Obi-Wan living rent free in sith's heads forever. Lol

Obi-Wan dancing in their heads.
Obi-wan’s ally is the high ground and a powerful ally it is. Sidious feared the high ground and right he was to fear it
shut up
Yes, please. Darth Sidius had the high ground in the Senate vs. Yoda. Moral authority is a point of view. Both retreated.
I agree. Papa palpatine feared the master of trolling and his command of the high ground
no you@@broosbit
Sidious does NOT fear the high ground man ; he took the high ground on Yoda in Revenge of the Sith ; using his Force Powers against Yoda!
"I fear no Obi Wan... but that Ben - it scares me."

Obi-Wan is the ultimate underdog. The man simply wins. Time and again when the odds were stacked against him he found the way to victory. He belongs right next to Vader and Mace and Dooku, even if he might not be as strong as some of them on paper
He’s a GOAT

No. He had the ultimate plot armor.
Darth Sidious underestimated both Yoda and Obi-Wan. By doing so, he created his own downfall. Had he killed all remaining Jedi, the next generation wouldn’t been a threat to his empire in both legends and canon.

I sometimes have this thought to myself. I think, man, Obi-Wan really is the glue that held this whole series and generations of characters together.
Being Qui-Gon's apprentice and having a link with Dooku through that. Training the chosen one, serving in the clone wars, fighting alongside Yoda, creating Darth Vader (physically) and then training Luke even through death and being the one to call to Anakin before his death so he could become a force ghost.
Dude's definitely the main character.

It says a lot about the Dark Side and how it effects the mind, that Palpatine could be so foolish when it came to Kenobi (especially when you consider how brilliant he normally is).
Luke to Sidious - "Your overconfidence is your weakness." Luke was right.
It's called poor and contrived writing.
Hello guys. Tyler, I am sorry but you are not correct here. Obi wan could have been destroyed if he attempted to arrest the Chancellor. You forget that Maul defeated Qui Gon and almost got obi wan. So if maul was that good, Palpatine was so much more powerful. Palpatine was not afraid of anyone. He was too powerful.
@@randalcook325 As Yoda told him, "Strong enough to defeat this Darth Sidious, you will never be".

Yes, Sidious grossly underestimated Obi Wans power, wisdom and balance in the light.
This would prove to be the perfect building blocks for Lukes tutoring into becoming a Jedi and we all know the rest 😏

Pallpatine was wrong all of his friends came through. I cannot believe what Han and Lando pulled off in RotJ. Everyone did it as a team!
Hard to believe you've done 3200 videos on Star Wars. And in a fairly short period of time. That's a LOT of writing and script recording. Bravo, man. Bravo.
And yet so little research, the vast majority of content is the same material rehashed over 3, 4, possibly even more videos
It's 20-30 minutes speaking a day, with a lot of filler, and most likely an editor
The tiny amount of research there might be, such as merely watching the shows, would generally fall under free time and as a coincidence
So no it's not a lot of writing and recording, it's actually an extremely minimal amount (over like 7-8 years at that)

