The KD cycle
1. KD joins a team
2. The said team trades for a 3rd star
3. KD & star players gets injured
4. KD gets frustrated and sends twitter fingers
5. Team underperforms
6. KD requests trade
How to poison a team in 6 steps.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
This “cycle” happened just in the Nets
Kd cycle: Kd balls out, has an injury, comes back magically the other stars get injured like clockwork and he’s stuck at 34-36 years old by himself carrying a team that has no depth. Media makes up narratives about him wanting to leave and boom.
@@federicomontiofficial people be too quick to hate, he got traded to this team by the way not signed, an it was mid season like they expect immediate team chemistry 🤦🏾♂️ team keep getting injured that ain’t his fault
Honestly, watching what has happened with Durant, just goes to show that Westbrook wasn't the ONLY reason they failed in OKC.
You can’t win a chip expecting Russ and KD to do all the work while the rest of the team fails to contribute on either side of the floor.
Jamesn Harden was there too

That’ll be a vibe. 🤣🤣🤣

Casual
@@Glitch47278That “he makes his teammates better” narrative been debunked that’s not true. That’s why 140 players and counting have been traded from Lebron lead teams
I think their main mistake was giving cp3 too huge of a contract then trading him away. cp3 was the reason why they were able to make to the finals in 2021 as he was able to facilitate the ball and make plays for ayton and booker. but now that he is gone booker is now the main player which is a huge downgrade.
No they made the finals bc the west was littered with injured teams. CP3 never made the finals in his life until lakers were injured, nuggets injured, clippers injured, no warriors. That team was overrated in 2021. CP3 was unavailable last post season in typical fashion.
@@2cents250every team he's been traded to their winning percentage has gone up. Houston, Okc, LA, Phoenix,

I can understand where you're coming from, but the main caveat to keep in mind is the source of the reports - I would completely disregard a random talking head at Fox Sports who's speculating on live TV like Skip Bayless, but I'll definitely listen when Woj (the most respected and well-informed news breaker for the league along with Shams) reports on a story as was the case here.
They gutted that team for one player. All because they panicked while everyone was hurt smh
Gutted=2 players one an expiring coming off a patched up mcl lol
They didn't git the team for a single player. They gutted the team for many players because Ayton wasn't improving and was unhappy, Cp3 is just old and pulled a hammy every playoff run, and because KD was available

@@bwanimations7130 and what does that have to do with the curent depth on the team at the current moment? You really thought u were cooking with that nonsense?
Why did they get rid of the coach? It wasn't his fault the team only had 4 players.
Suns management should not have gave up after losing to the Champions of the NBA, there was nothing wrong with that. They got mad and made dumb choice.
New owner wants his pieces
03:25 Ayton must of been a problem in college because it genuinely shocks me that he was drafted number 1. Lol imagine passing up on SGA, Luka, Trae, JJJ.
He was pretty good honestly and had smooth footwork for a big man. But the NBA consistently gets caught up in the "Big Man" obsession.
There were times he was inconsistent or just frustrated the hell outta you … him quitting or giving up on his teammates in game 6 on last seasons playoffs is all you need to know… it was best for both parties to go separate ways
He wasn’t that good. I said from the beginning not picking Luka number 1 would be one of the biggest mistakes in nba history. Imagine Luka on a Rookie contract with Booker and all your trade assets. They’d be winning titles
Anyone notice that most offensive Heavy minded teams with no depth and poor defense never win rings. This is why I never blamed lebron for losing , it’s a team sport , the reason the spurs and heat big 3’s worked is because they both ranked top 5 in defense and had bench depth. Even when the warriors won the first 2 rings were top 5 in defense. Point is getting multiple stars on the same team hardly equals a ring.
You said it!!!! And I would add on. For some reason, the players think it's a " create your own team" on madden or 2K. They throw the fundamentals and chemistry out the window and think they have a championship team. Lbj had SIX frickin all stars on ONE team and did jack sh*t with it😂😂😂. I hope once lbj, k.d. and harden retire, teams will get back to developing teams instead of throwing money at superstars that eat up cap space, then get mad when the team can't afford the helor depth needed to go on a run.
It’s a jigsaw 🧩. Can’t put pieces that don’t fit the puzzle. Even Jordan had to swallow his ego and kick it to Kerr.
correct. Especially the Warriosdamn near had a playoff team on the bench. There was literally no dropoff when they came in, and they often extended the lead.
@@dickchainy1420when did he have 6 all stars? The only team to have an all star line up was kd GS. even they only had 4 all stars I think.
Nah lebron is usually the reason he loses in the finals. Only the 2007 finals he has an excuse
I know many people dislike Kd but Kd is the only superstar on the Suns playing every game. KD is worse position than he was on the nets.
Kevin Durant needs to be around a really defensively sound team to be successful.
You can say that pretty much about anyone.
I’ll take him on the Knicks
Pelicans….??
2018 the warriors were 11th in defense and they still won the championship, so not exactly.
Nah he just needs a solid point and big.. not no Russ book or harden, and tbf he never was on a defense team
I think giving up the future for win now hurts the team and ownership. The team the star is treated to will look drastically different at giving up the farm and future. The GM loses their future picks. How often does this work and how often does it fail?
Did he say 2031???! My lord...

