Blazers got Ayton, Robert Williams, Brogdon, 2024 first round pick, two 2029 first round picks, and pick swaps in 2028 and 2030. Not a Portland fan, but that seems like a pretty good return to work with for setting up the future of the franchise💯

portland indeed got a haul. to think miami thought they had enough with tyler + 2nd round picks. after all this is said and done, portland will command more than 7 1st round picks for dame alone. you can easily flip anyton for 2-3 first rounders and timelord for another 2 1st rounders.

I did my own video on both the original trade and this part 2 trade (let's face it its the same trade, just a different part of the sequence) as I love giving my personal perspectives both as a Blazers fan and a basketball fan in general. And my main point of confusion is with regards to having both Rob Williams and DeAndre Ayton. Whether we successfully flip JG come the day the trade restriction of his lifts or not, I don't really see those two being able to adapt their games enough to play alongside each other. And if push comes to shove, I'd be puting DA at the 4 and RWIII at the 5 since it best fits their respective skill sets. Outside of that, I'm overall very content with this trade. I also think that Celtics fans are being way too hard on this trade and their current roster.

No interior defense and rebounder. Al Horford is aging. KP is questionable for his health from time to time. Lost Brogdon for the bench scorer. Grant gone for defense. The Celtics only gained perimeter defense and solid scoring with Jrue. Gained KP scoring ability. Lost a lot of defense and shooters. AD, Embiid, Bam, Giannis, Jokic are going to have a field day.

Portland is one of my favorite franchises because of the talents they have drafted, and their sick jerseys. Their franchise has just been cursed for so long. Hopefully, Scoot is able to turn this around, and the organization looks like they’re doing everything they can to build a great team around him.

I think exactly one person gets an F in this trade, and that's Pat Riley. I think he got high on his own supply with everything fans were saying about him, and he didn't put the full extra effort in to try and get the deal done, even if it took a four team deal or something. At the end of the day, you couldn't quite match Jrue Holiday due to what you got for it. However, I don't think he tried as far as he could.
Blazers managed to trade Dame and actually get substantially better from it. Crazy moves. I wouldnt be surprised if they make all kinds of noise in this upcoming season. Nevermind a few yrs down the road.

Won’t be surprised if they trade Brogdon to a real contender. They’re barely a top 10 team in the West. They’re not getting anywhere near that 8th seed.