Underrated comment
Palpatine and Kenobi's relationship, despite their lack of contact, is in my opinion the greatest indirect relationship of the whole series! It also highlights the quality that makes Obi-Wan Kenobi my favorite character; his perseverance. Great video!
The first half of this video only gave me the image of Sidious saying "Lord Vader, please shut the f*k up about Kenobi."
Palpatine thinking, "There would be no one left to be called Master but himself"
*Sad Vader weezing sounds*
obi-wan is a great example of how power can be beaten by clever/efficient use of less power
Kenobis genuine trust faith and connection with the light side of the force led him to be probably the best duelist ever if he could fully focus and fight with perfect balance. And still the force always guided him.
Gives obi an amazing new light on his character
that's it. no one was better in real combat, with a saber. NEVER LOST!
@@johncraftenworth7847 if you check oni wan on the legend books..he was an even more interesting character because he started as a rebel like anakin. Explaining why qui gon always felt obi was best suited to train anakin.
But qui gon was the best option. Qui gon in the books had a lover only duku knew of. And he lost her thus he embarked on a slight dark side path. Amazing character development he got
When Sidious saw what was left of Vader on Mustafar it shook him to his core and he became afraid of Kenobi. I don't care what anyone says Sidious feared Kenobi.
agree
If anything this would explain his absence in being on the death star in the first movie. Why would Palpatine risk his own hide just to see Alderaan blown up when he knows he's about to run into Ben.
Yoda knew much better though. He refused to let Obiwan go confront Sidious, warning him he was not ready for such an opponent. Yoda was the best bet in destroying Sidious, an even he fell short
@@frankdees507 Maybe. To me what really shook Sidious was what he had to have seen as the utter ruthlessness of leaving a maimed, burned, barely alive Vader for dead. Sidious preached that the battle isn't over until your opponent is dead. What Obi Wan did was probably being unmerciful even beyond a Sith's level.
Obi Wan will always DO WHAT HE MUST. It was anger over the betrayal and murder of Jedi and padawan learners, and yes there was pity. It was pity that stayed Obi Wan's hand and determined the ultimate fate of the galaxy. @@davidpaz9389
Obi Wan's greatest strength wasn't his abilities in the Force, or dedication to Jedi dogma, but a genuine faith in, and dedication to, the Force.
he was all dedicated to the Jedi dogma - althought I agree he had and utter dedication to the Light -, in such matter you must be confusing him with Qui Gon which followed not the Order but the will of the living force; and how many times the both clashed because of it, even with kenobi saying that Qui gon was not on the council because of it, as it mattered to Qui Gon.
he a better Qui Gon, alignment with the force balanced with duty to the world@@pedromiguelalmeida4446
Great show. I feel that Palpatine was so immersed in The Dark that his arrogance blinded him to the path the The Force had prepared for Obi-Wan. Similar to the way Yoda was actually blinded by The Light and could see Palpatine.
Basically he made the same mistake that Anakin did. He thought Obi-wan's power was so inferior that he wasn't even a threat. A miscalculation on both their parts.
I wouldn't say he was scared, but was extremely wary especially after losing two Apprentices (In Vader's case heavily crippled physically and mentally, leading to Palpatine to seek a new Apprentice) and General Grievous.
And Maul
Honor is why Obi-wan stood so resolute in the face of darkness. A lot of Obiwans success was from his training with Quigon. Obiwan unlocked god mode vs Vader then in his final battle he became a god
It’s actually poetic. What ultimately led to Sidious’ downfall, isn’t dissimilar from how the Jedi first fell. The Jedi were supremely confident and arrogant of their place in the universe. They wouldn’t even acknowledge the existence of the Sith at first.
Then Sidious, in his arrogance, deemed the remaining Jedi as no threat to his empire. Not even considering that just maybe, they too could hatch a plan while in hiding.
Balance to the force?
As someone who twitches when people bring up nonsensical George Lucas explanations; "It's like poetry, it rhymes"

