My formula is simple so 2 rides a day only and each ride should be 1 hour simple..I'm always getting till 15 to 25% . Keep the car clean and smell good ( my car is a 2012 Mazda 3 ) and install sound deadener.. simple I have 30 days full time job and plus Uber 2 trip
The Four Rules of cherry-picking: - How far is the pickup? - How much do I get for mile? - How much time will it take? - The drop off location is good for business? ACCEPT A TRIP O LY IF THESE FOUR RULES ARE CHECKED! Thank you for your service Professor! 👏🏻 Great 2024 to everyone!
Yes. You can get a trip that is good on $ per mile, but terrible on $ per hour. And where is the destination? Is it in a high traffic area or not? That longer trip could be good on $ per mile and $ per hour, but terrible on destination location. If you are forced to drive back empty, all the other numbers get shot
This advice actually works, I increase my earnings by focusing on customer service, clean car all the time, knowing which area to focused on, stay near wealthy areas, don't stay at the airport waiting lot, only pick ride that worth the drive. I did all this and greatly increase my earning and they tip more.
I can vouch for tip #8. I had accepted a very short trip for about $4.67. It was an elderly woman. I helped her put her stuff in the SUV and helped take everything out. She gave me a $10 tip and said thank you for being a gentleman.
You are lucky, i once also helped an elderly disabled woman with her groceries, parked on the street, and helped her bring groceries to her apt on the 2nd floor , far from the street. NO tip.
❤ my 4th year solid. No new years eve drives in 5 new years. Amateur hour at best in any city. I started with TK and I'm in my new 2023 suv brand new. Privates are the only way to go. I keep a 5.0 with a 94 percent acceptance rate and a 1.5 - 2 5 cancel rate. Number 1 thing no fast food. Number 2 dress nice. Number 3 keep the vehicle clean. First impressions at the airport is everything. Convo at acceptable levels but know when to keep the mouth closed Happy Holidays everyone. And Thank you TK
Trip radar because no one else is taking them or it's going to a very bad customer other driver don't wanna to deal with. I know because I took them before when I first started uber few years ago
Typically I ignore trip radar, but then Uber just sends the exact same trip in as a regular trip offer, forcing me to decline it. Some trip radar can be good, but they are typically not good, especially if you have the destination filter set.
My 1 and only tip is stop driving for rideshare and do private rides or go do something else sign up for professors gig rocket and start really working for your self because you won't be happy and make the money till you do
So I’m in Chicago and I Cherri pick my butt off and my acceptance rate is at about 15% with a one percent cancellation every call that’s a worth about 10 or $11 on Uber is about a 20 to 30 minute trip anything above that is not worth it
I worked 5 hrs today and made 12 dollors, this ride was going 12 miles and pickup was 2 miles away. I know not worth it. But after this i received requests which are the following and was at the air lot for 2 hours straight in these 5 hrs. 9 miles to pick-up 5 miles to dropoff and fare is 7$. 10 miles to pick-up going 8 miles and pay was 10$, i work in Philadelphia suburbs and i am not rookie been doing it since 2013. So 11 years now.
Im a strong cherry 🍒 picker now my AR was about 70% but now its about 28% i avoid long trips im home relaxing on average 4hours earlier making the same money and for less miles!
Ive been doing Uber for 2 weeks here in orange county, ca and the long rides always pay less than a dollar per mile 🤬 wtf! And ive been getting 3.50 dollar request. Today i pickes up some sketchy dude with some weird ass cough for like 4 bucks 🤬 im forced to do mostly 5 dollar rides and pray passengers are nice and leave a tip, which most dont 😢
@NikoPaisa87 I never take trips to Chicago! The mileage ratio is awful! I receive at least one Chicago request a shift, and it is in the area of 35 miles for $25. Saw one on Lyft for 47 miles for $33.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the Ride Share community. We deeply appreciate it. 😊 Many blessings to you, & your family this Holiday Season 🎄🎁.
I take shared trips all of the time. The tip I can give is that if you do a shared trip you can choose the last destination and you will not get any more passengers in your car. Once the trip is done you can just go back online. As far as Trip Radar, in my area, the trips are pretty good, especially during events and at airports. I don't turn those down.
