      God has said in the Quran:
      { O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - ( 2:21 )
      [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. ( 2:22 )
      And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. ( 2:23 )
      But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.( 2:24 )
      And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. ( 2:25 )

    Dude, get the breaks around your wrists. The correct ones. This will make your life so much easier because grabbing and swapping them always costs you that crucial second in at least half of all the take offs! And if don't manage to raise the wing like this because you stall it, you need longer break lines. That's the only drawback if you like the breaks very short.

    Wow. At some moments I would feel very uncomfortable :-). One question: Why don't you hold your toggles in the appropriate hands before and during launch? At some moments your glider seemed not in control, and during that moment you had to 'search' for your toggles. To me, and maybe for others here too, I think it's crucial to have them in your hands to avoid dangerous situations. But maybe it's the way to launch this type of EN-D class wing?

    • @hasidavid2
      @hasidavid2  Před 4 lety +5

      I get this a lot, it's just how I learnt to launch and am most comfortable with. The advantage is, that i can fully control both brakes individually during inflation, which is often key if the layout is not perfect or the winds are shifting. The obvious disadvantage is, that I have to switch the brakes when I turn around.

    • @teddyruxpin3811
      @teddyruxpin3811 Před 4 lety +18

      @@hasidavid2 No offense but I think you learned the wrong way... Try a different method of launching. Your method is dangerous. Your launches prove that. Those are some of the sketchiest launches from a D pilot I've ever seen.

    • @hasidavid2
      @hasidavid2  Před 4 lety +4

      @@teddyruxpin3811 In my opinion many of these launches wouldn't be possible with any other method. Also please elaborate WHY you think, my technique it is more dangerous, than any other?

    • @andyp2000
      @andyp2000 Před 4 lety +7

      @@hasidavid2 The technique being taught at least in some countries (and I was taught that 20 years ago) is that you already hold the breaks in the correct hands. You just have to learn that you have the hands reversed when doing the revers launch. I saw some school in Slovenia last year probably teaching 'your' method and I was really scared - the students lifted the canopy, turned round, dropped the breaks, frantically tried to find them again - and sometimes did not. This is asking for a problem.

    • @teddyruxpin3811
      @teddyruxpin3811 Před 4 lety +20

      @@hasidavid2 I'm not trying to belittle you or make fun of you. I'm really just trying to help because it's obvious your method is dangerous. I've seen too many of my friends die paragliding. Even though I don't know you, I still don't want another pilot to die from a preventable accident.

      The method you are using is dangerous for many reasons. You're standing on the side of cliffs and steep terrain. You're turning around fumbling around trying to grab for your brake handles. I already saw 1 line twist and 1 twisted brake in your videos. Yeah it'll work for you 99% of the time but under the right combination of mistakes your method could be deadly. What if you have a cravat on the left side that you don't notice and you turn around to grab your left brake but you can't reach it in time? Yeah you will probably be able to deal with it most of the time BUT it could be deadly under the wrong combination of circumstances. Also, at very windy or thermic launches, it's much better to have a firm hand on your brakes before you even get off the ground. Look at any pro and you'll never see them fumbling around looking for their brakes while they are launching, especially on sketchy launches like in your videos.
      Go practice ground handling with a different method. Yeah it'll feel really weird for the first few hours but trust me (and everyone else) it's way safer and you'll have more control once you master it. Just because your method may feel comfortable to you doesn't mean it's safe.
      Here's what I do for a reverse launch:
      Take one brake in each hand. Right hand grabs right brake, left hand grabs left brake so you don't have to do any switching later. Now lift up each A riser, one in each hand. Right hand goes to right A riser, left hand goes to left A riser. It'll look backwards and the lines will be crossed when doing a reverse launch but you already know that.
      If the right side of the wing is coming up faster than the left side, I will put both A risers into my left hand and brake a little with my right hand. But if that's not enough, I will drop my right A riser. That's probably hard to understand through text but just go out and try it for a few hours. It'll feel weird but force yourself to do it. You still have lots of control and you have many options... You can drop an A riser, you can grab it again, you can grab both A risers with one hand, you can even pump a brake while you are pulling up your A risers. And you still have both brakes in your hand. I really don't see a downside to it and I've practiced both methods.
      If you feel like you don't have as much control with the new method, then you aren't doing it right. Just keep practicing and you'll get it eventually.
      Good luck. Fly safe.