Good on you for crediting the music used, used to support the artist ages ago and recognised the track and know they just ask for credit 👍
Emperor Palpetine on the thumbnail strongly resembles Snoke 😅
"Well hello there"
Palpatine couldn’t beat Yoda, Windu, or Kenobi 1v1. His victory was having an empire in between them.
What galaxy have you been living in? Palpatine did beat Yoda, did kill 3 master jedi before turning on Mace Windu and fighting him until anakin arrived, then manipulating the situation until anakin intervened and then Palpatine turned his full power on Mace killing him outright. As for kenobi, Palpatine didn't even worry about him. He was no threat to the Empire or Palpatine.
Palpatine would absolutely annihilate Obi-Wan. Yoda already stated Kenobi would be no match for Palpatine in ROTS, and Palpatine grew way more powerful after ROTS.
Prime Palpatine would also annihilate Mace and Yoda, though they were comparable to him in ROTS.
Sidious was stronger than them or Yoda would never had hidden to train Luke and finally beat Sidious like that.
@@randalcook325no Palpatine didn’t beat Yoda. At best for him it was a draw and only because Yoda fell after the explosion due to being on the edge. He walked Palpatine before that.
And Windu was going to cut off Palpatine’s head before Anakin stepped in to save his ass.
@paperplane-db8qf you may want to look up and find the interview with Lucas, the choreographer that did allnof those scenes a d Ian McDiarmid himself. They all three disagree with you 100%. Lucas wrote the damn scenes, I will go with Lucas and Ian McDiarmid about who won those fights. You sir are dead wrong. Don't believe me, look it up yourself. I did.
Not only is Obi Wan THAT GUY, the man didn’t even die until he himself allowed it.
Maybe just maybe deep down the Emperor thought deep down despite his arrogant bluster that it was possible Kenobi might win or sting him badly. Why risk it all?
Obi-wan really was knocking off all of Palpatine’s pawns 🤣🤣🤣
1:17 - ''No respect for Kenobi''
How this work with an earlier video you posted, titled "Why Obi-Wan Was One of the ONLY Jedi Palpatine Respected"
I think after mace making him a California raisin and almost getting beat by today he had his fill of 1 on 1
he has master the troll side of the force
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS
Cause Obi-Wan was him 😤
If Sidious had come after Kenobi personally, Kenobi would’ve stuck his LIGHTSABER in Sideous’ BUM-BUM!!
I think there might be another point to this argument. The only thing that Sidious feared was a Jedi led revolt against his rule, that is why he worked so hard to make them the enemies of the people of his empire. A man like Kenobi, a man who was "nothing special among the Jedi" could have inspired others to follow him. Like the Jedi heroes of the past, he could have rallied the galaxy, and that was something even a Sith feared. So many times, had a Jedi led the people against the Sith empire and won, and now, with only two, the Sith were easy targets.
The Sith always underestimate their opponent.
Palpatine saw Kenobi as threat, I don't care what anyone says.
won't admit it, but when the bully mocks the guy standing up to him and doesn't back up his words, or does nothing...that inaction says EVERYTHING
Obi-Wan may be a thorn but even a thorn can get infected
What I don't get is the fact that obi wan had very very little time with Luke. From saving him on Tatooine to the ride aboard the falcon, Obi Wan just did not have enough time to train or teach Luke much of anything, yet everyone is giving obi wan the credit for Luke's training. That is simply not the case
Thorn in Palp’s foot 😂
This is why Obi-Wan Kenobi is my favourite Jedi.
So funny, becuz Sidious called Yoda arrogant in Revenge of the Sith ; and now Palpatine seemed to be arrogant XD
Well, to be fair both of them were annoyingly arrogant
Obi-Wan's single greatest accomplishment was fooling the 2 sith into believing Anakin had no surviving offspring.
He could of prevented the fall of sith but his ego and arrogance stopped him killing Obi wan before he started Luke’s journey
It proves that Sidious is incompetent as he never seems to learn how to stop his underlings from failing!
Sidious never learns. How many times does he get defeated using Force lightening.😂😂😂
He is the master of trolling. Palps knows that Sith Lords are his specialty 😂
OBSESSION OVER HAM!!!! 😂😅
Still holding out hope that we'll see a Kenobi and Sidious interaction one day it doesn't even have to be a duel. They should have done it in the Kenobi show but i guess if they make season 2 there's still a chance. Watching Palpatine mock Obi-Wan about all his manipulation leading to the fall of the Jedi, the Republic and Anakin while Kenobi remains stoic in the face of the man who literally took everything from him would be among the greatest scenes in the entire franchise. Obviously this would end in another Kenobi and Vader duel probably their last before ANH.
It ended when Obi Wan's padawan learners, Luke and Anakin, ultimately worked together to kick his ass and send the Empire into a death spiral. Never stop fighting until the fight is done, Palpatine! He who laughs last...*laugh's best*
Obi Wan, especially by the time of RoS - since the Clone Wars stripped him of that bit of arrogance defeating Maul gave him, became what every Jedi was supposed to be - compassionate, humble, wise, open minded, patient, dedicated and hard working. Had the whole order been like him the Rule of 2 Sith would never have come to power.
He was almost a trully, the trully jedi, but the Order at the time was already corrupted by the same arrogance latter Sidious display and leads hin to die at the hands of Vader turned Anakin Again (don't give a f about the sequels, pure Disney trash)
Actually in the original script , George had it where the Emperor tries to off Obi-wan in his office . The fight ended with Obi-wan disarming Pap's and Pap's using force lighting as Kenobi blocked it with his lightsaber, Anakin felt the disturbance in the force, rushed to the apartment window to stop Pap's and Obi-wan. Anakin tells Kenobi to leave, end scene. George felt that obi-wan had too many duels for the movie, so Mace Windu was inserted for the arrest scene.
Just think. If Mace actually arrested him the Anakin wouldn’t have interfered. Mace went against the teachings which pushed Anakin away from the Jedi.
Awesome videos as usual. In the Kenobi series, Obi-Wan is tasked by Bail Organa with saving Leia. Did Sidious ever connect the dots and try to punish Bail? Take care.
I'm sure Palpatine would have lost to Larry in a dance-fight.
Obi wan would probably take sideous hands rendering him incapable of using force lighting which he loves so much maul and anakin were powerful and arrogant and he butchered them Palpatine would be so arrogant obi wan probably would dissect him
Midichlorian count doesn't count for much, Obi-Wan is indeed extremely powerful, but that's because he spent countless time honing his skill and practicing overcoming his weaknesses. There is a reason he was one of the most powerful Jedi
agree.
You do an Absolutely 💯 Amazing ✨
Job On These Videos 📀
👏🏽
Right you are you to fear the high ground
Palpatine kept leaving crumbs behind when it came to Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan took those crumbs and made a cake. 🎂 🥇💯🗿
Obi Wan trolled Palpatine so bad 😂
He saw him lost against Dooku and wasnt the first time.
Yet he took down Maul , Grevious and Vader , and ultimately Palpatine by training and projecting Luke , and was taken down with the doings of Luke and Anakin
He's great because he's not great. On paper compared to Anakin, Mace, Yoda, Dooku, etc. he has no talent. No one wanted him when it came time for Master's to choose a padawan. Qui Gon chose him because he is more in tune with the force and could sense the greatness in Obi Wan. He was so strong not because of talent but because he was smart and trained hard. He trained out all of his weakness, which is why he beat Anakin, the strongest force user of their time. Anakin had raw talent to compensate for his weaknesses, but Obi Wan couldn't rely on that. I've always like his style and how he was a master of the defensive lightsaber style. No talent, and a user of the weakest offensive lightsaber form, and look at what he was able to do. Man is a legend.
Styles make fights. Palpatine knew it was a bad look.
Uncle Ben vs Uncle Palps!
I can't help but think if Obi-wan and Palpatine faced off, Palpatine could be surprised by Obi-wan's resolve and get more irritated by how well he is handling himself. Probably the only way Obi-wan could win, however, is if Palpatine was weakened somehow.
Kenobi simply relies on the force when its most vital. Thus he always wins.
Palpatine ass was running the whole time 😂
Never underestimate the hardworking devoted but seemingly unextraordinary and constantly passed over for promotion middle management guy, theyre the ones while unnoticed and unappreciated are actually keeping the company running behind the scenes, and they are the ones who can bring the whole system down and drive business to a crashing halt if messed with the wrong way, obi wan embodies that competent and unassuming miiddle manager type to his core. Lol.
Just more evidence that Obi-Wan is one of the greatest Jedi to ever live. Strong in the force, Incredibly skilled with the lightsaber, Wise beyond his years, and unwavering faith in the light side.
"Why Obi-Wan Was One of the ONLY Jedi Palpatine Respected" is a video you did 3 months ago. I guess we can expect the same consistency from your channel as from the actual lore.
Obi wan is the ultimate chad of Star Wars
An odd but accurate way of looking at it, Obi-Wan was to Palpatine what Hobbits were to Sauron.
the man is walking foil
Palpatine crushes Kenobi
Sure, in a 1 on 1. But Palpy never bothered to tie up his loose ends and look where that got him. If he had bothered to kill Yoda and Obi-Wan straight away instead of half-assing it, Luke would never have had enough training to stay the course.
not in a straight up saber duel, however. Obi wan was never beaten in life or death saber duel combat, his weakness was overwhelming force power. But that's what he had Anakin for!@@wanderhillen2435

