@@modder79alt23in the lore, catalyst blames seer for blowing up broken moon(catalysts home planet), since he was born at the exact same time as the destruction of the planet. The joke here is the fact that seer did nothing to destroy broken moon, like what happened at his birth. Hopefully this explains the joke

It's actually that Seer and Duardo were working together to bring the Apex Games to Seer's home planet to boost his people's economy BUT Duardo instead brought it to the planet's moon (and ignored his pleas to rectify this) and in doing so, exacerbated the issues the moon was facing and Catalyst merely saw it as Seer's doing given the push and blamed him. @@LoganDash
octane has twice the pick rate, horizon never had a chance probably why they didnt show us the numbers
True. Horizon is played by tryhard sweats, they're a minority of the game. Octane is very popular with normal players and casuals, so it's not surprising at all.

They are trying what? Keep doing these type of events that only pros and content creators can buy? Did you see the situation in ranked? Cheaters and sixmenners are everywhere, even in console lobbies
Are we gonna talk about all the bugs that are happening in these weeks, like the accounts resets? How much does it takes to queue and the completely broken sbmm? I literally just won a match against lvl 100 players with trash mates and it already queued me in a master lobby, where I died at the start

@@Prowl_X74v3not really. That was part of what made solo’s so much fun. It was the ONE TIME they actually listened to the community & gave us a game mode we asked for. I loved seeing 10 pathfinders fighting like Spider-Man while all the skirmishers (wraith, octane, Wattson) fought on the ground. It was chaotic as can be but it was waaayyy more fun & community driven than anything they’ve done recently. I honestly might’ve considered coming back to this game if they did this event or brought back Solo’s. But they didn’t & if I’m being real, that sucks A LOT cause between losing all my ranked badges from the last 5 years & the whole hacking debacle, I literally have zero incentive to want to play this game. Like, I’d rather play OW2 cause atleast the skins don’t cost 500$ and the servers don’t crash. That’s how low the bar is & that’s how badly Respawn is handling a multi-million dollar IP.

I feel like lore wise it wouldn’t make any sense for octane to keep the time gauntlet when Horizon needs it. This event might have happened silently but the end result would have been the same

That´s what Helldivers 2 does so it´s pretty cool that the community can impact something. In Helldivers 2 they top it up a notch tho. They released a new battle mech but they only released it if the community could kill a certain amount of enemies. If they failed this content would have been delayed for months.
I don't know why we are getting another hacker legend other than Crypto's sister but if it is his sister, I hope they do a crazy job tying in her back story with the portals and stuff but I don't think Alter is Mila. Maybe they are working together with Mila acting as Alter's hacker behind the scenes/Alter is Mila's muscle.
i thought the competition ran for the three weeks of the event? the free event store had horizon and octane cosmetics, including the "team horizon" and "team octane" holosprays, so i just assumed that was the time frame the community had to work with.
the lore comic was already in the game so it was already pre determined

I just had a crazy idea. What if respawn made a tournament where there is an in game leaderboard that tracks all the kills earned on each legend, and everyone is grinding their mains to get more kills and CZcamsrs could help rally the players and it would last like 1-2 months. I think it could got scrapped becaouse no mater if horizon or Octane won, horizon still ends up haveing the time travel gauntlet. It could be disappointing to lot of the players that no matter who won the ending would be basicly the same
I think if it was meant for “whoever gets more kills/wins wins the prize, Octane would’ve won anyways. Not because he’s OP but because I see him played EONS more than Horizon

It would have been cool if octane wanted to keep the time device and horizon would have to steal the time device or something.
To clarify, the competition started instantly as soon as the pop up showed to "choose your side" I actually saw a banner that said Octane was in the lead and he ended up winning, the only thing that is true is that they didn't tell us the stats for the event.
It isnt horizon who is gonna crash olympus its the new character. (The color of the portal matches the call sign of the new character.)
Im not sure what this means or if it was just a glitch but by hamond labs at the like the back door in the direction of the respawn beacon i was in from of the bushes and my wraith portal was round idk but it was wieed if someone whats to test stuff

likely it's gonna work by taking whatever your highest score out of your attempts is and using that to rank yourself on the leader board. You can then use legend tokens to do another attempt or wait x amount of time to try again. So likely all top 100 players are gonna be cheaters unless they inspect each of the players accounts after the event to make sure none of them cheated.
this system gives best players the most tries which is kind of disappointing
pretty sure as the top decreases they will increase reroll price
Honestly, I don't exactly like this outcome, but I don't hate it either. It prevents me from being like "Yes, they won!" and then like "wait. . .what if the other one won? I want to see the out come." Plus I don't really see Octane needing the gauntlet, other than it technically be his now. It would seem kinda selfish, which Octane isn't really that kind of character. (Excluding Octane mains stealing a golden helmet)

To be fair, I think the whole idea of Team Octane vs Team Horizon was standing on shaky ground to begin with from a lore perspective.
It would be cool to see that done in the future but maybe not with lore because if you forcefully push lore in an awkward position it wasn't meant to go in then you get some shaky writing as the writers attempt to get back on track by doing a massive loop in order to circle back around.
It needs to be done properly and they picked the worst scenario to do it because I guarantee they had fuck all ideas for what Octane would do with the gauntlet to drive the plot forward.
No point in Octane bringing back his "dad" because as we've seen he doesn't care about his "dad" at all. And why should he? All he did was abuse him. And as fun as bringing Navi back is as an idea when put next to Horizon's struggles, it wouldn't have done anything to move the story forward.

The ONLY thing we didn't see coming was, Respawn ditching Titanfall 3 to give it all to Apex.
I'm tired of battle Royale, been playing battlefield 2042 for a couple of weeks after uninstalling Apex and realized how much I missed casual multiplayer. If Naughty Dogs make a duos battle Royale with The Last of Us 2 with boats and Humvees, melee weapons, scarce ammo, infected underground zones with weapons cache, zombies to run from and a zombie gas as the ring, then that would be a battle Royale for me to play
Respawn is making the same mistake they did with cod, they're staying in the same old pattern making different maps, same old crap. They did different with Titanfall 1, but released Titanfall 2 too soon and at the worst moment to compete with Battlefield 1, Siege, Halo, and cod among others.

in a quick explanation: i think that horizon got to see her son again, but with that she made a butterfly effect and merge two time lines together, that's why the big Olympus png is flying above the maps
Alter is from this other time line/dimension and she knows wraith, that is the only character that can enter the void (for now, at least)

i think what makes it worse in particular is how garbage horizon is atm
her perk 1 is to see grenades or shields on deathboxes-- while *everyone* elses tier 1 atleast has 1 skill boost in some way (loba shop size increase, fuze ignores own ult damage, lifeline has tac cooldown, mirage gets an extra clone and faster ult, crypto get ult cd or drone cd, rampart has shiela buffs. etc)
and her perk 2 is just, cooldown or cooldown,
she has a bland kit thats stale every game while everyones either getting new shit or cool shit lol
