Heck yes brother.
Yeah that intro was great, better than the 12 pro one
He probably put more effort into it than the actual review
Yes yes we can bro
Video started and instantly i scrolled to state EXACTLY this 💣🍑 intro
I have an 8. and it’s boggles me crazy how the 12 mini is smaller than the 8 yet bigger screen. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT
Just FYI. I got the Mini and its screen is actually ~2mm narrower than my 7 (despite being much longer). This affects both the size of text browsed vertically and 16:9 videos in horizontal mode. It may be ok for many, but I returned mine -- the vanilla 12 may be a better upgrade, as the 19.5:9 ratio is a bit extreme for a tiny phone.
It's not hard to grasp. The screen takes the place of the bezel. That's all.
There are laptops that have 14 inch screens in a 13 inch laptop body.
That's pretty normal
How does this even make sense? Get a job
@@PSYCHOV3N0M what?? How is that even possible
I went to the Mini after having the 6s and it’s been perfect for me so far! I went with the Mini purely because I didn’t want a brick for a phone
i'm also considering buying this. I'm currently using 6s, can you tell me about the difference in battery life?
How is the battery?
I’m a 6s user right now
My mini is Coming next week
Is the mini a ‘value for money’ phone?
@@rajrajput8280 coming from the 6s, it’s great! My 6s I’d have a full charge leaving the house for work at 9:00, have to charge it around 2 in the afternoon. Now? My battery lasts for my entire 10 hour shift and a couple hours after getting home.
@@SiddarthSenthilMurugan I personally think that it is, I absolutely love mine and the cost hurt (of course, it’s an iPhone), but after about 5 months of use, my phone is running just like day one. My 6s after 6 months? Not so much.
i have teeny tiny hands and tiny pockets so i’m just glad that apple is even releasing a mini phone tbh. i have an iphone 7 still and it’s the perfect size. i don’t need or want a huge phone, which unfortunately is not the norm right now.
I second that right there
The IPhone 12 is not that much bigger body-wise compared to the 7
I can't wrap my hands around the bigger phones so the 12 is perfect for me. Not concern about battery life, my phone rarely leaves the charger.
Why don’t you get a android? Like a small android phone

I still think the mini is the phone to buy if you have a tablet already. I really miss smaller phones.... cuz I have small hands 🥺😂
Exactly I have enough display with my iPad 12.9
I actually just enjoy smaller phones in general. The only reason I like bigger phones is because of the better battery life that can last a whole day comfortably with the notch taking up less of the screen.
I like the idea of being able to reach every corner of my phone. Definitely something I've missed since I have a note 9. Nice for games at least.
something i have noticed: tech reviewers have massive massive hands. so i’m sure you have normal hands compared to mkbhd
🥺
Not everyone is an enthusiast.... for some a mini is all they need
I picked mine up yesterday. As soon as I got it out of the box I was like “Wow, that is tiny!” Form factor-wise it reminds me of the iPhone 5, but with no home button. I took my iPhone SE (2020) out of its case and the mini fits completely within the front panel of the SE. A lot of my coworkers have the original SE as their work phone so I’m anxious to see the size difference between those two phones. I wanted the mini mostly because I do a majority of my mobile stuff on my iPad (also mini).
I hope this starts a trend of smaller smartphones, actually considering making the switch to iPhone for once
me, watching in the future as the mini phones got nuked and the base iPhone has a big version:
but in all seriousness im pretty bummed that they didnt come out with a 14 mini. it makes sense though because the 13 and 12 minis made up less than 5% of sales, and since the minis were the cheapest, they definitely had less than 5% of the profit, not to mention apple can keep manufacturing the same chassis and screens for the normal and "max" sized phones every year, so it's cheaper. with the mini they need to manufacture a whole new thing, because they haven't made a similar phone before
@@kellerflanagan3404Yep. At some point the cameras won't even fit into a smaller phone...
I love how the items in the background all changed from “Max” versions to “mini” versions in the pro Max review versus the mini review, respectively. Brilliant.

How's the battery? Does it die alot
I've just bought my iPhone 12 Mini and I think it was the best decision so far. The last iPhone that I had was the iPhone 4 around 2011 and to be honest, I didn't stay with iPhones mainly because of their price and because you can really find some fine android phones for less money. The issue for me lately was that phones seemed to get bigger and bigger if you want to have the most up-to-date stuff but when I saw the 12 mini in a store, I saw was I was looking for these couple of years. A really good phone, easy to carry and handle, nice camera, nice screen, and it just looks good.

Great review! I’ve been using smaller iPhones throughout the years. I first had the iPhone 5s and then I upgraded to the iPhone SE (2016 model) in 2017. In any case, I held off on purchasing a new iPhone for three years because one hand typing and portability were exceedingly important to me in a smart phone. It’s so nice to be able to hold a cup of Starbucks coffee in one hand, while typing a message with the other hand. Convenience like that is pretty much lost on larger, phablet sized phones. That said, I recently upgraded to the 12 mini (product red, to support COVID relief efforts) and I’m pretty happy with it. I can reach all parts of the screen with my thumb and one-hand typing is still comfortable. Although, I still believe that the 5s/SE was the perfect size for a compact phone. I would love for Apple to offer that form-factor again. As for the battery life on the 12 Mini, I always carry around an external battery and a fast charger, anyway.

As a 'light' user, I was looking out to switch from a 7 to a 13 Mini at the release of iPhone 14 (knowing there will be no more mini starting with iPhone 14). As it happened, I found a really great deal on an iPhone 12 mini (well, my wife did) so I checked the specs, compared them and decided to go for that which saved me a lot of money. I'm really happy with it but I completely agree, don't buy this phone if you're a 'heavy' user as the battery will drain. I don't care really, It feels great. Funny enough, it's slightly smaller than the iPhone 7 but with a larger (mainly height) screen real estate so it's a little getting used to the slightly smaller keyboard but so happy with it and looking forward to try out the camera quality on our next trip.