Accordingly to Yoda and Windu he was not a Soresu master. He was THE Soresu Master
@@pedromiguelalmeida4446 that is the point of my above post. Fully mastering Soresu would made that person on par Obi Wan. Also Obi Wan is an excellent jedi master.

This, is the way!?
It is not by physical strength that ascends a Jedi, but it is the mental strength. And Obi is EXCEPTIONALLY balanced
Though there was some logic in Palpatine’s think when comes to Obi-wan he largely wrong about him, he was serious threat to him. He killed Maul, he was training the chosen one, could have been the key to Dooku redeemption, then Luke train long term finally becoming a Force Ghost these are clear signs of true.
Palpatine saw power through the use of the Force, so he only valued or respected others who had strong power over the force.
Yet, even when the force warned him, he ignored it, because he viewed it as beneath him.
Obi-wan constantly surprised him, and defeated his apprentices, and yet he thought it was his apprentice's failure, because Obi-wan was nothing special in the use of the force.
Had he really taken heed of the danger Obi-Wan posed, he would have disposed of him, but then that would admit someone weak in the force to be a legitimate threat.
The Emperor was doomed from the start... but still had a good 20ish years as Emperor of the Galaxy.
Greatest Jedi: Kenobi, Quinlan Vos, Bultar Swan, Yoda, and Windu. Vos because he survived the Purge and Order 66. Swan: She is the only jedi outside of Kenobi post Order 66. But was murdered by a fellow jedi when her back was turned and could have a great warrior alongside of Kenobi and may have changed the entire saga if she wasnt killed by a Rogue Jedi. She who just defeated Vader and had him on his knees to surrender.Yet, whose only mistake was to not kill Anakin and ahered to the Jedi code when she had the chance to stop the Purge at that point in time.
Obi Wan defeated Maul as a Padawan, rivaled Dooku but couldn't beat him, killed Grievous, almost killed Anakin, and might had learned much from Yoda while they were in hiding. He disappeared and pretty much stopped interfering at some point. It's not fear, it's fear if what he could become if meddled with.
Obi-wan was hard countered once, outside of that one matchup, he was the most achieved lightsaber duelist out of everyone. Irrelevant that others were better, he did more it's as simple as that.

