Since the '80s when Ninjas were the in thing (remember Lee Van Cleef in The Master anyone)? Ninjutsu has always held a unique place in my heart. I think that we have been MMAed to saturation now, and so finding Shidoshi Sheriff and his astounding channel teaching the real deal Ninjutsu has been both highly refreshing and motivational. So a huge thank you to all for helping me believe in and love the 'art' along with the 'martial' 😊❤
Absolutely. But that day you have a wall blocking you from sprinting, or a bad/damaged foot that prevent you from sprint/jog/run.... Having options is a nice thing to have. :)
@@CrinosADnothing like the old boxe to open way like he's showing in the video. In traditional karate we are taught that there is only one prize in the streets: to be capable of going home by any means possible or necessary. No first, second or third place, arriving home is our medal.
@@AkbanOrgMy master always asked us to run 10 kilometers at least twice a week. He explained to us that it wasn't just about being in shape to fight, but because there would be days when we would have to run for our lives, and pray that others could only run 1 kilometer. Having grown up in a difficult neighborhood and also being part of a group of football ultras here in Europe when I was younger, I had many occasions where I had to flee from both the police and other groups. But like you said, sometimes there is no escape possible and on that day we must stand our ground. Learning how to properly fight is indeed the best defense possible.

I beg to differ. Running away from many opponents is possible if you are not close to them and they are slow.

Running is a great practice. But it is just one option in combat, and not the only one.
