  • This video will walk you through all the considerations when choosing a diesel heater and how we installed a portable heater permanently into our Cargo Trailer Conversion.
After our chilly escapade in Colorado and a looming Cold Snap across the country we decided it was time to upgrade our heating solutions...aka not freeze at night while sleeping under 5 layers of down blankets!
We went with a Chinese Diesel Heater from MaXpeedingrods and holy cow does this sucker cook!
    Our Diesel Heater:

    Split Type Diesel Heater (MaXpeedingrods):
    amzn.to/3FW3Tjq
Let us know what you think!
    Cheers,
    Daniel and LZ

What high temp silicone did you use? And did that work good?

Pretty sure I used this one: amzn.to/3tVRU3w
And it has held up well. I used a very liberal amount last year when I installed it and have not needed to add any more.

Does the heater exhaust stink outside after up and running especially in the colder dense winter weather?

If you are standing close to the exhaust, then yes, you can tell. But a few feet away and there isn’t anything. Importantly, make sure the exhaust is pointed out and away from the trailer/vehicle for safety.
