It's a megaparty with @ChrisRamsay52 @WesBarker and Justin Robert Young all in the same place. Chris shows off an incredible auditory hallucination using a wine glass. Try it yourself!

What a blast! Can’t wait fir the next one 😂
Be careful working with him Chris, he may accuse you of stealing one of his card effects.
I have had a chip on my shoulder about him since he did that to Disturbed Reality/Evan Cloyd. Reminiscent of the neck beard magician that gave both you and X crap for the tutorials on your channels. BTW, willing to tell me his name?
I only came here because I saw your name.
Love this collab 💩
@@John.Doe-OG Care to share any details on that wild accusation? From what I can see, Evan has been a known thief of many people for a long time, so someone saying he stole from them is highly likely to be true.
i have a trick that i think is 1 of a kind ive looked everywhere cant find it being done can i trade mark it.
This was a collab I was hoping for
Psychoacoustician here, just wanted to clarify some points: The sound never reflects and wraps around coming from your back. This illusion happens because of a few aspects which define our perception of sound.
First of all, because we have two ears, the brain resolves the horizontal direction of an arriving sound based on the difference in time in which a sound arrived from one ear to the other, and the difference in level between each ear. Now imagine for a second that we didn't have the pinna (the outer ear) and we just have two holes and a sphere as our head. With that, there is an entire cone around your head at which the time difference and level difference would be the same: This is called the cone of confusion.
Now, the pinna shape takes care of the vertical localisation; It filters out the sound in different ways, which the brain knows how to decode and tell us that the sound is coming from up/down and it also solves some of the front/back confusions.
The third thing which is important in solving the front/back confusions is vision. That's why when you close your eyes, the brain doesn't get all the cues necessary for front-back localisation. Now, in human evolution we didn't really need precise auditory localisation mechanisms for sound coming from front-below us as we barely ever use it, as we have the vision to take care of it. However, we did need precise localisation from behind as a defence mechanism (big animal from behind/fight-or-flight/etc.),
That's why, when you close your eyes and you have a sound coming from below, our brain would automatically place it at the back, as the time difference and level difference between the ears is 0, and the frequency filtering done by the pinna is roughly the same (including torso and shoulder reflections which would be very similar).
PS. There is another amazing trick which everyone can try. Get two loudspeakers, and instead of placing them at 60° in front of you, place them 180° apart, pointing straight towards your ears. Make sure you are positioned right in between them. Play some music. You will now hear that music coming from straight above you.
And it's all thanks to some olives lol
Well now, I was going to comment on this since I did a PhD that focused on the auditory front/back illusion (Wallach 1939, originally). But you've said about everything that needs to be said.
Also, have we met at a conference? :P
@@andymcl92 That is so cool! I'm so glad to see you here! Thank you for pointing out the paper, I was in fact not aware of it. I'm also submitting my thesis in 2 weeks, and I've done some work in concert hall acoustics perception.
Have you been to AES Milan, Dublin, York or ICAD 2019? I managed to attend these conferences before the plague hit and I couldn't get to any after, sice I was busy writing. But hope to see you at future conferences, our university will be hosting the AES Spatial and Immersive Conference in 2023. All the best!
@@BogdanBacila301 Unfortunately, I've moved on to CI healthcare so won't be at them. Think we may have missed each other by a couple of years. If you want the follow-up on the front/back illusion (with perhaps a more rigorous methodology), Brimijoin and Akeroyd
Amazing explanation! Well said! Thanks for the real reason it sounds like it's behind you. Now I gotta try this on my wife!
This is the collab I’ve been waiting for since a very long time!!
We've got more coming, too!
This is the collab of all time
Was literally about to comment this, I’ve been waiting since I was in middle school. I’m a senior In college now 😅
I know CZcams is pushing for more shorts...but I for one miss the full on videos. Always a treat when a new video is uploaded
Its always great to see SCAM NATION. Brian makes this show ROCK, and he kills me, with his laughs and craziness. This show wouldnt be the same without Brian.
Thanks for having a much respected man, Mr.Chris Ramsey.
Brian, dont wait so long to return.
