Hi!
Thank you for checking out one more project of mine. Hope you like this one! Full build plans, parts and tools lists are located in the next steps!
This time I decided to make a non-battery powered speaker that would mostly be used in my living room. I went for veneered sides and a faux leather wrapped front panel. To my eyes and ears the speaker turned out great. I really dig the wood-leather design that got me inspired when I saw the Focal Aria 906's.
Thanks for watching!

Nice design evolution/variation of the mk boom. Love the leather. I always thought these need small legs rather than rubber nubs. Gorgeous work!
Totally agree! Thank you a lot!
The craftmanship is amazing! Keep up the good work 👍❤
What an awesome build, thank you for sharing!
Thank you!
Workmanship is top notch
Thank you!
Hi Donny, very nice build! Question regarding the remote control: Does it work through the plexi at the backside of the box? I finished my first boombox last week, using the Arylic Up2stream Amp 2.1 board. The board has a 9pin breakout connector where you can connect an external IR sensor. I used a standard LED-shaped one with 38kHz 940nm and put it in the front panel. Works perfectly.
Hi! Thank you! Glad you liked the video.
Yup, the remote does work through the plexiglass. Though I didn't check on how far the remote can still work.
Seeing you can always warp the enclosure with leathers perfectly, that blown me away
Beautiful. I'd prefer the tweeters to be on opposite sides and far apart though, so as not to lose the stereo separation.
Bluetooth does transmit stereo does it?
@@jimsdad3739 yes it does
It is a mono bluetooth reciever:
8:58
@@OmerTheGreatOne Up2Stream Amps are capable of both Mono and Stereo. This could easily be made stereo and only difference would be making a pair of crossovers and few more cables. I'm not sure one on video is mono tho, part list shows 2 crossovers so that could mean this is actually stereo setup.
you will never get stereo out of 1 small box. Maybe if you tape it to your face..
Nice job! :)
2:50 Correct use of a hole saw...drill from each side to prevent tear-out.
I like that leather look for the front. It really gives the whole thing a professional standard look.
Thank you a lot!
Thank you for the video, shows how to make and decorate the speaker boxes in detail.
Couldn't find the schematics following the link. Another thing, for a stereo speaker it is a bad idea to place tweeters one right next to the other, this way there will be no stereo effect.
This is a pretty neat little speaker build! One of the best ones I've seen. Good job.
Only thing I might have done is added a battery pack, so you're not tethered to a 24V DC power supply.
Thank you!
I did consider adding a battery pack to make it portable but since my intention was to only use it inside, powering it with a 24V supply is convenient enough. It also saves some space and overall dimensions without the battery pack.
@@DonnyTerek you could do what I did . By using my 18v cordless drill battery externally via a 3d printed battery adaptor ( plenty of choice for most popular brands) use an in-line fuse & terminate lead with your specific power plug. & Job done it's portable, you will lose a little output power due to the lower 18vdc input.
@@idrisjones1453 That is a really good idea. Being able to use a single battery pack for other devices other than power tools is great. The speaker would look a bit bulky with the battery on the outside but at least it would be portable.
@@DonnyTerek you can make a flat little space on the back for a flat battery pack, it is not that much effort. look at the soundboks (GO)
Beautiful! Beautiful project, beautiful result and beautiful video. Well done.
Damn, this was beautifully handcrafted, you should start making these for sale.
Thank you a lot! Will try making a few more in the near future.
I also agree friend, This was amazing!😍👏👏
Very nice! You are a great cabinet maker. As always, patience is a virtue!
Thank you very much!
Vídeo extremamente satisfatório. Parabéns pelo projeto...
Thank you!
You do this job very well, perfect
Thank you!
Beautifully done two channel boombox not Stereo no space between left and right speakers !
Love from India 🇮🇳😉
Thank you!
Hi
@@DonnyTerek hi
Hello
Those two tweeters in the middle don't give wide stereo, but great build as always 👍
They dont give stereo at all
Thanks!
The speaker does sound great as a center speaker as I intended it to be. I could have mounted the tweeters on the sides of the panel but did not want to keep a blank space where the amplifier goes 😄
@@DonnyTerek If you are using it to play a single channel, as in a center channel, using two tweeters and two midranges does not make sense. A single tweeter and a single midrange would sound much better.
Not only that. I don't think this guy heard of comb filtering. Good build though.