It's getting pretty hard in the DFW area. Cherry picking has got me to grossing anywhere from 12 to $15 an hour a day. So I blew the dust off the resume today. 😢
You the truth brudda! I’ve been driving for Uber since 2015 8 yrs now and everything this Man has said is on point!! Cherries only !!🍒 I’m cherry picking on instacart too. I’m in a electric car so I pay nothing to charge up this baby! Maximize your energy time and money!
In the Nashville market they don't even send x and comfort out, they send it STRAIGHT to trip radar and then dedicate it to a singular driver only if nobody takes it.
I also have planet fitness black card membership so I can go to any club. I recommend anybody to have a gym membership so they can go to any location and also have a set of clean clothes and their gym clothes and also shower gear so they could take a shower afterwards. I sometimes do that during slow periods.
Professer...Been watchin you for years. In San Antonio and been driving since 2017.Ive always been ahead or on par with all the youtubers. Id love to help pick brains
In 2024, the minimum payments will be even smaller. It wouldn’t surprise me to see fares as low as paying 50 cents. The direction Uber is going is certainly heading that way. Pay will get worse not better.
I just wanna say thank you for your time precious time Mr. Professor Rideshare. you are awesome sir I love you. I hope you can help me reactivate with Uber. I was Wrongfully deactivated by the reports of this riders after doing 25,000 trips in six months and maintaining zero cancellation 100% pick up rate and I’ve been out of job for about three years. Please help me it’s so frustrating SOS thank you
I drive here in LA and I get these kinda trips all the time... So annoying see this trips unless you're trying to hit the bonus rides but yeah not sure why they had to add the "exclusive" to most trips... I will be deleting this app at the end of this month and hope most drivers do as well
Dude LA is a horrible place to drive Uber. You really gotta pick your hour’s wisely. I live in San Diego and I talk to LA drivers all the time. I make the same amount as them within a 6-8 hr period while they r working almost untill the last minute.
The other day I accepted a $2.40 some odd cents and call the customer before I picked up the order and gave them a piece of my mind then I refuse to do the delivery and let the order hang in the balance. Then I called Uber and asked him if they're serious. All this got me was an increased cancellation rate
I seen this a lot in Florida for Uber and Lyft I stop taking shared ride from both of them I only now taking food delivery I have to Cherry picking them too. I almost have to apply for farm agriculture primit because I been picking too much cherry state agriculture department told me I reply to them it's food delivery not on a farm so they closed out the case and I have told that to Uber and I laughed at them
I was tip baited it last week and it really sucked. I hate it. They can take our tips from us. Up to an hour later This is criminal. Something should be done.
that $2.57 trip is an upside down trip. there is more time and miles to the pickup then there are on the trip. Im not going 8 minutes for free so i can get paid for 5. I refuse all trips that have more than 20% empty and unpaid miles. "Upside-down trips" is a term we need to discuss more in this industry.
Riders are confused on ride share. Most don't know you only get 2 minutes and I will cancel as soon it tells me I could. If I take a ride share I will turn off until I get close to dropping off. There is no way I am picking up another rider. Sometimes I show up for 1 seat and you have 2 to 3 people. There is no process on what to do when that happens.
I agree with all of these except for trip radar. I feel like you should take them if they work for you. That said, it does seem like a lot of them are either to the airport or the hood.
I go by the hour if I'm making 30 dollars a hour or more I don't pay attention to miles like one day I worked 10 hours and made over 400 and something on Uber X drive a malibu and ur right about the AR mines below 40% and that's what u got to do don't except them trash trips pick and choose u got to be smart I always get good tips also by by helping them unload there bags or helping with the Handicap Customers but right now it's kind of hard because uber is realy cutting the pay don't know if I will continue in the future....

Rideshare Professor you need to make a application so all the driver can sign it for a 1 dollar per mile and 45 cents per minute. And put it out there for every state , so we all can fight for our money together Nyc driver did this for 1 dollar per and 58 cent per minute and they got they money now it's our turn
Nice video, thanks 😊 I was banned from Uber for creating multiple accounts many years ago (I didn’t know better), and drive for Lyft for now. So when you said only accept better paying rides, will Lyft eventually kick you off platform for doing that? Another question- so you’re saying don’t use Prime feature as well?
