I live alone, work from home due to COVID, and I don't drink like I used to, but now I feel the boredom of not drinking is triggering in of itself, cause I can't smoke weed like my friends, that triggers my borderline. I don't know if anyone else is like this where THC makes me go down a hate myself spiral, I completely split on myself, but I see all my friends having fun with it, and I don't want to drink cause I too can't have just one, but then I am bored, and the boredom triggers me, I just wanna stop feeling sometimes.
Hate having an addictive personality, alcohol is ruining my life rn lol. But I'm back on day 1 and I'm trying again 💪

I understand the feeling of hating how the UK is very alcohol dependant. I've not had a drink since Christmas 2019 and every time I tell someone that I don't drink you can see the judgemental look on their face and tone in their voice as is I'm some sort of pariah for it. It's so ingrained in our culture that if you don't drink, you're "no fun", "boring" and "can't have a good time".
It’s awful isn’t it!! It’s sad because when people arrange night plans it’s always clubbing and I’m sad because I can’t go and if I do I’ll just be miserable! I wish finding sober people to make friends with would be easier!
