Since I discovered avocado oil about 1 year ago, it has become my go to oil. All those health benefits are great, but I just really like it. I know fries are not the best thing to eat , but avocado oil makes the best fries, there's that high heat tolerance that allows me to make crispy, golden fries. Or hash browns.

I decided to give avocado oil a try for the first time after the AHA came out with their demonization of coconut oil. I must say I really like the taste and the fact it has a high smoke point making it very versatile. I'm not giving up on my og coconut oil however a little oil diversity doesn't hurt nobody

Do NOT keep your avocado oil in the fridge if you're going to cook with it. That should have been specified. It drastically lowers the smoking point and inreases the amount of smoke. As a dressing its fine cold but cook it at room temp. Trust me, don't learn the hard way.

An even better oil to fry in is beef tallow. And it’s not just fried food from fast food restaurants, it’s fried food from restaurants! If you are eating fried food from a deep fryer in a restaurant , from Burger King to a Michelin star restaurant, it’s been fried in inflammatory rancid poison seed oil like canola, cotton seed, corn oil or soybean oil.

My version of Italian dressing for example is avocado oil, garlic powder, basil, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper. Shake it up and pour liberally over romain. It's delicious and really satisfies.

I also LOVE and endorse Avocado oil! Grapeseed oil has also been a favorite one of mine that you haven't mentioned. It has a smoke point of 446 degrees and also doesn't interfere with taste when cooking. At least for my self and family! Sometimes when I use Coconut or Avocado oil, certain people sense a different taste and ask me what it is! Have you ever had people say they can taste these oils and if you have any ideas for these (what I call) ultra-sensitive taste bud people, what they can do to make it taste-less to any degree? Thanks!

i originally bought a bottle of avacado oil to cook my frozen veggies on the stove with, just in a frying pan on high heat and stirring them aroudn until they absorbed the oil and were cooked enough to eat.
But i sort of steered away from that and the avacado oil just sat on my shelf in the cabinet.
However, i have been taking greens powders with lots of vitamin a, k, and e - the fat soluble vitamins, so i decided to try using the avacado oil in my drinks - i use a mason jar and shake the powder with water until it dissolves, i now add 1 teaspoon of the avacado oil into my drinks and shake it up to enhance the absorption of the vitamins that are fat soluble, since i dont eat much fat anyway other than fish oil, which is low in fat.
I was just wondering if this is a good idea, or a bad idea?
According to the video, its a good idea, but i never hear him or anyone else mention the use of avacado oil in this regard - in a drink, that you drink lol
Anybody have any insight on this?
I am using a brand thats pretty cheaap on amazon, around 7 bucks for a bottle - it taste good in the drink, but i need to know i am not killing myself by consuming this oil this way.
    Thank in advance

Beef tallow is number one because of the great ratio of omega 3 to 6, high smoke point, taste. Don’t worry about the saturated fat lie, or the cholesterol lie. Our rapid replacement of seed oil for tallow corresponds with our rapid increase in metabolic health issues, diabetes, heart disease. Lard is the second choice but has a much worse omega 6 to 3 ratio than beef tallow.

I had high triglycerides(250), cholesterol(260) with a bad HDL to LDL ratio. Then I started taking these supplements - red yeast rice 1800 mg, omega 3 1500 mg and co q10 100 mg. Three to four months later my triglycerides (99), cholesterol (132) and a very good HLD to LDL ratio. I ate a little more healthier also, GOOD LUCK!

Dr. Axe, you should use coconut activated charcoal to whiten your teeth naturally. It is how people 100 years ago like my grandmother whitened her teeth naturally. 😁😁😁😁😁😁

Lots of cooking sprays and oils found in stores contain harmful ingredients and additives. If you want to learn more about cooking with different types of oils check out this article: draxe.com/nutrition/fats-and-oils/healthy-cooking-oils/?. Thanks for reaching out!
