I throw alternating crosses with 20lb dumbbells. not for very long, like 3x10 on each side, but I'm extremely careful with it. It's completely transformed my upper body.
Incorrect Cory. You can use the 10lbs and interchangeably switch to 2-3lbs. A guy with a “petite” frame shouldn’t, but if you are a medium to large frame guy, it’s totally fine and you will have one punch knockout power. Plus you want to extend with these weights because if you do it like you say, you only exercising a certain muscle group and you will build up a lot of lactic acid fast during a fight. Where did you get your information bro?
I think moving around with them to helps. Just holding them and moving tryna keep them near ur face and obviously shadow boxing. But mainly tryna immolate someone throwing certain combos at me. So my hands r always moving. Which I feel just helps warm u up better than no weights. Obviously 2 pounders as well
Bruv what are you on about you should go to at least 5 if not 6 to 8 pounds this will not only raise your punching power but your speed as well stop spreading lies unless your fine with you current power which is weird you should want to raise your speed and strength but it is right to do under 10 minutes or 15 it doesn't hurt

I use 3-5 pound weights for 8 - 4 minute rounds with 40 seconds rest. Everyday. Boxers are different

More weight doesn't translate to striking. Use the same weight as your gloves weigh. You will get slower using more weight.