With every failed super team, Lebron looks even better for what he did in Miami and then returning to Cleveland with Irving/Love and again in LA with Davis. The criticism, especially with Miami, has always been "its easy when you select a team with multiple all stars". Well maybe not. Steph deserves some credit too, when Durant joined, they took full advantage of it. All time greats find a way to make it work. There's a difference between Lebron/Steph and Durant. The first two are legends. I'm a Celtics fan by the way so I've unfortunately got see their greatness against my own team on the biggest stage

Not really. It’s about fitment more than talent. Lebron on Miami and KD on Warriors just fit. Each star player had their own different play style that complemented eachother
@@Lawranceinseinif someone can’t “fit” are they really as good as we think they are.
Bron literally just had a failed super team of astronomical propositions a little over a year ago with Russ and AD. The biggest difference in Miami and Cleveland was for a majority of the time Wade & Bosh and Love and Kyrie were healthy. KD has barely played with his full superteams outside of GSW. So I can't really say Bron looks better, because when AD ain't healthy the Lakers have been trash too. So a lot of this have nothing to do with "making it work" and more to do with availability.
Beal's health makes matters worse than they are.
Yeah but he won't be the difference from being poor to quality
You mean laziness lol dude taking 2 years off you’re gullible
You know if Kevin Durant left in free agency instead of constantly demanding trades in the middle of a contract, maybe the team he ends up going to would be in a better position to surround him with talent in the future. The one time he left in free agency instead of being traded for the entire future of a team he won championships with the Warriors.
@@seeqayyup, you're right. This clown don't know what he's talking about😂😂😂
The saddest part of Ayton over Luka was their new coach at the time, Igor Kokoskov, had coached Luka on the Slovenian national team and it seemed they were destined to pick him.
Even sadder is Ayton’s 1st playoff performance he put up Kareem numbers with multiple 20-20’s and 70%+ FG% and he was a double double machine in the regular season but got exposed by Giannis in The Finals and never had an Embiid or Giannis style statement game in the regular season.
Also when given the chance to carry the team with Book/CP3/Ayton out Bridges never put up a 45pt game like he did his 1st game in Brooklyn. Now with how bad they are holding 4th quarter leads boy do they miss his endurance and D 😢
in Ayton defense it was bad coaching why tf are you making Ayton 1v1 Giannis is insane
KD should of just stayed with the Warriors tbh. He'd had probably 3 or 4 rings maybe even more by now. Steph could use him right now because Klay's up and down and only a shell of himself. Warriors could of let Draymond walk and they'd have cap space to keep KD.

I think losing Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson were huge losses for this team. Just imagine the suns with those two players back. They have two young players who play hard defense, can facilitate the ball well and score too. They would be one of top teams for sure
Great trade for Toronto in my opinion siakem should definitely be the next domino to fall get some draft capital and a couple young players and The rebuild is done without the tanking be able to transition into the Scotty Barnes era. I believe ( don't hate me for this ) that Emmanuel is actually better then R.J and will probably show it in a bigger role. Plus letting vanvleet go for free makes a little more sense to me if they had a deal like this already planned. The Knicks however gave up alot but I'm sure they probably had to outbid some teams, seing that almost half the league has been interested in him. I don't think they moved the needle much with there ceiling still being a #4 seed in the east. It does fill there defensive holes at the same time I'm scard to see how bad their bench will be now. Resigning OG will keep a valuable asset on the team and they still can trade Randle some draft pics and maybe grimes to be able to bring in some talent. A grade Toronto B- for Knicks. Both teams are probably not done making moves that'll explain why the trade happened so soon 🕊️
Booker and Beal are way too similar. The suns should’ve went after siakam and probably could’ve pulled it off…
would've been a way better choice since Siakam can play small ball center. Suns now have no flexibility at all

Its hard to root for players like KD, James Harden, Lebron etc.. because they represent the era of teamstacking and spoiled superstars who jump ship at the first sign of things not going their way. Im so glad their era is coming to an end. New and better rules, no more ticky-tack fouls, less superstar privileges, more teamwork, defense is making a comeback, more parity, better balance though out the league and among starters, up and coming young stars, more international stars, etc. The NBA is changing for the better and its actually watchable again.
Add Kyrie Irving to that list too. Most of these guys except for Lebron have been exposed when they joined the nets and demanded a trade from there too. They need everything to be perfectly set up, they can’t handle adversity.
As a Nets fan, KD’s best chance was in Brooklyn.

