  • In this video we set off hiking from the trailhead of Devils Hall Trail at Guadalupe Mountains National Park and experience the amazing desert mountains and views of the rocky hiking trails to Devils Hall.
This hike is just under five miles out and back and listed as moderate by the national parks service. Alltrails rates this hike as hard but I can’t agree with that. It is a fantastic hike that most people can manage in a few hours, and it is great fun.
The desert mountains of Guadalupe Mountains National Park surround the trail on either side as the hiking trail changes in elevation only 577 feet. The wonderful Texas Madrone trees dot the fascinating landscape. These are a personal favorite.
On this trip, we camped at Pine Springs Campground site 16, spent a day at Carlsbad Caverns National Park, then hiked this trail the following day before heading back home. The entire trip filled our need for adventure temporarily.
