    I utilize a combination of private clients, Lyft black, Lyft/uber comfort and Uber X (only during surge) to monetize my empty miles between clients.
    I only accept rides to known places such as good hotels, restaurants and shopping to keep the quality of my passengers up. I cherry pick the riders out who don’t have a name or a rating below 4.9. My AR on Uber is 2% and Lyft 11% with high cancellation rates on both.

They charged the rider $140 i contacted support and they told me they changed everything now that they show us how much we are going to make upfront and if we are not happy then we shouldn’t take the ride. The same day i got an offer for $30 the route i was supposed to take was full of traffic so i went another way and i ended the trip faster they lowered my payment to $23 i contacted support again and they told me they showed me upfront based on time and miles and since i finished the trip faster they lower the payment i told them i accepted the upfront and if i shouldn’t care what riders are paying they shouldn’t care how fast i finish the trip. I was able to get $5 more but still the upfront fare was $30 and i ended up getting $28

    What they are doing as well if you keep declining offers, then you will receive less offers. If you do receive an offer more than likely its crap. So you can go 2, 3, even 4 hours without a trip.

    Depends on where one is and how one drives. I have a 93% acceptance rate but where I live most of the rides are at a minimum $4 less than 3miles or taking someone 12 miles to the airport for $15 minimum, $25-30 with reservation. Good $/mile is the key. The LA market seems to offer you all dog crap $/mile. Chicago seems to offer good $/mile on short to medium-range trips. At least to me.

    Do NOT do this if you drive full-time. Wait until the new update, it'll be faster to increase your AR and you'll be making 5% more on rides. It's better than nothing

    My Acceptance rate 13% here in Vegas…you must be crazy if I’m accepting some BS….drive 10 miles to pick up with a 10 mile drive for $8 bucks…you must be out your mind 😂
    I’m glad I’m not the only one cherry picking rides!

    I have a 65% acceptance rate on Lyft. I’m ok with the money I make. I mean it’s not great just ok. I don’t have the patience to sit around and decline hundreds of rides.

      Try mixing it up with taking rides and stay active but don't over do it. Try to discern the customers to see if some are willing to venmo you for a slight discount. For me almost all customers will give it to me directly. This seem to balance out my daily goal of $250, between 4-7 rides per day but mostly Uber. Lyft SUCKS.

    This is smart only if you're home doing something productive at the same time. But I wonder how many actually is able to do that... my guess is that the drivers are likely waiting somewhere, being online, and spending alot of time sitting and wasting time on the road doing nothing anyway.

    Can't wait for Uber/Lyft to implement the 85%+ acceptance rate to stay on the platform. That will get rid of all of you people. You signed up to provide rides for customers and you are failing to uphold your side of the deal. Go deliver pizzas or subs and get off the rideshare apps.

      Sorry Jack. We signed up to provide rides, not pay for them out of pocket. Plumbers signed up to fix toilets, electricians to fix AC's etc. Go tell them they have to take EVERY job that comes their way. Good Luck. Uber literally just sent out three contract agreements. Stated in ALL three; Drivers are independent business entities under neither the control nor direction of Uber. They've stated such before, but this time they added that they don't even have the right to attempt to. So doubtful they'll be any minimum ratings BS. They tried that previously and got shut down in court. Sorry.

      @lebedev_usa6459 Před 24 dny

      Well, these rides are just offers for independent contractors. Why would skilled professional in any field accept below-market offer? Hey, plumber, fix my pipe water leak for $30, I really need it now! Hey, auto-tech, replace transmission on my car, there are only 12 bolts, quick and easy! $150 I have! Hey truck driver, my cargo worth of $10k should be on the other coast this weekend - give you $250 CASH!!
      Accept it, you signed up! Click it and do it! Click now, think later, thanks, no tip today!
