Many times watching a video the creator will do/add something “small” but it takes a long time to figure out what it was that they did. Really helpful showing the tools and fittings that were used at each step even if just a quick image of them. Thanks for the great videos!!
Why go along the wall with lines crossing over the electrical main panel? That just looks like bad practice. Could have easily run the lines a few feet away from the meter before crossing the room.
Just a dumb sparky here but isn’t that how you clearly identify hot and cold? I understand some just run white/clear and label them…again, call me a dumb sparky.
Do you find that using the pex connectors reduce water pressure? I bought Pex to redo my house but read the 1/2 is restricted due to the fittings. I bought 1/2 but seen somewhere you need to up it to 3/4 and then reduce it to the faucet. Thanks for your time.
It will restrict. Really depends on what your feeding. If there are two bathrooms you are running to id recommend running 3/4” and then branching to fixtures with 1/2”. This was for one bathroom only with about 5gpm used at any given time, so 1/2” is sufficient. Other things like pex to tub spout can be problematic with traditional fixtures from delta or moen.
I’m actually going to try out the PEX A system here maybe next project. Literally have 100s of comments from plumbers on it. All great reviews. Tool cost has come down a lot in last few years. I just need to switch and collect alll new fittings for it. I think a painful part about it is convenience and not being able to grab what I need at a local box store….I’d Have to order online or go to plumbing supply to get fittings
I love that you don’t only make video in modern houses. It’s nice to see a good quality video of the houses I run into.
I honestly can’t wait to build a new house 😆 so much easier than this stuff 👍
@@BathroomRemodelingTeacher haha I hear ya. I just replaced an outlet in my own home and not having to deal with any BX or K&T was refreshing.
You are one of the best guys out there making content on CZcams for plumbing.

Glad it helped. Yeah I’m trying to be as well quick and to the point. No one wants to hear about me or more backstory than needed 😆
Your local code allows you to run water lines that close to the electrical panel? Clean af per usual just curious though

Upnor way to go
Why did you run so close to the electrical panel ?
Very good. Not a fan of the look of red and blue pex but installation looks just fine.
I’ve plumbed hot water to a toilet before 😆 used to use all white pex. Now I don’t get confused 😆
@@BathroomRemodelingTeacher that would be nice in the winter..

I thought it's against code to have plumbing so many feet above the panel???
So does a handyman need a plumber's license in order to do a job
I have know idea where you live & what rules apply to you, sorry
I sure wish plumbing was that easy when I did it! 6 trips to Home Depot for last minor project!
Ahhh, the old knob and tube fittings the electrician was too lazy to remove.
What is your opinion on the pro pex tool and the difference between both options?

@@BathroomRemodelingTeacher I use pex B with stainless cinch rings, they are the best IMO
Why do you use so many 90s as opposed to just bending the pex into the right shape?
Trying to be neater looking. But yeah you can certainly do that 👍