The success of Kings after getting Sabonis, and Timberwolves after getting Gobert, proves that getting a top level player to compliments your existing star is the most important thing.
Suns should have had a roster of Durant and Booker and traded Ayton (who was disgruntled) for depth and defense.

Nah what the pistons are doing is generational no other team like them 🔥

Been saying it since almost the start of his career, most overrated player in the league. Kevin can't do nothing to win a championship, him walking away from GS may have well been his retirement from the league, cause he wasn't going to win another one after that... He can put up numbers, but he can't get a team to gel for a championship run. Always was and always will be a great 2nd or 3rd option, but never a team leader.
He is definitely overrated. Partially agree though, most overrated players ever would be Lebron, Harden then KD. What all them have in common, they are not real leaders and they are soft. And you are right. He is a glorified role player. He f-ed up royally leaving Golden State. And f-ed up some more leaving the Nets.
Yeah.. Kd took advantage prime Steph and Klay's gravity that time.. and granting he has High forwards like Iggy and Dray, that made his job alot easier which is to score.. Especially on those times that the league doesn't have an answer yet with the Dubs 3-ball.

I never thought the KD trade would work to well, as you traded talented Young up and coming Depth for an Ageing Superstar...Then they leveraged the Future again to bring in Beal, now it's still early and on the 1st Season but Booker/KD/Beal can't seem to get on the court together...

Sorry bruh but KD no longer top 5
You had to bench Ayton bc he doesn’t care about winning and you cannot rely on CP3 in the post season. This team has a chance and needs to get it together. Ayton’s replacements are better than him. Look at Portland.
@@redtaipeihe is def top 5 😂
@@redtaipei any given night he the best in the league. That’s still the Slim Reaper. Best scorer we ever seen and this is one of his most efficient years yet
@@2cents250 true but I feel like Aytons situation could have been salvaged. Sounds like he was a diva and petty through a lot of it but the right ppl in his corner and some maturation could have changed that. Given Chris Paul’s injury history, should have kept Payne or another good backup and reserved Chris or put him on minute restrictions for the post season. They do have time to turn it around but they need to make some adjustments with the roster for sure
More respect to LeBron. Everywhere he goes he gets a Championship
Man all the talent in the world and still need to to team up with everybody jordan kobe i love yall even more 💯 ❤
133 mil for Ayton? Jesus bro.... fk that.
You cant expect 3 25pt+ per game players to play well together with 1 ball
Lol Bismack clapping his hands supporting the coaches hoping he can stay on one team for once in his life
If Pelinka trades all that depth for KD I'll lose my shit. 🤦♂️
You can tell this franchise wasn't used to winning because of how they got rid of their young core for a legend but aging superstar. Ayton had the talent but work ethic was exposed.
I love how people who thought this would work are now backtracking. Predictions do go wrong. However, people didn't see this coming? An older injury-prone Durant, same with Beal and no bench. Great recipe.
I’m from California and I’m still so sick of seeing every “mock” trade, “potential” trade etc etc involving the lakers…
"I"m a long term thinker" Proceeds to throw every draft pick under the sun to sign players
Its amazing to me how people generally always want to blame *1* player for winning and losing.
It makes zero sense.
Thanks!
Sound like the Durant effect for the team and the Kardashion effect for Booker.
As Lakers fan, I hate this time period of the NBA trade-wise every single day. There's a new trade possibility with the Lakers but come on they're not treating him to the lakers
great video, earned a sub
*Suns need a tough hardnosed no-nonsense locker room leader right now*
The suns traded Paul and that was the end of that team. The man glued that squad together
That man thick as a snicker bar
I’ve been saying we gave up way too much for Kevin Durant
He can score, just
K.an't
D.efend
😂
Hey KD!
Don't you regret not joining the kniiiicks!
Like Charles said. There’s a difference between bus drivers and bus riders
So basically KD os just gonna go hop around for the rest of his career, joining good teams, ruining their roster/culture, getting mad quickly that the team suddenly has issues since his arrival, requesting a trade elsewhere and repeating the process with some other gullible team. By far the least inspiring excuse for a "generational talent" ever. I mean, LeBron may be a disloyal ring-chasing coward, but at least he always plays out his contract before leaving.
Durant is a glorified role player. Without steph, he has 0 rings. He just needs to accept that he isn’t the man