From the first Jedi to defeat a Sith in 1000 years…as a Padawan, to training Anakin to one of the greatest generals in the Clone Wars to defeating Darth Vader twice in Canon to training Luke to ultimately the combination of his 2 students defeating the Emperor and annihilating the Empire. Anakin and potentially Luke may have been the chosen ones, but ultimately it was Obi-wan’s guidance both directly and indirectly that led them to balancing the force
I am having a hard time swallowing that explanation. Sheev did not go after Obi-Wan because he needed to use him as a touchstone with keeping Anakin under his thrall. As long as Obi Wan lived, then Sheev can stoke Anakins hatred that blinded him. The man who was presumably the cause of Padme's death and disfigurement. The man that held him back from being granted full rank as a master (Anakin stated this in Episode 2). It was sheer luck that Obi Wan was nearly captured aboard the Death Star because this was not a part of the plan. It was Tarkin's decision to blow up Alderaan to punish Princess Leia that caused that showdown to happen. Kenobi was simply delivering the droids to her stepfather then returning to Tatooine. The planet was blown to smithereens and then Kenobi and Luke were caught in the tractor beam. The rest is history. I feel the moment Vader slayed Kenobi's human form, that Sheev started losing control. Learning his son was alive hastened Anakin's betrayal. The only reason Anakin did not strike the Emperor down was because Sheev still controlled his life support system. When Sheev tried to kill Luke, Anakin at that point had enough and sacrificed himself to save Luke. So in the grand scheme of things I believe killing Obi Wan was never Sheev Palpentine's plan. He had all the pieces where he needed them. As far as Yoda goes, I believe you are correct on Sheev's feelings about Yoda being impotent at this point and Sheev wanted to gloat over his win.
Kenobi is the GOAT
Obi wan is the Kakashi of star wars
the darkside told palpatine that obiwan had plot armor
I always wondered why Palpatine never kept Yoda's lightsaber in Canon and instead melted it down
after Obi Wan beat Darth Maul, Palpatine is not gonna take that risk before he mastered the techniques to physical immortality. There's an undefinable quality about Obi Wan, whether with mental chess or with his unmatched saber skills. Later went on to lead the completion of the Rogue One mission, sent Luke on the path to take out the Death Star and ultimately overthrow the Emperor. He wouldn't even have advised to go about how Luke did but somehow Obi Wan always knew Luke was the key. For decades he just felt it! When in tune with the Force, you know *without* knowing. A great leader and master puts students in a position to succeed and eventually surpass them. Did that with both Anakin and Luke. And ultimately, those are the two who did defeat the Emperor. Obi Wan's life and beyond life work!
Obi wan DOES WHAT HE MUST. Its tough to deal with that mentality.
Ben Kenobi is my favorite Jedi. Kenobi just got it done despite the circumstances.
Defeating maul, grievious and vader is no luck. That's the best resume any jedi can have. 😂
his students anakin and luke...ultimately pulled off what yoda and mace couldn't. The Emperor. Think about it. What kind of Grand Chessmaster can pull that off??

Pitiful little Ben
Sidious never intended to confront Yoda - he was always comfortable leaving the eradication of Jedi to the Order 66 programming in the clones & only sent Vader to make kills that support his voyage to the Darkside; killing children, killing the allies of his new master. Killing his old master was never on the agenda, just kill the kids & kill the people that “helped” Sidious' play. Kenobi was just another General that would be killed by his clones tropes & if surviving that would be hunted by Inquisitors provided that having Inquisitors was always part of the plan instead of just an adaptation from Order 66 not delivering the effectiveness rate that Palpatine had planned on.
