying to get inside covered in wounds, but they didn't listen & the next day it was dead
The girlfriend was jealous of that cat.A Persia should always be supervised and always in a secured pet stroller.

I go to school at 6:am and come home and 2 pm or if its friday 1 pm im thinking of buying a persian they will not be alone since my mother loves cats so it wont be a problem and for the money part my parents are willing to get me a persian cats for any price whether expensive or cheap they always say that cats are priceless
that suuuucks, why does every pet I want has to visit the vet regularly? I'm overly calm so I feel like we'd vibe, but I know I wouldn't be able to afford the bills, but I know we'd be best budsss :(
Every pet needs a regular visit with vet. I assure you that. Take care of one when you're emotionally and financially ready. My monthly expense with my persian is same with having a baby 😅 Wasn't financially prepared but I could not afford leaving the cat. Just adopted it. They are sweet (sometimes) but it melts my heart when he's sick 😥😥😥
Snakes and most reptiles don’t need a lot of vet bills

Yeah cats don't like people coming to give them attention. From my experience of my cat and one's I had before they come to you when you are minding your business so do your own thing and let the cat make the first move. They will probably go to your sister 1st as they have bonded but when she is not around mind your own business as the cat will come to find someone.

Someone I know just got a male kitten from a reputed breeder for 1200 British pounds, like seriousely that much for a cat??. And that is before the monthly insurance and all the extra little doodads, I mean the cost of pets is just crazy nowadays.
@Pretty Boy tell me about it. Its ludicourous , they have special cat food cans which cost more than tinned tuna. Sheba or some such crap. Its highway robbery honestly.
Should I get a Persian cat if I: ?
- work outside home from 7am until 8pm
- Nowadays I may have lot of them to spend with Persian cat, but in the forthcoming year I will be back to work ( whole day work until night )
- Persian will mostly stay alone while i’m outside
