In this video you will see learn how to prepare your cargo trailer roof for adding solar panels. I had to remove my old panels prior to our new solar install and we rushed to get it done before a massive storm.

Thanks for this. Always good to hear how other folk develop their projects ! Helpful.
Sure thing. We got the new panels and rack up in today’s video.
Very nice looking forward to the next update 👍
The full solar install video is coming this Friday! Ton of work but so worth it!
I put a full extension file cabinet slide type floor in my truck that will hold 1500 lbs. full extension with access to everything or 2k lbs. at 2/3 extension. I never have to get inside, and when traveling, I put a gas grill on the back which I can extend beyond the truck to fix dinner.
I’ve seen those and they look SO handy! Eventually I’ll put something like that in so I can access tools better.
@@TinyHouseVentures It wasn't an option for me as I am 77, and could no longer get inside, however everyone that sees it immediately wants one.
@@vonheise I bet!
What is the weight of your trailer including its contents?
We weighed in at 8k lbs with 50 gallons of water (half our capacity) prior to our rebuild that I’m just wrapping up now. I bet we added a good 200-400 more lbs.
@@TinyHouseVentures I'm debating between a Ram Promaster 1500 van vs. the 2500 series for pulling the same trailer and approximate weight. Looks like the 1500 (according to specs), would be borderline. The 2500 would be the safe bet. Your channel is helpful, thanks for the info.
@@joeyking2765 Yeah, a 1500 CAN pull it, but control it and stop it…2500 and up is what you want at this weight and size.
