You made it easy for me I have to face the dragon Now
thank you for this excellent and very helpful video. My inner CV is stuck in the trans. wont move. so now, due to your video, seeing as the inner CV is fine and just needs a clean and new grease, I understand how can use the old inner cup with the new axle I got minus the new inner cup. My problem is solved. So you have saved me from a lot more work. Thank you heaps.
Nice one Im stressed I need to bay cv joints for my Golf 6 gti and do them myself I have trip of about 600km to take so it need to be fixed
Using that brake cleaner on those sealed roller bearings probably seeped into them and softened the grease or made it contaminated. Will probably cause premature bearing wear now ?
1 of my bearings damaged but how you bearings come off so easy........?
How much grease was in that packet?
Hi changing the coil spring on my Audi Q3 DSG nearside the axle popped out of the inner cv housing
I had to cut the boot banding and rebuild the inner cv in position against the gearbox, on putting the Gator back on I couldn’t get any banding on due to space constraints
The online banding tools for the Gators won’t access the space to secure a new banding
Is there another type of Banding or tool that will fit the tight space to allow me to tighten it up?
Thank you
Andrew