Love the speaker and your work...attention to those little details...awesome. You really inspire me.
Thank you so much! Truly appreciated.
Молодец! Работа которая стоит уважения!
Thank you!
Seriously classy job Donny. Enjoyed watching you build it.
Thank you very much! Glad to see you enjoyed it.
A perfect example of superb creativity...nice sound machine. Love you from India 🇮🇳 ... thanks
Thank you so much!
Great job, as always! 💪🏻
Thanks! Appreciate that!
Great job, but you already know that!
Love the way it looks and with 100 watts I'm sure it sounds nice too
Jack SPeaker tv

Dam! even through my tv, this sounded amazing. The bass sooo good to the ears, no distortion, sharp and strong, just beautiful.
Thanks!
Parabéns, belo trabalho e ensinamento. Obrigado. Robertson (Brasil)
Thank you very much!
Only....Perfect Work
The speaker sounds very clear and balanced, it also looks good. Good job!
Thank you!

Good investment

Thank you so much!
Should have got myself this camera a long time ago.
Welcome!
Hello Donny, very nice build, but I wonder, do I have to use the expensive Up2Stream Amplifier Board or can I use the AIYIMA TPA3116 ?
Hi, thanks! You can definitely go without the Up2Stream board, even though it is a great amplifier board with BT and WiFi connectivity. I'd recommend you go with this amp if you're looking for a simpler option: bit.ly/3qjMpJV
Excellent beautiful finished.
But: for any modern sound box or speaker cabinet, it's not compulsory, but it's much better to have atleast two bass boosting passive radiators of the same diameter of the woofers fitted.
Awesome Video Donny! We love your speakers!
Thank you so much! Kindly appreciated!
Гениально!
wow ~ 멋진데 ! 이쁘고 소리도 강력하고 ! 수고하셨습니다.
Thank you!
Amazing!! Well done!!! 🙂
Thank you! 😊
Superb quality and workmanship. Speechless.
Thank you so much!
This is not a DIY. This is Art.
Thanks!!
Hermoso trabajo, gracias !!!
Thanks!
the title of this video should be how to paste and wrapped 5he wood for the proposed speaker..,😅😂
The most satisfying speaker diy video
Thank you!
Excelente trabajo!
Podrías indicar cómo se realizan las conexiones del amplificador con los altavoces a través de los crossovers y también cómo se conectan los tweeters. Muchas gracias por anticipado.
Hello, thank you! Had to google translate your comment. The connections are really simple: amplifier-crossover-tweeter and woofer . I recommend you also check my Instructables post in the description.
Really best good working speaker bt diy kit.
Perfect 👍
Stereo one speaker. 🤣
Maybe a quadraphony?
Will sound like mono speakers as the tweeters are very close to each other. Stereo imaging is about separation of left and right speakers.
Sensacional muito top 👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 quero uma dessas 😂
How nice..... that was very satisfying.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
Sir You are best Amplifier makers please MAKE BUDGET speaker box
Thank you! Will try soon.
Muito top! Feito com todo cuidado, dá até vontade de fazer também! Parabéns pelo trabalho!
Thank you!
Great job! With all that work I probably would’ve sprung on better drivers. Also countersinking the plexiglass in the back would’ve been a nice look.
Thank you! Did not want the build to go over the roof with the price of more expensive drivers.
Daytons stuff isn't too bad tbf
Heard some fairly high end sounding systems using Dayton drivers... At the end of the day the amps crossovers and box design play a massive role in a speakers sound
Really cute system
Amazing build!
Thanks mate!
Its Amazing, great job!!! Bro ✌️
Thank you so much!
I always get some relax when I was watching videos like this great job dude take it personally because I didn't like it's really looking impressive and I bet you spend lot of time to build it 👊😎 so keep going forward with it
This talent deserves more than 10million views 🙌💯 amazing work man iam gonna do this soon 😊❤️
Wow, thanks! Best of luck on your build!
Exelente proyecto tendrás las medidas
doing kind of a wacky bluetooth speaker build out of one of those old massive lense flashlights with a single 5.25” coaxial. looking for a simple 25-30w mono w/ bluetooth capabilities. any recommendations on where to find an amp board?
Well done!
Thanks!
Gorgeous. Just mesmerizing👏
Thank you!
A lovely piece of work.
Thank you!