Thank you,
Glen
Oh, man. Just off the top of my head there are a half dozen ways to convert this into a free beer. I hope there's a follow up to this where you mess with some people at the bar.
Dope crossover. I love Chris Ramsey. My daughter and I watch his puzzle solves all the time.
Love it, Chris and Brian in the same clip, more of the same please. 😀
Chris Ramsey - Wes Barker & Brian Brushwood finally together.
You were amazing on Chris channel. The alchemy continues on Scan Nation.
And what a great use of acoustic properties, amazing trick
Yessss I'm so happy you got to do a episode with Chris, Wes and their crew! They are amazing!!!
Yeah! BOBbers and BOBreons!
finally a chris ramsay and brian brushwood collab. My childhood magic heroes!
It's good to see Chris is tricks again, he inspired me to start doing magic tricks.
Please bring him back. He is a huge inspiration for me.
I love this and I can't wait to try it out!
Chris! We love you Wes!
I am so happy this finally happened! You guys are all awesome!
My dream collaboration 😍 I'm so glad I get to go back to magic youtube and get to start with my favorite magician
Two legends together! Super cool to see this!
Chris Ramsay rocks !!!
I am glad to see that this finally happened. Never thought the two would cross my feed.
Been watching Chris and Wes' channels for a long time now and I'd always hoped you guys would collab some day. I hope there's going to be more of this in the future.
What a legend.
A collab we've all been waiting for.
I love these recent collab videos with you and Chris! You guys work really well together!
Either I'm making this up in my head or I've got a good memory... I have a tiny recollection of Ramsay doing a VLOG at a Vegas magic convention YEARS ago and running into Brian while he was there for Defcon, and they agreed to do a collab all the way back then and it's just now come together... OR... I've like mixed up like five separate memories, people, years and locations and have completely fabricated this 😂😂😂
Oh man, I clicked on your channel because of your name hoping it would be something like that. I was not disappointed. AMAZING!
@@mattymediocrity8255
Ah that did happen. There was a video where they discussed wanting to do this at some point
Yeah, I like how both of them can still astonish each other despite both having bountiful knowledge on magic
I love Chris Ramsay. WHat an amazing collab
This looked so legitimate ! nice one !!
I remember watching scam school back when Brians hair was a bed of nails
what a colab!!!!!
This is a fun trick that is based fully in science. I love it!!!
Wowww that is amazing. I will have to test this out in a PK touches routine
I hope that Brian is as good a person as he seems to be. On a separate note though, I really enjoy this channel.
Legends are here 🙌
It's a great day when I get Chris Ramsey and Scam Nation in the same video! 🎩🐇♠️
yeahh new video
Great Trick!
I've always loved Brian, but I think he's a lot more likeable with the new hair. But I've been a huge fan for over ten years
Finally!
You need to see the Steve mould video where they flip your ears around.
Chris my man
Here since Brian had that spikes hair phase.
same here
nice
Another way this could be done is to have two people with glasses and have the guest try to guess which of the people made the noise; however, only have the person in front create any sound.
Seems like if a smoke detector runs low and beeps, if you have 5 smoke detectors in your house your not sure which one it is.
Love seeing Chris ramsay doing tutorials again.
More to come!
I’m doing this right now.
Never clicked faster
Hello there
The Yeezy's gotta go!
Does that factor have a less gross option like just meat lol I'm a meatgetarian
It works with planes too I would look up one direction for a plane then next thing I know I see the ass end of the plane
CHRIS RAMSAY
Do you pinkerswear
Based on the thumbnail I thought you were doing the trick where you catch coins from your elbow. If you're not familiar, start with a quarter. Hold your right hand near your right ear. Balance a quarter on your elbow. Now try to grab that quarter out of the air. It is MUCH easier than you expect. You should be able to do a small stack of coins with a small amount of practice and get up to a pretty big stack without too much trouble.
lol you're really new to this channel huh
@@tsvtsvtsv No. I've been watching for many years. But I've noticed a recent focus on short videos with these kinds of tricks. It's not a great trick, but it is the type they'd do for a quick video.