You can't walk into any store, any restaurant not even a 99 cents store and buy anything for $2.57 so why would Uber or any customer think your supposed to bring them anything any amount of distance for anything less $10-$15...
I am interested in setting up a private business and wondering if your program u offer includes advice for people with cars? I have a 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid. Thanks
What's the cherry picking formula you use? I was totaling the minutes for pickup and drop off and then dividing by 2. If the fare was somewhere close to that number I'd take it. But ever since Uber instituted the Boost+ stuff I'm lucky if I get a fare that is 1/3 the of the drop off minutes and that's cherry picking. So for a total 2 minute pickup and 28 min drop off I was getting close to $15 but now I"m lucky if its $10. Also, I"ve noticed that I"m getting longer drives to pickups now. used to by 2-5 minutes now its like 8-12 minutes to pick up. What has uber done to the pay?
you can decline anything, i say pickup and then say they add 2-6 more stops i tell them i have to cancel the ride as i have schedule rides in 20 minutes and this ride was say 10 minutes now extended longer, unable to do it no way they know your telling the truth in app you get to the stop or before and cancel the ride.
I believe Dara K is getting a $50 million bonus if he keeps the market cap above $120 Billion for 90 days. Once this is ongoing we the drivers will continue to receive low pay as Uber will take their 60-70% cut. Uber is like any other company, it’s all about the investor. They will low pay the employees so the investors gets return on their investment.
I thought that Uber mentioned that if you were acceptance ratings drops below a certain number they will deactivate you? Is that still true or can we go back to Cherry picking because my acceptance rating currently sits at 77% and that’s because a lot of the trips that I decline are really really bad ones.
This is the reason Uber/lyft taking more from drivers. Cherry picking is why you full time drivers are getting FUBAR. I part time one week a month and in 5days make 1200 taking “almost” every ride. Yes 2 dollar ride is crazy but I’ll take $5 rides to get me into different area for good rides. These full time drivers are idiots and telling ppl to cherry pick this making Uber/lyft to raise their rates and drivers crying for what they did. Dont cherry pick as much as they say, you’ll make more $ guarantee.
If you take a $2.57 trip it means that you, your viehicle and your time is worth less than a bag of chips.
$6,50 would be a minimum to make minimum wage. Thats 6,50 x 4 Trips = $25 minus $10 car and gas cost = $15 per hour
Never take trash offers no matter what!!!!
Hard to cherrypick when 90% of offers are trash
Absolutely keep doing that never quit
i live in connecticut i make low pay 7 out of 10 trips
I'm।in New Jersey out of 10 I'm taking 1 only

The Four Rules of cherry-picking:
- How far is the pickup?
- How much do I get for mile?
- How much time will it take?
- The drop off location is good for business?
ACCEPT A TRIP O LY IF THESE FOUR RULES ARE CHECKED!
Thank you for your service Professor! 👏🏻
Great 2024 to everyone!
Yes. You can get a trip that is good on $ per mile, but terrible on $ per hour. And where is the destination? Is it in a high traffic area or not? That longer trip could be good on $ per mile and $ per hour, but terrible on destination location. If you are forced to drive back empty, all the other numbers get shot
That’s all good but for Uber in New Jersey … we don’t get upfront price or destination
I even check the rider ratings.
No way I’m taking someone with a 3.3 star rating 😂.

Exactly. Some riders expect you to do that for them with no tip.
Here in Alberta there's no upfront fare so hard to cherry pick. Uber won't show destinations.
Just give them a call..
Agree with you but the issue is that Uber now lowered the prices on top now they almost 75% of the ride

Trip Radar is also distracting and takes forever to load. I have always cherry-picked rides to avoid anything out of my jurisdiction.
Trip radar because no one else is taking them or it's going to a very bad customer other driver don't wanna to deal with. I know because I took them before when I first started uber few years ago
Sometimes it is loading for a long time because they are matching with another drivers. Those trip radar is a scam
Typically I ignore trip radar, but then Uber just sends the exact same trip in as a regular trip offer, forcing me to decline it. Some trip radar can be good, but they are typically not good, especially if you have the destination filter set.