Beautiful, great video. Great build
Thank you very much!
Do you have a link for the vinyl you used?
hi Donny, i m really interested in making this speaker, but wanna use a setup that utilises 6inch wooferx2 , 3inch midrangex3 , and 1inch tweeterx2 with a continuos 120 w power output. with a similar amplifier like u have used , but with my specification. can u help me with the cabinet dimensions and its port dimensions?
Hello bro love from India
it's just a miracle, I also do acoustics in style DIY)))
Thank you friend!
Looks like a center speaker for home cinema
awesome work by the way! that thing is a work of art
Thank you very much!
Как все сделано четко и аккуратно!
Very nice make.what is the size of the cabinet.very impressive
Thank you, you can find the build plans in the description with dimensions.
Really awesome job! Did a similar project and included a battery pack so i can charge and use the speaker anywhere. It sounds great however everytime i turn it on, i hear a loud popping sound from the speaker, i guess i will need to put something between the power supply and switch to eliminate the startup popping sound?
That happens in car stereos if you don’t have soft power to your amp and it turns on quickly.
You can solve that problem with connecting huge capacitors between power rails.
Waiting for another project , 😁😁😁 free speaker please watching from Philippines
Thank you!!
Welcome sir Dony
what a magnificent work..
Thank you!
I really like this piece.
Is there a wood cutting pattern?
Thank you!
You can find the free build plans in the description of the video.
where did u get those exact crossovers??? they arent included in ur partslist :) best regards Toni
do a 3 way one!!
Great job. Can I ask what is the foam (at 8:43 in the video) that you have rapped around the wires called or where can I get it.
Thank you! These crossovers came assembled and already wrapped in foam. I'm actually not sure where you could get the foam, I guess an option would be to get some adhesive foam and wrap the cables in that.
Cute bluetooth speaker 👍
Thank you!
Awesome design, two such speakers would have been awesome, L + R speaker cabinets and should have lined the speaker inner walls with thick glass wool padding.
Thanks!
Nice speaker!!!
Thanks!
Hi! Will these speakers be enough for a party outside?
Excelente👌👌
Good job as always
Thanks again!
Wow that looks awesome!
Thanks!
Basically the most incredible I've seen in my entire life. And I do some serious woodworking. I'm super in to speaker systems too so this is my whole world perfected.
Thank you so much!
Can I have the name of that foam tape you use to wrap the cables to keep the together/rattling ? Or where can I buy it?
Красиво !
Мастер!
Спасибо большое за видео приятно смотреть
Quality ASMR
Love from south korea!
Thanks a lot!
Really impressive. Just out of curiosity though wouldn't acoustic foam or polyfill or even regular cotton glued on inside of the enclosure had suppressed or even kill those standing waves and made sound much better ?
Thanks ! How is the sound compared to isetta ?
I’ve just made a little speaker with my child from your instructable few days ago.
There will be an instructable for this one too ?
Are you sponsored by arylic ?
I can't make a direct comparison to the Isetta now since I do not have it anymore. I would say that I like this speaker more due to the 2-way speaker design producing clear highs and decent bass response.
Hey that is so cool that you made a speaker using my Instructable. Yup I just uploaded the Instructable for this one as well.
I am not sponsored by them, just testing their boards out.
What is the name of this material used to make the box? It doesn't look like wood to me
Nice! interesting in building one
Thank you!
Perfectionist 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Why two tweeters? It would cause a lot of issues with comb filtering. Really good workmanship!
Thank you! I just wanted to experiment.
Nice made, but there will be not much Stereo on this. But it could be used as center speaker.
Very nice work. Greetings from sunny Jamaica.
Thank you!!
Good Job. Looking excellent. But I would like to know the speakers and tweeters.
capacity you used
Thank you. Please check the links to the components in the description.
Wow, amaizing in making work. 🌹👍🌹
Thank you!
