I've been wanting to make one of my own Bluetooth speakers. Because I have a lot of old-school home stereo speakers. I have a set of very nice techniques 12 the mids and highs work great. On them they even have the medal fins that come down from the tweeters. So thank you so much Sir for making this video and providing the links of where to buy everything from.

Now I'm wondering if I'm going to build a portable bluetooth speaker that can be both battery powered and can be connected to the wall, how a battery pack can be connected to this setup so it can work and charge the battery when connected?

You could... change your thinking. Instead of asking someone to put it into steps for you, pause this video after each step and write that step down... and, in a LOT less time than waiting for another video...

Great walkthrough, I recently purchased a dta-2 amp like you have shown and quite like it. Has there been any issues pairing it with the sure BT board and how it is wired? Tempted to take the plunge on the next build

you can also do a tda7492p, it does both amplification and bluetooth receiving. tough it has some faults at higher volumes, they can be fixed by using 24 volts..

I like your simple explanations. Thanks for the video! Question for you, can I connect the Bluetooth device into a 1977 stereo receiver? I connected my iPhone to the receiver using an RCA (red/white) cable with 3.5 mm jack in the Tape deck input. Work pretty good. But to make it Bluetooth would really be better! Thanks!

I'd like to do this build but with an additional aux in 3.5 jack in the unit to plug my guitar into while i stream a backing track via my iphone, something i can currently do with a little bluetooth unit i have. I have an antique radio carcass I'd like to do a build in with holes for 2 pots, and I'd like to light up the dial window with led's. Do you have a plan for a build like this?
I like this video very informative. I'm trying to disassemble a old JBL pulse speaker it's not great sound quality, so DIY project to solder or rewire newer speakers and small MDF case lol. Just trying to figure what to do with it I mean I got it free years ago so it'll be my first project
You got another sub. :) I'm going to build something like this for an old old radio so we can play old music though it. Having the radio on sort of blows the moment.. you can't appreciate a 1940's radio when it's playing "anaconda".

I used your video for a speaker build using an a 50s era radio for a speaker box. It turned out great. I have one question for you. While the speaker sounds pretty good, it seems to miss the higher range of sound. For example, if I were to play the Beatles song Dear Prudence, there is pretty much no sound for the intro part of the song. Can I add a tweeter to improve the sound? Or do I need to wire a speaker to both the right and left speaker cirucits?

do you have to run the blue tooth board in series with the amp or could you have a designated power splice coming from your power source that powers the amp and blue tooth speaker at the same time?
Great video! But how about ground loop? With one wall adaptor powering both Amp and Bluetooth ground loop is inevitable I guess. Do you have any tips on that?
This was my first plan with the build you've shared with us, adding 12V of Li-ion batteries would make it an awesome portable speaker. I suggest doing a tutorial for the most basic bluetooth portable speaker since those get a lot of views and your channel would grow even quicker. Thanks again for the plans, and a great video again. Way back in the late 80s & early 90s I installed car audio for a living. I recently had a friend buy a 2016 Ram Pickup, and he asked me to put two pairs of speakers in the bed. Running the wires is a royal headache , since there's a bed-liner in it. Is it possible to use blue tooth to skip that part of the install?

I have one problem with bluetooth speaker that I made.
When I turn volume all the way up, suddenly everything drops out, just like loosing power.
Do you have such experience and did you use large capacitor to prevent this problem? I tried 1000uF and I did not success to prevent droping at high volumes :)

What sort of power adapter would you recommend? Seems like the links to this are no longer available for you sites right now? I bought the plans and now looking myself there seems to be a lot of different options including the barrel size.

Kirby do you have a board with a 60 to 100w output with the battery bank option that you would recommend me getting for a build like this? I'm looking to build a powerful, rechargeable speaker that I can charge at night and have enough battery to play all day at work.

Hi Kirby, is the Bluetoothboard in this build the whole time powered up? The on/off pot in my opinnion cuts only the power of the amp, isn't it?
first vid. just subscribed. love what you are doing and will watch more. building speakers is 10x better than buying. i wish i had the foresight to turn it into a business. very simple from what i see. if you have more advanced knowledge, release that as well for us that have built multiple speakers and are looking for that as well.

Now that the Wondom Amp Line has come out, would you consider updating these plans? I ask since I am in the market for a BT Amp and didn't know if you think this one, or the new Sure one, would be a better place to start.
Sounds like a silly question but if I wanted too make one myself but with higher watt speaks say 50w+ what sort of amplifier board would I need and Bluetooth module. Also if I wanted too use say 4 of said speakers how would I connect more than one and would the power supply need too be higher
Is this a stereo to mono amp? or do you only hear the left or right channel? Any way to combine the channels into one full range driver if it is not mono?
